God chose the weak things of the world

I put 2 and 2 together about something. Sometimes when you're younger, out of inexperience and lack of foresight, you make "life mistakes" that don't just affect you in that time frame, because they're at a "pivotal" time in your life {teenage years} {the bridge between childhood and adulthood, the years where decisions you make will set you up for life}. I can think of 2 main ones, 2 categories, but both caused by the same mindset, an immature mindset that I didn't take one thing seriously, and the other, some misjudgments, which, by the time I realized it, it was too late to change it. BUT, in line with what I'm saying, let's look at it spiritually. "God chose the weak things." Whereas others made the "right moves," and are now "successes" according to most people's view of success, the executive with the beautiful wife, making $200,000 a year, is in so many cases in spiritual trouble__marital problems, maybe an alcoholic, sooo.. it makes me think, maybe my "dumb decisions" in my younger years was part of the pattern, that being a "loser" by the world's standards, was actually part of the pattern for God to lead me to Him. {Although it could work the other way, a "successful" person, the $200,000 a year executive, I've read in Gospel tracts, people's testimonies that they had all the "success" in the world, but they had unhappiness, a drug habit, marital problems, etc., but then, God touched them and they got saved.} But in my specific case, it was more of a "weak things of the world" situation.

All the money and all the power you or I would have right now will not enter heaven. Material possessions and all degrees we got here on earth will not enter the gates of glory. The only thing we will take to the holy presence of Jesus in heaven is this. The lost souls that we brought to Jesus' feet and the eternal word of God written down in our hearts. So, do not worry about who is making more money right now. Worry about how many souls you have brought to Jesus, how many churches you have built for Him and memorize God's word in obey what it says.

We are not losers, I'm 66 and have a rented room, hardly enough money to get by on, but I'm far better off than most people. I have the love of Jesus. We are not weak; we have the armor of God. May God continue to bless you. Amen

Doing this or that will not help to enter and inherit the kingdom of God. By doing this or that we can become proudful and self-righteous and showing other people what they should do or not do, rather than show love, patience, and acceptance. Nothing you do will help you enter the kingdom of God. This is God's work, so that no one can boast. I think rather this way. God gives you grace to do and receive what He has already done and prepared for you, and through obedience, you will get things He has for you and do things to others that He wants you to do. So feeding on the word of God and being in His presence, praying is the only thing that can help you to inherit the kingdom of God. Everybody has his own path. Bringing people into the kingdom of God can be someone's priority, and for someone else, it could be praying or feeding the poor, etc... if you know what I mean.[/QUOTE]

My blog,"How we differ from other religions",shows works vs. Grace, and how other religions are based on works.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."
They believe salvation through their deeds.

A pattern is becoming clearer to me...what's widely accepted by the world, the opposite is usually chosen by God. One thing with changing gender roles, it seems men with characteristics of men are not too popular these days. Women, who to me seem to robotically follow worldly trends, go for men...

"God chose the weak things of the world, that He might put the strong to shame." Well, I have to look no further than my own life to see that. Some by my own bad choices, and some by just a life of bad "luck", but looking at myself, I can see I'm not what "the world" would call a "success". When...

1 Corinthians 26. Christian friends, remember the time when God called you to come to him. Think about what you were like. Not many of you were clever or powerful in the way that people think is good. Not many of you belonged to important families. 27 Instead, God chose to use things that...
