(Colossians 3:13): “Bear with one another and forgive one another if any of you have a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord has forgave you.” As true believers, we know and understand the very important command of our Lord to ‘forgive’. How important is it? Forgiveness is the sole reason the Lord gave His life for us. For the ‘forgiveness’ of sins. And what does the Lord tell each of us about the results of forgiving, or the lack thereof? (Matthew 6:14-15): For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others sins, your Father will NOT forgive your sins.” But wait a minute! Are we not told that if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior...
We read "Jesus went about healing all manner of sickness, and delivering all those who were afflicted of the devil"The word here is ALL.Because I notice on the site, one person on the site{or me}posts about a problem, another posts about a different kind of problem, and the 1 person gets maybe 1 reply 45 minutes later, and that's it, and the other gets 5 replies within 10 minutes. And I notice which type of requests get more play. Now the problem, I don't think this would be happening if we didn't have what I call a "ratings sheet",where we come to our own conclusions about which problem is more "important"..Remember, Jesus healed ALL. He didn't have a" ratings sheet," and show partiality towards one persons problem over another. To the...
"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:9) A lot of times, we have our own ideas about how things should work out in life. But God’s ways are not our ways. In Scripture, God brought water out of a rock. Jesus told Peter to go catch a fish, open its mouth, and there was the money he needed for taxes. Another time, God caused a young lady named Mary to have a baby without knowing a man. He is God. He can use things we would expect, or He can make things happen another way. With God, you don’t have to figure everything out. All you have to do is believe. In fact, it says in Proverbs, “Lean not to your own understanding.” Sometimes there is...
“Our capacity to love determines merit” Who determines merit, and where does it end? Where one is from does not determine his/her worth (merit). What happens when the script is flipped, and some man determines that the ways in which the potter shaped your clay, be it: physical, mental, affluential, or otherwise, is of lesser merit? EXCLUDED dark skin kinky hair Spanish speaking handicapped elderly mentally impaired short men fat women factory workers (we can use robots) hillbillies, hoodrats, rednecks, wetbacks (and the descendants thereof) (you get where I’m going with this . . . ) At some point, divisiveness, evolved into bigotry, being rooted in...
Today I stumbled and sinned. I am here to tell you that no matter how far away you feel from God or how much you have sinned lately, He is still there waiting with open arms to welcome you back into His presence. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 I would be unrealistic to say i don't sin. If this happens to you, do not take the devils bait and fall into depression and anxiety. Get right back up and continue to do God's work. In some of my darkest days, He has used me for His...
Wondering if taking advantage of someone is a sin.Because I feel it's been done to me, although lately I'm turning them down more.{But there's so many of them.}If it's a sin , it may fall under the umbrella of selfishness, because the person taking advantage of you is only considering their own interests, and doesn't care if they inconvenience you.And selfishness because if they sense a soft spirit, instead of appreciating it,they see it as an opportunity to use you for their own purposes. I would think it's a sin.Any insight?
A Call to Prayer is issued by Paul in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 -- "First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." We should start from the tops of our nations, here in the States, for The President, down through the House, Senate, Legislation, Supreme Court and on to all Federal Officials, Military Commanders, CIA, FBI, Postal Workers, State and Local Governments, Local Authorities, Mayors, Councilmen, Law Enforcement...
"There are only Twelve Simple Principles by which one leads a truly Spiritual Life. Honesty, Hope, Faith, Courage, Integrity, Willingness, Humility, Brotherly Love, Justice, Perseverance, Spirituality, and Service. NONE of these are possible without the development of TRUST! YOU WILL LEARN TO TRUST ENOUGH WHEN YOU HAVE HURT ENOUGH. There is very little hope of ever putting these into Practice if we always do things the way we have always done things. WE MUST CHANGE THE WAY WE DO THINGS TO CHANGE THE WAY WE ARE! -- BELIEVE IT!" 'Praise God'
The slandered, Haitians, Africans, El Salvadorians, ye are in the place of GOD; for the earth is the LORD’s and its’ fullness thereof, the world and everybody it. But, as for you, you thought evil against (them); BUT GOD meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive. THANK YOU LORD Evil must be called out, confronted, and purged; for evil doth recoil. “A little leaven . . . “ The price, for such, is very costly. (1 Corinthians 5:6-7) God created the earth; the whole earth. What kind of a person would call that which God created, anything other than perfect? The FOOL says “there is no God:” Blatant disregard for God’s Word, in one’s deeds, is to openly...
