At sometime in our lives, everyone ponders what actually takes place with us when we die. Some believe that death is finale and there is nothing more. Others believe that when we die we ‘sleep’ until the resurrection. Still others believe that some go into the ‘light’ while others remain lost in the form of ‘ghosts’, wandering the earth confused needing our guidance back to the ‘light’. Then there are those that believe we go before or Lord and begin eternity. Who is right in this? Let us look at these in light of Luke 16:19-31. God’s Word is full of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. And if we look closely, the Lord will reveal understandings that we may not see at first, but later become very clear. “Call to...
In Genesis, after God created Adam, and before Eve was created,God stated, "It's not good for the man to be alone."Now the question is,by God stating,"It's not good for THE man to be alone",was He referring to just Adam,in his current situation, or it meant everybody?Because if He meant everybody, there are some of us{like me, and some others}who actually have reasons they PREFER to be alone, and do things alone. Not only that, I can give reasons ,and examples, that there are certain ADVANTAGES to being alone, or doing things alone.Like, if you have a certain pattern that works for you, if you take care of your thing with someone else, it usually messes up your plan. This has happened to meSecond, if you're in an overcrowded area, you could...
God, like parents, gives a period of time for the demands of infants who only know how to cry for milk. There comes a time that, as we desire the milk of the Word (1 Peter 2), we "grow up in respect to our salvation" to see that God is not like Santa Claus, just there for us to bring lots of presents and we give him milk and cookies : ) The Lord's Prayer is the most profound prayer ever taught to man and every prayer Jesus ever prayed that is recorded in Scripture has elements of it contained within it. How could we ever graduate from asking God that His Kingdom advances in the earth and that only His will would be done all the time? Sadly most believers ever get past knowing the God of Ezekiel 2 or Isaiah 6 or...
This morning when I woke from be, I ask the Lord what is His will for my life during the year. A voice came down from heaven and said. You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart. Jer. 29.13 Remember that you are beautiful in the sight of the Lord. You are loved and you are needed by Jesus. Who shall go out for Me? He asked. Who will share the wonderful promises I have for them? I will. I will go wherever You want me to go. I will do whatever things you have stored for my life. He said. You are alive for a reason. You are stronger than you think. I have loved you with an everlasting love. Continue in My love. Yes Lord, Yes I...

In 2 Timothy we read a list of bad traits people will have in the last days. I didn't see disrespectful listed specifically, but I think I've seen enough of an uptick in it over the past.Like through the Bible we see how we're supposed to love others, but while loving someone you don't disrespect them. Look at the philosophy nowadays.Compared to our parents generation they may not have been spiritually perfect, but at least they had some constraints on certain things. Now, let's say an old person inadvertently when walking cuts off a young person, whereas in the past they had a little more respect, now they might curse the old person out , or even beat him up,with no conscience!!People in authority were given more respect, but now, I've...
"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim 2:1-3). Paul told Timothy to pray for kings and all in authority when Nero was the Emperor... “On behalf of kings” refers to all those individuals who are governmental leaders. It not only refers to the Roman Emperor Nero but all those who governed the provinces that were under his authority. So Paul is not only calling the Ephesians (The City where Timothy was...
The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken. Matthew 13:57-57 57 A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. 58And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. 1 Corinthhians 13:2 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. JESUS was beheld as nothing more than the son of a carpenter, in His own hometown: not because He had no love for the people, but because they had no love for Him. When Jesus returned to his hometown...
