Jeremiah describes a Pagan Custom very similar to Christmas In the following passage, Jeremiah describes a pagan custom that is very similar to Christmas in terms of its customs. Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. (Jeremiah 10:2-4) In other words, decorating Christmas trees is pagan and not biblical. Christmas is a Pagan Holiday The winter solstice is and was one of the most celebrated holidays for...
The real Christmas story is the story of God’s becoming a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ. Why did God do such a thing? Because He loves us! Why was Christmas necessary? Because we needed a Savior! Why does God love us so much? Because He is love itself (1 John 4:8). Why do we celebrate Christmas each year? Out of gratitude for what God did for us, we remember His birth by giving each other gifts, worshiping Him, and being especially conscious of the poor and less fortunate. The true meaning of Christmas is love. God loved His own and provided a way—the only Way—for us to spend eternity with Him. He gave His only Son to take our punishment for our sins. He paid the price in full, and we are free from condemnation when we...
I shall forever honor, praise and glorify Your holy name. You are doing great things to those who believe and trust your name. Our dear Lord is the greatest God we have ever known. He knows everything. He foreknows the future. He brought us here to earth. To be a light in a dark world. To love Him with all we have. To praise and honor Him. To glorify His holy name. Now and forever more. All glory, all honor and all praise shall be unto the Lord our God. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
Pleasing and serving God is the only way the Lord will touch our heart. Forgiveness of sin and living a holy a pure life in sight is another way to have the holy presence of Jesus living in our heart and home. The motive we have on earth in doing anything at all, it should be to please Him above all things. Up we go to see Him. The smiling face of the Lord. He want us all with Him. Never stop loving Him. Serve and adore His name. Wherever you are. The touch of heavenly hand. Shall come to all of us. In the presence of the Lord there is fullness of joy. Amen
Someone pointed this scripture out to me last week, and it was also in my scripture of the day app (no coincidences). It's actually one of my favorite scriptures: There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God. (Ecclesiastes 2:24, KJV) Enjoying the fruits of our labor is a good thing, but it's not all there is to life; particularly life in the Spirit. People get themselves into so much trouble with buffet bible. Even referencing this passage, if we'll simply back up a few verses, we can begin to understand the context in which Solomon was speaking. Then I looked on all the works that my hands had...

Peaceful spirit in the middle of trouble. Sufferings may come. Emptiness shall arrive. Jesus will take them away. Inner peace will feel our soul. A calm and quiet spirit. Smiling with confidence. Our hearts rejoice in Thy presence o Lord, when we enter into Your holy place we feel heaven coming down to earth. It is available all year long to those who seek Thy face, early in the morning lifting their voice to Jesus in praise, adoration and worship. O years and age that pass away. Behold we go away. To be with Him. Who called us unto Himself. With joy in our hearts. We shall bring a gift. A gift of praise to Your holy name. Infnity to dwell with Him. Who has chosen us. From the begining of the earth. We were called to Himself. An our eyes shall see. The glorious presence of His love. Reaching to all. Who come to Him. Whoever offers praise, glorifies Me, and to him who orders his conduct aright, will show the salvation of...
I have tried to put my security and trust in things of this earth. People failed me, things turned out to be wrong and I was broke. I did know what to do. I struggled so hard to find the truth and the truth that will make me free. Then I found Jesus on my way to work. Jesus only way to heaven, read a sign on the road. Is this true? Are they sure they are right? Yes, they were. My confidence is only in Him. To be strong in His promises. Nothing can disturb the peace of mind. He spoke to me. Happiness, health and peace. There is something that stick in me. To look the sunny side of everything. It makes my optimism come true. It Jesus that speaks to my heart. Makes my life to live for Him. Without Me, you can do nothing...
Bible in a Year : Micah 4–5,Revelation 12 Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God. Psalm 42:11 My mother’s shiny red cross should have been hanging next to her bed at the cancer care centre. And I should have been preparing for holiday visits between her scheduled treatments. All I wanted for Christmas was another day with my mum. Instead, I was home . . . hanging her cross on a fake tree. When my son Xavier plugged in the lights, I whispered, “Thank You.” He said, “You’re welcome.” My son didn’t know I was thanking God for using the flickering bulbs to turn my eyes towards the ever-enduring Light of Hope—Jesus. The writer of Psalm 42 expressed his raw emotions to God (vv. 1–4). He acknowledged his...
You are the Lamb upon the throne and unto You we lift our voice in praise, wonderful Savior and wonderful Lord. We are so grateful You came to this world to save sinners and to cleanse from all evil, opening the gates of heaven for us to enter in. We bow down before Your holy throne and adore Your holy name. For the Lamb at the center of throne will be their sheperd. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Revelation 7.17 The Lamb of God is alive and well and he want us all to draw close to Him so He will come to us and bless us. Remember that when all hope of life eternal in glory was gone for us, our Father in heaven provided for us a Lamb of God who will suffer and shed His precious Blood to save us from sin and...
