Worship the Lord today with song and praise!! Praise him with the tambourine and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Psalms 150:4 Exalt His Holy Name!!! Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and glorify the King of heaven, because all His works are true and His ways are just. He is able to humble those who walk in pride. Daniel 4:37 Thank Him in all things. The bad, the good, whether suffering a trial or enjoying a blessing!! In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Read the bible today, start a fast, encourage someone, help someone, be the change and the difference people see in you. This is what will bring them...
I've said this before, but when the world tries to push something on it's followers, it doesn't work small time,It really crams it down your throat from every angle. Now, this yoga trend. It's "in" to go to yoga classes,"meditate"to calm down, etc. We always hear of a busy housewife saying she does yoga stretches and meditates to have an "outlet".So some Christians ask, "well, is it alright if we just do the exercises, not the worship?"Taking a look at it,even the excercises are meant to go into postions that open certain spiritual sources to the wrong type of spirituality.I say we shouldn't get involved in it, because some of it can be connected in ways we don't even realize, given its originsWhy create an opening?
Our hearts shines like the sun when we lift our voices to the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song.... says the Psalmist. This is for a reason. To get us closer and closer to the heart of God. Jesus patiently waiting for each one of us to get home and start the glorious song of praise to God along with the angels and all the saints and those who loved God with all their heart, mind and soul. Our thoughts slip by as time goes by, but those who trust in the Lords promises will never ever miss the mark. Words silently written for those who hunger and thirst for the living God. Praises unending shall come out of your heart. With a thankful heart. Jesus never failed us yet and will never fail anyone who comes to Him. Humble...
Suffering! As believers, this can be a difficult thing to study and acknowledge in all of our lives. We need to understand that we will ALL suffer as believers at some point, or points, in our lives. And we should never blame God for it; that He is not faithful to His Word; that He doesn't hear us! "God, in all His wisdom, has a purpose for our pain, a reason for our struggles, and a gift for our steadfast faithfulness." "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6) NIV. There is a path we all must follow when we choose to give our lives to the Lord and follow Him. And this path will have many test and...
We share many traits with our families. But one thing we don't always share with them is our spiritual outlook. We can be miles apart there. In my own case, I always took an interest in Biblical things, and eventually came to the Truth and became saved. However, those around me took a completely different path.My mother was always fascinated with the occult,as far back as I can remember. So my sister followed that, after hearing it just blindly believed, and closes her mind when you try to tell her otherwise. My aunt ,who at one point I thought might be coming to the Truth, I was wrong. Sadly, she reinforced her anti-Christian rhetoric, and also believes in evolution, and aliens from ufos, which most Christians believe is a demonic...
God has a glorious purpose for your suffering So often when we face incredible difficulties we ask God, “Why?” We wonder if we have just become a pawn in his chess match against the devil. But Paul reminds us that God has a purpose for our sufferings: eternal glory. He tells us we are children of God, “provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him” (Rom. 8:17). And lest we wonder if the glory is worth it, Paul adds, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us” (Rom. 8:18). God has something in store for you that is so great and so amazing that when that day comes, you will say that the hardship was worth it. It may be...
God works all things, including your suffering, for good Not only does God have great things in store for us in the future, but he also works now through our sufferings for our good. “For we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” (Rom. 8:28). We have no reason to fear that our trials will bring us to our demise, since God has a way of working such situations out for good. As Joseph said to his brothers who sold him into slavery, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good” (Gen. 50:20). What is the good that God intends for us? Although God does not promise that our circumstances will improve, he does promise that our circumstances...
God wants to restore your soul. What does that mean? Your soul is your mind, will and emotions. You are a three-part being: you have a spirit — that’s the part of you that lives for eternity, you have a soul, and you live in a body while you’re here on earth. Your soul is where the enemy tries to attack you and hold you back. Your soul is where you may have brokenness from the past or hurts and disappointments, but when God restores your soul, He brings His healing power to those broken places. He makes you whole again. And when God restores you, He makes you better off than you were before! Notice that He leads us beside quiet waters. He makes us lie down in green pastures. This is a picture of rest. When we are resting in Him, He is...
You'd be surprised, sometimes things that happen in 2 different categories have more in common than you'd think.Take, for example, an epidemic of a physical sickness.Like, during flu season, how does it spread? One person in a family gets it, then another at close range because the germs have spread. And so on in the outside. Now take an "epidemic" of spiritual misinformation, or, if you call it, deception of the devil. How does it spread?Say, a parent is into the occult, the kids hear it, and they get this "germ" of unbelief spread to them.you could almost say they "caught it", from someone infected by those false beliefs.Like the flu starts with one or 2 people, then picks up steam and spreads,so too with the spiritual, and other sins of...
