When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him?? Psalm 8:3-4 This has become one of my favorite verses. We stay so self-absorbed with our own lives and thoughts.....but think about it......There is a Creator.....who created all of the universe, the heavens, the stars, the oceans, the mountains....all nature we can see or hear....our Heavenly Father, created.....and yet he sees us as individuals.....and he loves each of us. He knew you when you were being formed in your Mother's womb....and even then, he knew his plans for your life.....None of us are here by chance or accident. And he knows us each one, better than we know ourselves...

Lately I have been haunted by regret. "I should have asked her out when I had the chance. Should have asked ### to give me her number. Should have tried to make friends with her." I see couples that are so happy together, and I immediately feel the urge to punch the nearest object out of frustration. It's not fair. Why can't I get a date, I can't even seem to be able to make friends. Everything stops me. If not rejection then a miscommunication. If not a miscommunication then a stand up or false number. If not that any number of obstacles I cannot surpass. I have given up hope of even finding someone at this point. And I'm miserable. I thought giving up was what God wanted me to do. I feel so cheated. I don't know what to think. I don't...
```markdown (I Samuel 9:15-16) “Now the day before Saul came, the Lord had revealed this to Samuel: “About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him ruler over My people Israel; he will deliver them from the hand of the Philistines. I have looked on My people, for their cry has reached Me.†In I Samuel 8 the Israelites asked Samuel for a king and this in itself is not what displeased the Lord it was the attitude in asking. They had had up and down faith. They did not conquer all of their enemies and the gods of the land infiltrated the Israelite community and they intermarried as well. So they began worshiping the gods of the land. This is the reason why we are to come out from them and be...
We can either love God because we hope for something from Him, or we can hope in Him knowing that He loves us. Sometimes we begin with the first kind of hope and grow in the second. In that case, hope and charity (love) work together as close partners, and both rest in God. All desires but one can fail. The only desire that is infallibly fulfilled is the desire to be loved by God. We cannot desire this efficaciously without at the same time desiring to love Him, and the desire to love Him is a desire that cannot fail. Only the one who has had to face despair is really convinced that they need mercy. Those who do not want mercy never seek it. It is better to find God on the threshold of despair than to risk our lives in a complacency...
(I Samuel 1:9) “Once when they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh, Hannah stood up. Now Eli the priest was sitting on his chair by the doorpost of the Lord's house.” Have you ever been in a place or maybe you are there now. A place in which the enemy has come at you for so long and so hard that the anguish in your soul is so much you cry out, “I have had enough!” In I Samuel 1 it opens with the story of Hannah. Her husband was ### and he was also married to ###. ### had two sons by ### but Hannah was barren. The Lord had closed her womb and in the story it does not give us a reason only that the Lord had closed it. In those times giving your husband sons to carry on the family name was of great value and not being able to have...
King Darius decided to divide his kingdom into 120 provinces and he appointed a high officer to rule over each province. The king also chose Daniel and two others as administrators to supervise the high officers and protect his interests. This King made a decision to put Daniel in charge because he saw Daniel as someone special. Daniel 3:3 says: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Let's look at this remark about Daniel, it says an excellent spirit was in him. Daniel had favor because he was a man who gave God time. He prayed and worshipped and thanked his God three times a day. He enjoyed being with his Lord and...
