No Other Gods—Exodus 32 Exodus 20:3: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. While we may not bow down to a golden calf, the temptation to idolatry is very much alive in our day and world! Do we serve the three Ps—personal freedom, political power, and prosperity—or the Lord? Let Us Pray: God I ask You in Jesus’ name, “Search me, God, and know my heart...” (Psalm 139:23). God show me what I value too much and convict me of any idolatry. God train my heart to worship and desire You above all things, people, and places. Bless me to love what You love and hate what You hate. God please do the same for every member of my family, all my friends, each and every member of my church, and this prayer site. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
How important is forgiveness to your salvation? Forgive or the Father will not forgive. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." - Matthew 6:14-15 - And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. - Mark 11:25 - Break one law you break them all. (This would also includes unforgiveness) 9. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. 10. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. - James 2:9-10 -...
Holy God we praise Thy name. Lord of all, we bow before You. All on earth Your scepter claim, All in heaven above adore You. Infinity Your vast domain, Everlasting is Your reign. A heart of gold God has given to all of us. Full of love, mercy and compassion. Smiling faces so happy to see, Jesus lives in their heart and makes their soul rejoice in Him. Two shining eyes see everything, our needs are met and the blessings of the Lord falls on those who seek Him above all things on earth. God did not break our hearts, we are rejoicing Him alone. We are following Him all the way to heaven. Continue to live in the holy presence of Jesus. He delights in the praises of His people. Rejoice in the Lord always. I say, rejoice...
Our dear Lord is our shelter and our strength. When our weak body or mind are felt, then we call on the Lord to give us strength to continue on serving and loving Jesus. In Him alone we find deep joy, peace and happiness. The world will mock and ignore all the wonderful promises God has given us. But we believe, we trust and wait for Him. Day and night, He is the Comfort of our troubled souls. Without Him we have no life at all. When we are tired and confused, He gives us strength and puts us in the right path that leads to heaven. Our path may be wrong. Maybe we lost our way. We are full of fear and trembling. Our heart is falling apart. Then Jesus comes along. His hands of mercy stretching toward us. Come my son, Come...
You know the saying goes: "If you don't have anything good to say; don't say anything at all." That saying, though not verbatim, is somewhat, backed up scripturally: Philippians 4:6. Except in being led by the Holy Spirit in assignment, for the most part, I try to adhere to that little golden nugget. It just seems that lately when something praiseworthy happens in my midst, it involves out-of-towners. Case and point, a few weeks ago I had a random conversation with a rather distraught Green Bay Packers fan. During our talk the subject of Houston's homeless population arose, well because it was kinda right there in our faces, at which point I told him that I too was homeless. At first he had trouble believing me; but as the...
Jesus want us all saved and be on our way to heaven. He desires all of us to have peace, joy and happiness in our life as we serve Him wherever we are. He does not want anyone to end up in hells burning fire. Politics will not save you, riches of earth will not turn things around, only Jesus can do wonders for us when we start loving Him with all our heart, mind and soul. Hallelujah, praise the Lord. His word is true and we are on our way to our glorious home in heaven. Unless love of God be pure in your heart, You will not be able to reach Him. Unless love be pure in your heart, You and I could not enter heaven. Only those who seek the Lord, With a pure heart will enter His glorious presence. Jesus expect us to be faithful and true...
Jesus did not have a home to live in. He had no bank account. He owned no car, truck, airplane, or anything else that will tie in with earth's possessions. He said, "Love not the world, if you love the world the love of the Father is not in you." In our Sunday School lessons we saw clearly how the young Rich Man came to Jesus and said, "What can I do to be saved?" Jesus said, "Sell everything and give it all to the poor and then you will have riches in glory." The young man was so sad. His riches would not let him enter the glorious presence of Jesus. Seek the Lord and then you will find riches of glory.
Glorious Sabbath Day people of God! I can't believe I'm still hearing such nonsensical rhetoric; and this, quite often from people of God. Certainly it couldn’t just an excuse not to help someone they don't fancy. I may have to wear the same outfit a couple days in a row, but what would I look like, as a Christian, even in my homelessness, when Gid has the audacity to keep on waking me up every morning, not to take care to present His temple to the best of my ability? Let me stop before I start to sound too preachy. I'm just going to say that what they mean is "I don't look like what I've been through." HE'S STILL GOOD BECAUSE HE'S STILL GOD THANK YOU JESUS ♥️ . .
