What would you do when you find yourself all alone in this world. No one cares, no one asks for you anymore and you feel forgotten by everyone... You spouse told you. I am leaving you and not coming anymore. The children are broken hearted and crying. You feel sick down deep in our soul. You and I will feel so alone in this world and lost in the middle of all this trouble. So, we must turn to Jesus and hear His voice. Come unto Me all ye who are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me... For I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest to your soul. Matt. 11.28,29 Let us all hear the voice of the Lord. Whem my ailing mother is so sick, She is in pain and does not want to eat...
Kindness Sunday 2nd September 2018 'I will surely show you kindness.' 2 Samuel 9:7 NIV In Bible times, when a new king ascended to the throne, he usually killed or banished every member of the old king's family. When King Saul and his son Jonathan died in battle, David became king. Jonathan had one remaining son called Mephibosheth. David called him to the palace, saying, 'I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table' (2 Samuel 9:7 NIV). David showed great kindness to someone who the culture of the day demanded he kill or banish. And, to suddenly meet the king, and eat at his table, must have been...
Honor, and the true measure of a man is evident, not only in his ability to thrive on the peaks, but more so, in his courage to endure and persevere through the valleys. Though his hands were bound and his voice silenced, for a time; God, having other plans, said to his captors, "Not This Soldier." A declaration, which John McCain, in refusing to be pigeonholed, seemed to reverberate throughout his career. Even at the very end, he let it be known to those who expected a certain political or personal norm, "Not This Soldier." Today, in setting aside racial, religious, and political norms, we pause to honor "This Soldier." Commentary: There are some people, upon whom God bestows STUBBORNNESS, that they may withstand difficult...
A thought just came across my mind. Oh, i would want this so much, to be preferentialy treated like that. "But, you have no right to ask that. You are just spoiled. You ask to much."" But, some other good voice said to me: YOU ARE MY BELOVED AND I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I WILL FAVOR YOU, JUST WHEN IT SEEMS TO YOU OR TO OTHERS THAT IT IS UNFAIR, BUT THIS IS MY FAVOR. NOT TO ASK YOURSELF WHY, BUT WHY NOT? GOD LOVES HIS CHILDREN. THIS MEANS TO BE PREFERENTIALY TREATED JUST WHEN OTHERS THINK THAT YOU ARE SPOILED. WHY NOT?
Saturday 1st September 2018 'So that you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything.' James 1:4 CEV James writes: 'Be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble. You know that you learn to endure by having your faith tested. But you must learn to endure everything, so that you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything' (James 1:2-4 CEV). Trouble isn't usually something we're glad to have. We try and avoid it, or pray for it to end quickly. When life brings us to a low, we can become low and get tired waiting for the trouble to pass. Often we question God's goodness and nearness, and ask him, 'Why'? James tells us that through tough times we gain endurance and spiritual maturity. And, Romans 5:3-4 (TLB) tells us...
Devotional from word for today 31 August 2018 Don't rejoice when your enemies fall.' Proverbs 24:17 NLT When someone achieves something, we may feel resentful. Maybe we want that success for ourselves, or maybe we feel they're not deserving of the success. But that's not how God expects us to react. The Bible tells us to, 'rejoice with those who rejoice' (Romans 12:15 NIV). We need to be celebrating people's success, not resenting them because of it. And that includes celebrating the successes of those who've hurt us or the people we really don't get on with. That can be pretty challenging. When we're feeling hurt, betrayed or disappointed, it can be tempting to want that person to fail. There's something in seeing them fail that...
The world has some offbeat ways of looking at the dead. One, it seems anyone who dies is automatically proclaimed to be a wonderful person.People who were victimized by a persons misdeeds in life, all of a sudden give a glowing speech about what a wonderful person the deceased was.But lets look at that. When Charles Manson died, were we supposed to say he was a kind hearted, wonderful person? And Hitler? And Emperor Nero?{I mean, if they died in their sins?}Let's see what we read in the book of Revelation."And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before the Thronre. And books were opened. And another was opened, it was the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according those things written in the Books. AND WHOSOEVER was not found...
