Glorious Sabbath Day People of God: Though this message is customized for ###, it can certainly pertain to any city in the aftermath of disaster. God never promised that because you do good, you would not suffer, quite the opposite. Job was righteous in God’s sight, yet God chose to test him through suffering. Howbeit, in our suffering, we must let no one entice us into foolish and unnecessary things, such as pagan rituals. It doesn't matter what colors you display. In fact God ponders why a city would choose to do that; likening such behavior to prostitution and adultery: Jeremiah 4:30 (CSB) And you devastated one, what are you doing that you dress yourself in scarlet, that you adorn yourself with gold jewelry, that you enlarge...
1 John 2 verse 1 2 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. Jesus Christ be my advocate with the Father, ask Him first. He will not be your advocate unless you ask Him. Ok? You have to ask Him first. You are the one to initiate now, ok?
Why does the Lord love a cheerful giver? One reason is that He is a cheerful giver. We tend to love more those who are like us. God loves cheerful givers because He is a cheerful giver. In love, our heavenly Father willingly gave His son, Jesus Christ, as payment for our sins. The greatest gift ever given was from our generous God. Before we were born, our Lord knew what we needed, so He provided without us asking because He is a loving and gracious Father. Cheerful givers anticipate needs and offer assistance before another feels the need to ask. Our Lord is a cheerful giver of comfort as He makes our sick bed with compassionate care. Ever present reminds us of His healing presence, and our Creator’s tender touch gives wisdom to...
Glorious Sabbath Day People of God I usually try to preserve the Sabbath for adoration only, but I was so excited about this that just couldn't help myself. One of the most satisfyingly fun parts of my assignment is that I sometimes get to announce, in advance, the city that God has spoken in my hearing for exaltation and reward. It's fun because even though it's neither because of me nor for me, God, knowing how in awe I am of Him, and how excited I get about every little thing that He does, called me to it, just to give Him glory in it. I LOVE THIS PART. All God requires is that the city believe, receive, and honor. It seems like I have been waiting forever for this city's name to be called. Though God spoke it in my hearing early...
Whenever God issues a word of warning through His prophets it us oftentimes directed toward His cities and nations. Just because people are prospering at a given time does not mean that the prophet has erred in assignment. Prophecy is never about the present, that's called reporting; prophecy is ALWAYS about the future - whether two months, two years, etc. - it's about the future. I prophesied "flood" to this city for over a year, and seven months after having left this city, that prophecy was manifested, just as God had warned. All God requires is that we "Despise not the prophecies." He requires this because His warnings can seem harsh and He knows that man is prone to embrace the false prophecies of "peace," when He has not sent...
