Wondering about the Biblical viewpoints on this, but I have my ideas. The Bible says all things in moderation. It also says,to everything there is a time,a time to laugh, a time to cry, etc. "A time" means a beginning and an end.not for something to go on forever. Ok, that in mind, the subject I had in mind. When someone close to us dies,it's normal to miss them, and to feel bad. However, I've known 4 or 5 people who, years later, are still in awe over the fact that the person{usually a husband or wife}has died they keep rehashing every detail, they're still "mourning" years later, they don't want to move on with their life.I knew one lady, every time I took her to the airport, for the whole 1/2 hour ride, she went over every detail of how it...
Proverbs 4:7: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. James 1:5: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it shall be given him. Let’s Pray: God I ask You in Jesus’ name give me understanding and discernment for what I don’t understand that You want me to understand and have discernment in. God with all my getting let me get true understanding. And God bless me with wisdom and discernment how to deal with the understanding that You give me and operate in wisdom. God do the same for the writer of this prayer, those I love, and care about. We all need wisdom, understanding, and discernment. God forever honor this prayer...
One thing I notice is that people in the media, or Hollywood, sell off their morals for their sponsors.Like,I hear "liberal" news networks, and comedians, realizing, for example, that they might have large percentages of their audience who are gay, or other sins, proclaim how "for" those causes they are,to the roaring approval of their sinful audiences.{Compared to us, who try to convince people to COME OUT OF their sins.}And these "comedians, who get cheap laughs by throwing mud at people doing the right thing. But what does the Bible say about "selling out", even for money?Well, let's look at what happens when the Antichrist comes."Noone will be able to buy or sell, unless they take the mark, in their right hand or forehead."And if you...
"Do you not know what the Scripture says in Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel: “Lord, they have killed Your prophets, they have torn down Your altars, and I alone have been left, and they are seeking my life"? But what was the divine answer spoken to him? “I have left to Myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” So then also, in the present time, there has been a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, it is no longer from works; otherwise grace no longer would be grace." Whenever God makes a direct utterance from Heaven it is very important to write that down, as The Hebrews of Old were very religious about. In the passage above from Romans 11, Paul is explaining 1 Kings...
One thing I see "the world" do, is if someone is asked if they ever participated in a certain sin, like gay marriage, or adultery, they often blurt back,"of course. This is not my parents generation."They say,"This is the 21st. century now. We don't believe in "old fashioned" values, like marriage, heterosexual relationships, etc".Also, the tv shows back this up, because they cater to their audiences, who are"progressive", so they "sell out" and have shows where they make the sinful thing look normal, and the person with morals look "old fashioned."But look into the Bible. See the statement,"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, TODAY, and tomorrow." And there are certain things called sin then, that haven't changed. Moreover, these sins...
I wonder if the Bible addresses anywhere being our own individual person, as opposed to all thinking like puppets.Because as I look around, I see that I'm the only one who doesn't do certain things. Obviously, I'm the only person in the world who doesn't drink coffee.I'm obviously the only person around who doesn't hate president Trump, and constantly badmouth him. I'm the only one who actually sees BENEFITS to being alone, compared to those who get depressed over it.I'm the only person imaginable who won't go to any lengths imaginable for money, and would rather have certain other things than money. Now what I would think, is that God created us with our own unique natures, not robots.Yet most people are like carbon copies of each...
3 Things Depression Does To Us Spiritually... 1) steal our joy 2) kill our peace 3) destroy our identity But don’t despair. Scripture says “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). We just have to be aware of the enemy’s tactics so we can fight them head on. 1) Despite the enemy’s attempt to steal our joy, stand on God’s promises to make our joy full. 2)To kill our #peace, the enemy invokes worry, fear and anxiety. 3) The enemy taunts us with our failures to destroy our identity. We must refute the enemy with the Word of God. It’s our safeguard. Our Strong Tower...
(What an amazing and blessed scriptural journey my life has been) Ezekiel 40:2-4 In a vision of God he took me to the land of Israel and set me down on a very high mountain. From there I could see toward the south what appeared to be a city. As he brought me nearer, I saw a man whose face shone like bronze standing beside a gateway entrance. He was holding in his hand a linen measuring cord and a measuring rod. He said to me, “Son of man, watch and listen. Pay close attention to everything I show you. You have been brought here so I can show you many things.” “Then you will return to the people of Israel and tell them everything you have seen.” THERE IS NO DISPUTING GOD’S INDISPUTABLE WORD I have had many questions during my...
