More than half of Americans believe that churches and religious organizations are good for the country, according to a recent Pew Research Center survey. But in a seemingly contradictory result, 63 percent say the church and other houses of worship should stay out of politics. In other words, Americans think the church has a positive impact on society, but they also think the church should keep quiet on cultural and political issues that set the present and future course for our society. Or more directly: Churches, you make this country better, now stay out of the important matters that define our country. Huh? For evangelicals such as myself, this issue has profound personal implications. As my former pastor repeatedly said, the...
Father, please forgive me for the times I have said and done things rashly. Please remind me to consider self-control as “God-control”. It’s not trying to control myself with human effort. But rather it is depending on the Holy Spirit to guide my ways and choices. Lord Jesus Christ, You defeated satan in his attempts to tempt you to flaunt Your power with a spirit of self control. And now I call upon Your blessed name. I ask You to bless me with this virtue, which is very much needed in most aspects of life. I seek Your assistance and guidance. May Your Holy Spirit fill me with power, as I come in prayer and raise my supplications before You. Lord Jesus, empower me with a spirit of self control when I’m tempted with sexual desires...
To lay on the chest of Jesus and tell Him that I love Him with my whole heart, mind and soul. He has been everything to me and has healed me from a horrible desease. I want to listen to His still small voice and obey what He says. To protect all my children wherever they are. Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. I want to let go everything I had kept in my heart and give it all to Jesus. Bitterness and hate does not come from the Lord. I want to tell the Lord that I love Him with my whole heart and I want to see Him face to face when I enter heaven. I want and desire to read His word every day and obey what it says. Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stands in the way...
1, By reading His word every day and obeying what He says. 2. By living and walking by faith in HIm alone. 3. By obeying what He said. 4. By sharing the Lord with everyone we see around us. 5. By waiting daily for His appearing. Jesus said. I am coming soon and My reward is with Me. 6. By becoming a missionary and going to the ends of the world to preach, teach and tell people who Jesus is and why He came to this world. 7. By living a holy and pure life before Him and before others. Follow peace with all men and holiness without which no one shall see the Lord. God surely listens, understands and knows what you are going through. By loving HIm we find strenght and mercy. Continue on to our eternal goal in life, that...
Let us all remember that our families are like a branches on a tree. We grow in different directions but the root remains the same. If Jesus is the center of our families those branches will become a light that shine all over the world. Like Jesus family. They taught, prayed and took Jesus to church and He grow up in the knowledge of the Lord. Jesus loved to be with Gods family and talk and pray with them. His parents were looking for Him all over the place. Whe found Jesus said He loved to be with Gods family. Let us all fast and pray for our families to be full of the presence of Jesus. One sweet day, we will see all of them in heaven.
Precious Father, I marvel at the way You love me from immaturity to maturity, from brokenness to wholeness. You don’t berate me for my blunders or belittle me for my weakness. You meet me in those places and make me strong. You bind up my wounds so they can heal. You give rest to my heart so it can beat strong again. You are with me. You are God Most High. Do a miracle in and through me, Lord! Heal my soul and make me whole. Make me a Kingdom person. Help me to live a life totally disproportionate to who I am. May others pursue You when they see what You do through me! In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
Those who follow me may remember I once gave this same praise report about being free from masturbation back in March or April 2018. But as I was also battling heavy depression, great loneliness, and heartache at the time, I had relapsed only to battle severe depression 'til March 2019 when I started taking medication to aid me. Today I am a healthier and happier man than I have been in many years, and I am once again free from masturbation. And viewing pornography now has become disgusting to my heart and to my eyes Glory be to God! I also give praise for the Christian ministry God has allowed me to be a part of my college campus and the opportunities he is now presenting before me!
