Establish A Place For Prayer. Places matter to God. He made them too, you know. Think of these places: The Upper Room, Jericho, Bethel, Zarephath, Gethsemane. Jesus had special places for prayer. Mountains. Gethsemane. Go ahead...sanctify your own personal Prayer Place OR Closet. It will become a precious and treasured Place. P:S: I personally have a prayer corner but it's where u can feel the presence of God best, away from all distractions. Shalom! : And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, He was there alone,” (Matthew 14:23).
Greetings, The home page has now been updated with much of the functionality of the older version. The excerpts of the requests now show. The quick reply function works again. So far it will only use your first quick reply in your profile or it will use the default. The multiple options and multiple selections are not implemented as of yet. If you already prayed in a request, it will say Thanks for Praying in bold green instead of showing the Quick Reply option. This should make it easier to keep track of requests you have posted in. Instead of a blocked look, the prayer requests now use a single column with Infinite Scrolling. As you scroll down at the bottom, more prayer requests...
The site has just been upgraded from the place that makes the forum software. It was a major upgrade. The look of the site right now is the default appearance out of the box. The previous site looked similar without the customizations. I will be reviewing the custom parts of the site to see which can be re-enabled as time goes on. For now, it may take a little looking around to find things. The site will run slow for several days as some upgrade processes are still running in the background. Friends were removed from the latest forum software. Now they are followers. So any friends you had before will need to be re-added as followers. Since it involves receiving notifications, they weren't migrated over. Otherwise...
Hi everyone, I hope all of you are doing well. After I finishing praying a few moments ago I came across this verse ( Psalms 90 V 10). It states according to the New Living Translation " Seventy years are given to us! Some even live to eighty. But even the best years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they disappear, and we fly away." That verse stood out to me because so many times we do wonder why are we going through this hardship, why doesn't God answer my prayers, does God really care. But I just want you to know that it is only in those years fill with pain and trouble that builds character, and strengthens your faith in God. Why? because when you are in a hardship that you cannot make your way out by your own means, only...
Use Satan As Your Memo Pad. Every time you enter yourprayer time, satan will remind you of something you forgot to do. It may be a telephone call to make, an email to send, but it is designed to break your focus. Keep a memo pad and penhandy as you pray. When satan reminds you of something, simply write it down for later. Then say, “Thank you satan for being my memo pad.†Now, relax and enjoy your time with God. “Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices,†(2 Corinthians 2:11).
YOUR STILL LORD For as long as I can remember I have always heard about and been a believer in Jesus. One of my earliest memories as a child was asking mom and dad how to be saved? I wanted to know for sure that I would go to heaven to be with Jesus my Lord when I died. We were taught the Bible daily and my parents made sure we went to church every Sunday, mid week service and sometimes we would even go to cottage prayer meetings in some of their friends homes. Looking back, these things were truly a blessing to me. I didn't always appreciate these blessings at the time being a child, but my parents were giving me a solid foundation to stand on and live by for life, and for that I will always be grateful. My parents truly...
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. -Proverbs 3:5-6 Some times we try to know the will of God but are clouded by the desires of our own flesh, and we hear our own voices and think it is Him. Then, when what was presumed doesn't come to pass, we think that the Lord has broken His promises. At least, that's what I have done at times, but God has been so gentle and patient with my tantrums and guided me back towards the mind of Christ in those matters. There are other times, when I have heard God speak long ago, and the words seemed significantly irrelevant to my life at the time to the point where I could have easily written...
"A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God" Ecc. 2:24 Whereas I don't quote Ecclesiastes often, there is a certain truth in the verse above which is echoed in the New Testament, "Work as unto the Lord not Man," and, "in whatever your hand finds to do do it with all your heart." But if one is tithing, there is a sense of fulfillment in advancing the Kingdom (providing you find a church with the interests of God in mind, not man). Tithing extends the Kingdom and rebukes the devourer (Malachi). Prayer asks God's blessings on the workplace so one can enjoy a small microcosm of the kingdom even in the world, with favor and open doors to...
The Greatest Treasure Matthew 5:45 That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven: for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. The Lord has spoken a very important principle in this scripture which I think we sometimes tend to overlook. Many believe and even teach that if someone acquires material possessions or is blessed enough to have good health, then God has surely given them favor, and that if someone is undergoing extreme trials, it must be because they have sinned or that they lack faith. But the Lord says that the sun rises and the rain falls on both the righteous and the unrighteous alike. A life of good circumstances does not...
Church, do you have the gift of tongues?? If u do then read on, if u don't then u should because it is such an advantage over the enemy of our souls!. He doesn't want you praying or speaking in tongues because even the scripture emphasizes it.: Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. Paul says i'm glad i speak in tongues more than Ya'll. Saul was once a terrorist to the church you can say. But God knew he could use him mightily, and turned him into Paul. And what does Apostle Paul now say to the church in Corinth? For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 14:2. So we're not...
