"We need to accept the difficulties and disciplines of life so as to fully share the common life of other people. Many things that we must accept in life are not to be taken so much as being necessary for us personally, as to be experienced in order that we may share in the sufferings and problems of humanity. We need sympathy and understanding. We must share many of the experiences of life, in order to understand and sympathize with others. Unless we have been through the same experiences, we cannot understand other people or their makeup well enough to be able to help them." 'Praise God'
Guard my heart to love You more than ever before. Fill me with Your love and mercy. Clothe me in humility so I can serve others just as You did. Make me a servant of the living God. Guard my tongue so I can always bless others. Give me wisdom that comes from heaven. Help me to walk by faith and not by sight. Guide my steps towards heaven. In Jesus name. Amen
No ministry can succeed without much praying, and this praying must be fundamental, every abiding, and ever increasing. And no ministry can be a spiritual one, securing holiness in the preacher and in his people without prayer being made an evident and controlling force. God’s true preachers have been distinguished by one great feature: they were men and women of prayer. Colleges, learning, books, theology, preaching cannot make a preacher, but praying do—E.M. Bounds Let’s Pray: God I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with a praying spirit. Give me a greater, deeper, richer, truer prayer life and God do the same for the writer of this prayer. Thank You Jesus. Amen! A Praying Pulpit Begets a Praying Pew—E.M. Bounds
Before departing planet earth we all should remember this... You are loved and cared by Jesus. He has chosen you from the beginning of the earth. He will never ever forget you nor what you did for His glory and honor. You are beautiful in the sight of the Lord. You are so kind and good to everyone who came in contact with you. You are so smart and full of wisdom because you have given your entire life to the service of God. You are so lovely and nice to those who come to you and ask for help. You are amazing because Jesus lives in you and shines all over the place. You are so strong in your faith and in your love for the Lord. Everyone loves you because you are a true witness for Jesus. So, do not grieve for me when...
Having been Spiritually led into a place of quiet refrain, I pray the God will grant me reprieve for this small deviation. I was so moved by this video during a recent web surf; my spirit absolutely beams each time I watch it. I simply cannot with this church . . . this is just too sweet. “Worship 101” - what a blessing. “Because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.” FATHER in Heaven, in giving humble gratitude for the little things, I lift this church up in Your name, that it be little no more. I ask that You open the floodgates and fill this place with worshippers, as these have filled their mouths with praise. Cause now their praises to be heard throughout the land. Let everyone who...
A prayer for God's peace Thursday 27th September 2018 'You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you.' Isaiah 26:3 NLT God's peace doesn't mean we'll have a stress-free life. Instead, it gives us the security of knowing that when problems come, we don't have to be anxious, because God is with us. Today, pray this prayer for God's peace: 'Lord, your Word says, "God's peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ" (Philippians 4:7 NCV). Today, I need this amazing peace to settle my nerves and calm my mind. Fill my heart with your peace, until there's no room left for stress and worry. Your Word says, "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust you" (Isaiah 26:3 NLT). Instead of...
We recognize certain things that we can say are from the Fall. We wouldn't have died, but inherited imperfect bodies, so death. {"Through one man death entered in".} Sinful nature happened after the Original Sin. But one thing I see, and have been on the receiving end of myself, is unfairness. Like, because people are imperfect {and not everyone has as much perception as me, to "read between the lines"} many accept a stereotype about this type of person or another, and act upon it, which to the one who is on the receiving end of it, and doesn't fit the stereotype, it's not "fair" to them. Then, we see imbalance in things, like, those who want to "tone down" on work, actually get more of it, so they don't have time to do their thing, or...
