June 13, 2020 | From Lawofficer.com Article by ### Lord, we pray for our law enforcement officers around the country. Protect them physically and mentally from all the evil they have to endure daily as they keep us safe. It’s not that law enforcement has changed for the worse but everything around it has. The mentally ill used to get treatment and now they just send cops. Kids used to be taught respect and now it’s cool to be disrespectful. Supervisors used to back you when you were right but now they accuse you of being wrong in order to appease crazy...
🤔 About Faith....
🙇Praying.... The Lord uphold our faith! As Jesus did for the father of that boy...may HE help us in our times of unbelief... amen. But we need to remember to ask (for help) & keep asking & then we will receive & then our joy will be full. Knock on the door and it shall be opened unto us Seek & then we will find.... Have a restful, wonderful weekend 💞
The word "change" can stir up many emotions in one's soul. Worry, anxiety, fear all start running through your mind when you even hear the word. But consider this, without change the world, our lives would be stagnant. The same thing, day after day, night after night. It would be the movie Ground Hog Day where we find Bill Murray reliving the same day over and over again. How boring would that be? Not all change is bad? It is all in how you look at it. Moving to a new home and having to go to a new school is often scary. You find yourself wondering if you will make new friends or like the neighbors. Getting married and moving in together is change, especially if you still live with your parents. The birth of your children is a huge...
Life changes all the time but this virus changed our existence the way Jesus wanted to change. Now we pray more than ever before. We can share with all our friends online Jesus, the center of all joy, peace and happiness. More time to read God's word and memorize the Psalms, the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes. More time with our family and pets. Change is a challenge full of opportunities to learn who we really are. Change is change of mind and of attitude toward death and eternity. Change has become a way of life. Change is to walk in the way of solitude and be close to the heart of the Lord. To seek Him day and night. To tell Him how much we love Him, praise Him and a time to adore His holy name. Change is...
I have no doubt that God can change us when we seek Him with our whole heart. Often times it is little by little but there can be times where He does something amazing and change us in an instant. We just need to ask God for help and allow Him to work in us and through us. We won't be perfect this side of Heaven but when we get up each morning and try our best to be more like Jesus things in our life can change. I am reading an amazing book called "Goliath Must Fall" by Louie Giglio. It is helpful in winning the battle against your giants such as fear, rejection, addiction, and anger. Louie says we need to fix our eyes on the size of your God, not the size of your giant. If you are struggling with any of these things, I encourage you...
There is a saying that I hear quoted a lot these days. It is something along the lines of, “Jesus is all we need.” I suggest if that were true, Jesus, after being declared “The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” by John The Baptist and coming out of the water would have simply said that and gone back to heaven immediately. That simply didn’t happen. What did happen was that after hearing the affirmation of The Father, “This is My Beloved Son with Whom I am well pleased,” The Spirit led Him directly into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil (Matt 4:1, Luke 4:1). In fact the very first Words recorded by Jesus after His ministry began were, “It is written.” Matthew 4:4. These were the first recorded Words of Jesus after...
I've heard some Christians say, "I was 'always saved', since I was born. I can't remember NOT being saved." But looking at it, the Bible states we're all descended from Adam, and Adam and Eve our first parents fell, and in their then fallen state passed it on to the rest of us. So if we're born in inherited sin, doesn't that contradict being "born saved?" {"The natural mind is enmity against God."} And the usual pattern is we're born into sin, then later accept the Lord, make our confession in the presence of others, say the sinners prayer, etc. {"Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."} Now unless a man {or woman} be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God, how can they be born AGAIN if they're ALREADY saved...
Death, failure, betrayal, sickness, disappointment, they cannot take our joy, because they can’t take our Jesus! Can death take our joy? No, Jesus is greater than death. Can failure take our joy? No, Jesus is greater than our sin. Can betrayal take our joy? No, Jesus will never leave us. Can sickness take our joy? No, God has promised, whether on this side of the grave or the other, to heal us. Can disappointment take our joy? No, because though our plans may not work out, we know God’s plan will. Death, failure, betrayal, sickness, disappointment. They cannot take our joy, because they cannot take our Jesus. Please underline this sentence: What you have in Christ is greater than anything you don’t have in life. You have a...
