The goodness and mercy of the Lord reaches us all when we give ourselves to Jesus and start serving Him and loving Him. God's goodness reaches also to sinners who come to Him. Changing them, helping them understand God's word and living a life that pleases the Lord. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, All the days of my life. And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. Amen The goodness of the Lord is more wonderful to see when He changes people's desires and wants to do evil and come to a place where they change and want to do good to everyone. Saving grace is a wonderful goodness of God.
Judged for praying on the streets. For years, the very first thing I've sought to do every morning, when I roll out of bed, is fall on my knees and pray. Among other things, I give thanks to God for the use of my limbs and the ability to kneel; some people aren't able. Like Jesus, having been chased out of the house and arrested in the garden by man, I am currently relegated to the streets, also by man; therefore, will I pray on the streets. Certainly, the devil thought that if he made me uncomfortable enough surely I would cut out all that praying, praising and shouting foolishness. Y'all know how I feel about the devil. Why on earth would I stop praying now? I PRAY ALL THE MORE Just another day in the life of an ensign. In the...
While I live... I will praise the Lord. From the bottom of my heart I shall sing glorious songs to Him. He is worthy of all glorious songs coming our from a grateful heart. We were delivered from sin and evil and now we are on our way to our eternal home in heaven. I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. Psalm 146.2 There is today. There is tomorrow. This is the time to praise the Lord. He has done wonderful things for you and for me. There is life. God has given to us. To sing praise to Him. Hallelujah, for the Lord our God reigns. Holy art thou o Lord God almighty. I shall forever honor, praise and glorify Your holy name. Amen It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Your name...
Today, a kind of “fencing” is very important to prevent the youth from going astray. What is the need of this fencing? We need to build a fence against the following: - The attitude that money can buy anything and everything. - The lustful attractions of the world. - Alcohol and drugs. - Unhealthy friendships. - Abusing God. - Harming the fellow beings. - Worldly or Carnal pleasures. - Corruption and Partiality. - Using spirituality for material benefits. Materialistic view of life has seriously influenced human attitudes. “What benefit will I have from this?” has become the guiding principle behind every activity. People are ruled by the Hedonic Principle “eat, drink and be merry”. This thought process also is a reason for the...
So much to say, so little time as we walkthrough this world, though bumpy at times when we reach the end of our journey and see the glorious light of God's love and ask to take us home and with the swiftness of his hand he will lift us up then we can say I'm finally home Lord. May we all be lifted at the end of our journey. Jesus, Amen.
She loved the Lord. She was ready to come to Him in worship, in adoration, in praise because she heard and loved what she saw. Then, this is what happened. S### brought a jar of perfume and stood behind Jesus crying. She began to wash His feet with her tears and dry them with her hair and rub them with perfume. Luke 7:39 Gratitude and love for Jesus should come out from a thankful heart. What a beautiful example of love to the Lord Jesus. He cast out seven out of her and now she came to thank Him the way she wanted to.
Christmas - A Time of Renewed Hope
```markdown Christmas is a special time. It is a family celebration. Other holidays are different. Good Friday and Easter are usually celebrated in church. National days are honored with speeches, parades and the ceremonies of government. But Christmas is glorified in the home because it is the celebration of a birthday. Yet there is irony in the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. He was born away from home, on a journey that symbolized the restless and the wandering nature of the world into which He came. He was born in the insecurity of a barn, a symbol of the fact that during His public ministry, He would have very little home life. He roamed the roads and towns of ancient Palestine. He died, taking the ordeal of the cross...
When playing chess, one first contemplates a strategy and then follows through with a move. It is our responsibility to take our very own action. The chess-pieces will not move on their own. Sometime we make a good move, other times not so good. Many Christians are frozen into place just waiting to hear from God, while it is God that is in fact waiting for them to move. How long do we remain imobile thinking God has not given us any direction? When do we commit to faith and manifest God's works? Isn't faith taking action on the things we hoped for? Martin Luther King Jr said: Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things...
