Christmas - A Time of Renewed Hope
```markdown Christmas is a special time. It is a family celebration. Other holidays are different. Good Friday and Easter are usually celebrated in church. National days are honored with speeches, parades and the ceremonies of government. But Christmas is glorified in the home because it is the celebration of a birthday. Yet there is irony in the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. He was born away from home, on a journey that symbolized the restless and the wandering nature of the world into which He came. He was born in the insecurity of a barn, a symbol of the fact that during His public ministry, He would have very little home life. He roamed the roads and towns of ancient Palestine. He died, taking the ordeal of the cross...
When playing chess, one first contemplates a strategy and then follows through with a move. It is our responsibility to take our very own action. The chess-pieces will not move on their own. Sometime we make a good move, other times not so good. Many Christians are frozen into place just waiting to hear from God, while it is God that is in fact waiting for them to move. How long do we remain imobile thinking God has not given us any direction? When do we commit to faith and manifest God's works? Isn't faith taking action on the things we hoped for? Martin Luther King Jr said: Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things...
And His Name Shall Be Called
And His Name Shall Be Called by ### For such an aggressively godless culture, we still tend to hear the name Jesus Christ with surprising frequency. It’s tragic that the world has turned the Lord’s name into a blasphemous exclamation, but it should not surprise us. Satan can’t erase the truth about Christ, but he will happily settle for turning the Savior’s life into a myth and His name into an expletive. When was the last time you considered what it meant for God to name His Son Jesus Christ? With the celebration of the Savior’s birth just around the corner, let’s consider the meaning of the name His Father gave Him. “She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” - Matthew 1:21...
Good Morning People of God! Isaiah 52:8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes. Ooowee! GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST!!! I feel like shouting right now. When I said God had left the building, I came under immense rebuke and outrage from religious sect. How dare I speak such foolishness, "The LORD will never leave nor forsake us," they scorned. Yet, how can God return to Zion (The Church), if He never left? He left because of all the sinfulness being done in His name, in His house. As it is written: "A reformed woman (The Church) shall encompass a man (A Righteous God). God cannot dwell in an unrighteous house. This is what's...
On my fading day I will seek someone dear to me, someone I can trust, someone who I can count on when no one understands what I need. The emptiness of our souls and the hunger to be fed by words that comes from heaven turns our soul to God almighty. Fill me till I want no more. Make me as Thou art. The soul of men and women longs to feel and hear heavenly words that will touch the depths of our soul. You are all I want. You are all I need. Help me to know You are near. Draw me close to You. Never let me go. To hear that You are my Friend. You are my desire. No one else will do. Because no one else can take your place. To feel the warmth of Your embrace. Help me find the way. Bring me back to You. My heart longs to hold the Hands of...
Sometimes we underestimate the power of touch, a smile, a kind word, a loving heart, a listening ear, an honest compliment, the smallest act of kindness will touch our heart just as Jesus did while healing and helping those who came to Him. The touch of the Master will change everything in our life. Something will happen to us and we will know that Jesus has come and touched us and moved our hearts to love Him more than ever before. Since I met this blessed Savior. Since He's cleansed and made me whole, Oh, I will never cease to praise Him, I will shout it while eternity rolls. He touched me, And oh the joy that floods my soul, Something happened and know I know, He touched me and made me whole. Jesus is telling us today. I have...
```html Something To Consider God's sense of humor never ceases to amaze me. While neither He nor I laugh at anyone's suffering nor loss of life, as I endure mocking, ridicule, insults and them that travel far and wide just to turn their backs on me, rather than to simply restore me, the irony is that they all do so with masks on. Even if the nation were to mandate removal all masks tomorrow, you have to admit that, indeed God's Word came to pass; as it always will, lest He be a liar. God will not be a liar for you, me, nor anyone else. To even insinuate that He is a liar is the ultimate insult: For such is to call Him the devil. We must take God at His Word at all times; even when we don't like the message or messenger. We must...
When God Blesses Those You Don’t Like
In Matthew 5:45, Jesus said that our Father in heaven “makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Luke 6:35b-36: For God is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. A Time to Pray: God I ask You in Jesus’ name, remind me, all my family members, and friends of Your love, concern, affection, grace, and mercy for those we dislike, despise, have jealousy for, envious of, or can’t stand, for whatever reason. God search our hearts and deal with each of our thoughts, actions, and mouths. Work on us. Teach us to worship You as we show mercy, grace, and love through our care for and dealing with others. Thank You Jesus. Amen. Encourager...
I need songs of praise to Jesus that would flow through my soul and make me so happy and joyful in the Lord. Over my fretful heart and my disbelief, I put my trust in God who gave us a song in the day as well as in the night. I shall forever sing to Him over my trembling lips who will open up to lift praises to Him who made us all in His own image. With melody deep from my heart. I shall rise up and lift up my soul. To Him who alone is worthy of all glory. Sing a song of the saints above. Love Him, praise Him. Adore Him. All the days of your life. Amen
