Lord Fill My Cup
John 4:13-15: Jesus answered and said to her, “…but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.” Prayer Focus: God I ask You in Jesus' name bless me to be a light, an encourager, and compass to help Your children find their way back home to You. God so many of Your children are slipping back into the world or have backslidden and they don't even realize it. Help me help them. I can't pour from an empty cup or give what I don't have. Fill my cup, O Lord. Pour into me so that I can pour into those You send me...
Heavenly Father, in your wisdom you have called certain women and men to a life of special consecration so that in prayerful obedience of a lifestyle of poverty, chaste celibacy and obedience, they might be witnesses to us that as St Paul says, "their true citizenship is in heaven. Give them, Lord, the grace of joy and perseverance in their holy vocation we ask this through Christ, our Lord..... From: ###
The same was accused of ### The Baptist and Jesus. ###, what with his relentless screaming from the wilderness about REPENTANCE: And then there was Jesus shouting and overturning tables in the temple. Lack of self-control, as many, including myself, are accused who sound the trumpet according to God’s instructions of Isaiah 58:1, is not defined as one who lifts their voice and shouts loudly in public places, telling others about their sins - That's actually the correct way to honor God. The text below outlines for us the lack of self-control that dishonors God, with the very first being adultery/sexual immorality; but nobody wants to hear that. [Ezekiel 2:3-8] Galatians 5:18-21 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under...
The act of being resilient is a call to action to sustain one's will to overcome any challenges before him/her. It keeps coming back at the proverbial mountain until it's conquered. This call to action is formidable when deeply rooted in Christ. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 3:13 -14 - As Christians we are to be relentless in Christ. Unshakable by what we see around us but ready to move with the Holy Spirit to subdue what's before us. It's our call to duty. It may be tough, disconcerting, and beyond our comfort zone. But we...
The most precious time we spend in life when we are so alone, so forsaken, so disturbed, it is to take a time to praise the name of the Lord Jesus. Wherever you are, stop what you are doing and just start singing praises to Him. For sure, our dear Lord delights in the praises of His people. Jesus, I love You, I praise you, I adore You. Glorify Thy name in all the earth. Glorify Thy name in all the earth. Let us all memorize this wonderful verse. It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Your name o most High. To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness every night. Psalm 92,1,2
👏A Friend Sent Me This. I just added more words to the prayer. Scripture: Isaiah 40:31: Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and will not be faint. I was visiting with a Doctor yesterday that is a member of our devotional group. He has his staff test all incoming patients in the parking lot for COVID prior to allowing them into the office for treatment. Yesterday two of the patients that arrived tested positive for COVID. Learning this, they became angry and abusive to the nurses doing the testing. He said that a lot of normally good behaving people become impatient and grumpy when trying to help them. It is easy for us to live...
Once we have found Christ as our Savior, Lord and faithful Friends, then we should rejoice in Him alone, knowing that He is leading our steps towards God's holy presence. Here, in the stillness of our life, let us look to Jesus and wait for Him, day and night call on Him. When are You coming to take us to Your glorious presence? I let all my burdens drop down on the ground and I have given up taking and carrying on my back. Falling as dust without form, all my sorrow and my pain were given to Jesus and He took everything away from me. Glorious things happen to those who start loving Jesus with all their heart, mind and soul. So, let us all sing this beautiful song. Rejoice ye pure in heart, Rejoice, give thanks and sing. Your...
This sound is coming out from heaven and we must stop anything we are doing and hear what the angels of heaven are telling us. Day and night they never stop saying. Holy is the Lord God almighty, who was and is and is to come. You are worthy our lord and God to receive, glory, honor and power for You have created all things. Rev. 4.8 Dear Lord, You are so beutiful to all of us who love You. Your face is always what I seek, wherever I am, whatever I am doing I shall raise my voice to You in adoration, in praise and worship. For when you eyes are on this child Your grace abounds to me. You are so wonderful to those who sing praises to Your name. You shine our path with Your holy presence. Jesus, what wonderful Savior and...
