Father, thank You for being both serious and merciful! When Sarah laughed at Your Promise, asking Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I actually give birth to a child, when I am so old?’ 14 Is anything too difficult for the LORD? (מֵיְהוָ֖ה Yah·weh)?" Gen 18:13-14. Thank You for the honesty of Moses in recording both Sarah's AS WELL AS his own doubt, "But Moses replied, 'Here I am among 600,000 men on foot, yet You say, "I will give them meat, and they will eat for a month." 22 If all our flocks and herds were slaughtered for them, would they have enough? Or if all the fish in the sea were caught for them, would they have enough?” 23 "The LORD answered Moses, 'Is the LORD’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not My word will come to pass,'” Numbers 11:21-22. You bore witness to this POWER YOU ALONE POSSESS -- To Isaiah, "Behold, the LORD’S hand is not so short that it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear," Isaiah 59:1, nor do You stop there! You reiterate the same FACT to Jeremiah, as He expresses the crazy confidence he has in YOU, and You two have a moment the recorded as well, "And You have said to me, O Lord YHWH, ‘Buy for yourself the field with silver, to testify and cause witnesses— even though the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans!’” 26 "And the word of YHWH came to Jeremiah, saying: 'Behold, I AM YHWH, the God of all flesh. Is anything too difficult for Me? Jer 32:25-27...

LORD, You've convinced me. Forgive me for doubting. You CERTAINLY know how to reach my wife -- We've been asking for Your mercy and kindness to lead her to repentance, Rom 2:4 -- we've been praying You'd convict her of righteousness, sin and judgement to come, John 16:8 -- we've been praying You hedge her way with thorns, Hos 2:6-7 -- we've been praying You'd use her church and family, Matt 18:15-18 -- we've been praying You give her visions, dreams, prophecies, Joel 2:28-32, preaching, friends, evangelists... For 2 yrs 8 mo... Jesus, we are weary and heavy laden, let us take Your yoke upon ourselves and learn from You, for You are gentle and humble in heart, and we rneed rest for our souls, Matt 11:28-30, as we cast ALL our cares upon You, The LORD, for. You care for us, 1 peter 5:7. Have mercy on us, forgive us for we all doubt at times, guide her, my son, her family, church and US, and turn her from darkness to light, from the power of shatan to God, Acts 26:18-20, for 'Nothing is TOO DIFFICULT for YOU! Thank You in Jesus' Name, Phil 4:6-7.

We join you in this confession of faith and in this burden you have carried for your wife for two years and eight months, and we thank God with you that nothing is too difficult for Him.

You have prayed so biblically and so faithfully, and we are encouraged by how you have anchored your prayers in the Word. Is anything too difficult for the LORD Gen 18:14, Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me Jer 32:27, Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it can't save; nor his ear heavy, that it can't hear Isa 59:1 and Is the LORD's hand waxed short Num 11:23. We love that you remember both Sarah's laughter and Moses' doubt, for our God is both serious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and He records the weakness of His servants to show His strength is perfected in weakness.

We hear your weariness and we lift it with you to the Lord. You have prayed that His kindness would lead her to repentance Rom 2:4, that the Holy Spirit would convict her concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment John 16:8, that He would hedge up her way with thorns, and make a wall against her, that she shall not find her paths Hos 2:6, that He would use her church and family in the gracious process of restoration Matt 18:15-17, and that He would pour out visions and dreams and use preaching and witnesses Joel 2:28. These are all according to His will, and we continue to agree with you for them.

We also pray with you for your marriage, for we believe marriage is a covenant before God between one man and one woman for life, what therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart Matt 19:6. We pray that God will guard and restore your marriage and that both you and your wife will honor it as holy, for the marriage bed is to be kept undefiled Heb 13:4. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it Eph 5:25, and we encourage you to continue to walk in that faithful, patient, forgiving love even in this long night, not returning evil for evil but committing your way to Him who judges righteously.

We confess with you that we all doubt at times, and we thank God that He forgives doubt when we bring it to Him and that He invites the weary to Himself. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light Matt 11:28-30. We cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Pet 5:7 and we know He hears us when we pray in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and no other way to the Father except through Him John 14:6. We thank you that you have prayed in Jesus' name, and we join our faith to yours in that same precious name.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace together for this husband, for his wife, for their son, and for both families and her church. Lord, You are the God of all flesh and nothing is too difficult for You. Forgive us for the times we have doubted Your power or Your timing, and increase our faith. We ask that You would do what only You can do and turn her from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that she may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Christ Acts 26:18. Grant her godly sorrow that leads to repentance, open her eyes to see her sin and Your righteousness and the judgment to come, and let Your goodness lead her to return to You and to her marriage covenant.

Hedge her way with thorns where she would stray, and close the paths that lead away from You, so that she will seek You and find You when she searches with all her heart. Use her family, her church, and every faithful witness You send, give her dreams and words and preaching that will not let her rest until she repents. Protect this husband and his son from bitterness and exhaustion, teach them to take Your yoke and to learn from You, and give them rest for their souls. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus with the peace that surpasses all understanding Phil 4:7.

We ask that You would not let this long waiting be in vain, but that You would strengthen this husband to wait for the LORD and be strong and let his heart take courage Psalm 27:14, trusting that Your word will not return void but will accomplish what You please Isa 55:11. Bring reconciliation where there has been division, healing where there has been wounding, and keep this family under the shadow of Your hand which is not too short to save. We ask all this according to Your will and for Your glory, in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Be encouraged, brother, to continue steadfast in prayer without ceasing, in thanksgiving Phil 4:6, knowing that the Lord hears, that He is patient not wanting anyone to perish but for all to come to repentance 2 Pet 3:9, and that He who promised is faithful. We will keep standing with you until God answers in His perfect way and time.

We have been reading your prayer and we hear how heavy these two years and eight months have been. Loving your wife and your son while praying without seeing change is exhausting, and we are grateful for your honesty about both confidence and doubt. He is not put off by that honesty.

What stays with us is your persistence, turning to Him again and again and asking Him to work in ways only He can, through kindness, conviction, and people around her. That faithfulness matters even when answers feel slow. In seasons like this we have seen God do two things at once. He works in the one we love in ways we cannot see or control, and He invites us to find rest for our own souls as we keep casting our cares on Him. Weariness does not mean you have failed.

It may help to keep a simple sustainable rhythm. Continue bringing your wife and family before the Lord each day, and let a trusted pastor or a couple of faithful friends know how tired you are so you are not carrying this alone. Keep shepherding your son and guarding your own time with the Lord, learning His gentle yoke day by day.

Father, we lift this husband, his wife and their son to You. You see this family and love them. Draw his wife from darkness to light as only You can, and give this husband and his son rest, wisdom and peace as they wait on You. Guide their steps and keep them near You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has risen as a fragrant incense before the throne, and it is right that you should ask, Is anything too difficult for the LORD. The answer stands fast from Genesis to Jeremiah, No, nothing is too hard for Him. His hand is not shortened that it cannot save, nor is His ear heavy that it cannot hear. Sarah laughed and Moses questioned and Jeremiah wondered at the field bought while the Chaldeans besieged the city, yet the Lord answered each, Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh, is anything too difficult for Me. He is both serious and merciful, and He has heard your two years and eight months of crying for mercy.

You are weary and heavy laden, and you do well to come to Christ with that weariness, to take His yoke and learn of Him who is gentle and lowly in heart, and to cast all your care upon Him for He cares for you. He gives rest to the soul not by removing the burden of prayer but by bearing it with you, and His peace which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus as you make your requests known unto God.

And what you ask is the very thing God delights to give, that your wife should be turned from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God. Yet let us remember what true repentance is, for there are many false forms of it. There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh, a trembling and a complacency toward the Word which yet never becomes repentance unto life. True repentance is not a mere sorrow that soon passes away, but it is a repentance which yields works meet for repentance, a practical repentance which lasts and which gives God glory. It makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the love of Christ and His finished work.

Faith and repentance are inseparable. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant and the faith that admits Christ to be sole master of the heart go together. A repentance which makes us weep and abhor our past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and which makes us avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for us, this is saving repentance. And this repentance is not worked by our own power. It is preached in the name of Jesus because it is the gift of God in His name. He is exalted on high to give repentance and remission of sins. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness.

Repentance also lives as long as faith lives. It is not an operation to be gotten through at the beginning and then forgotten. Sweet sister repentance is charming company and abides with us, keeping the heart tender and holy. And the perseverance which God promises is a perseverance in holiness. They shall not depart from Me, saith the Lord. If grace has truly changed the heart, it changes it radically and lastingly.

Therefore we will join you in praying according to the Scriptures you have set before the Lord. That He would in His kindness lead her to repentance, that He would convict her of sin and of righteousness and of judgment to come by His Spirit, that He would hedge her way with thorns where she would wander, that He would use the faithful ministry of His Word and the loving admonition of family and church to restore her, and that He would grant her that true repentance unto life which looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only. We ask not that God would bless any path contrary to His holy covenant, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all intimacy belongs within it, but that He would bless her with salvation through Jesus Christ alone, with a clean heart and a right spirit renewed within her.

Continue to pray and do not faint. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance, and what He has begun He will perform until the day of Christ. He who has taught you to pray will keep you praying, and He who is able to keep your wife will do so in His own perfect time and way. Cast your burden on the Lord, continue steadfast in His Word, and look for that practical, lasting, God glorifying repentance which is the sure sign of His gracious work.

Your prayer has been received and we join you in taking it before the Lord who hears and who is able to save. You have prayed for two years and eight months and you are weary, and it is right to bring that weariness to Jesus who said to come to Him when heavy laden and to learn from Him who is gentle and humble in heart, and to cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you.

You are right to answer your own doubt with the word of God. Is anything too difficult for the Lord. The question was asked when Sarah laughed, and again when Moses doubted how meat could be provided, and again when Jeremiah was told to buy a field even as the city was given to the Chaldeans. In each place the Lord answered that His arm is not too short to save and His ear is not dull that it cannot hear. What He has promised He is able to perform, and we agree with you that He is both serious and merciful, and that His kindness is meant to lead to repentance.

We join you in praying as you have prayed, that God in His mercy would convict of sin and of righteousness and of judgment to come, that His kindness would lead to repentance, that He would hedge the way with thorns where the path leads away from Him so that the soul must consider where it is going, and that He would use preaching, the Scriptures, family and the church speaking the truth in love, and every lawful means to turn her from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that she may receive forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other name.

We pray this with a clear understanding of what God has ordained. Marriage is a bond ordained of God, and it is honorable. Holiness in this area is chaste and orderly living in marriage, keeping the covenant pure and not permitting union with another. Marriage itself preserves the holiness which comes by faith, by guarding against defilement. For this reason we do not ask God to bless any relationship or way of living that departs from this design, whether it be unfaithfulness, living together outside of marriage, or any other union contrary to the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. Instead we ask God to bless repentance and holiness, to make the heart pure, and to restore what is broken in a way that honors Him.

Scripture also teaches us to examine what repentance is. Esau sought the blessing with tears yet found no place of repentance because his sorrow was not true turning from sin, as his later intent to kill his brother showed. True repentance is not only sorrow but a real turning to God that bears fruit. So we pray for your wife not only for tears or for religious experience, but for a true turning of heart that forsakes sin and clings to Christ, and for visions and dreams and words only insofar as they agree with and point to the written word of God.

For you, we pray for rest and steadiness in this long waiting. You are bound to your wife, and the word says if you are bound to a wife do not seek to be loosed. Remain faithful, follow peace with all men and holiness, keep your own life pure and your home ordered before the Lord, and continue in prayer without ceasing. God sees your son and your family and your church, and we ask Him to guide them as well, to give them wisdom to speak and to love with both grace and truth, and to guard your own soul from discouragement.

May the God of all flesh, for whom nothing is too difficult, grant you His peace that passes understanding as you make your requests known to Him. We ask Him to work in your wife to bring her to repentance and faith in Jesus, to restore her to Himself first and then, in His mercy, to restore the marriage covenant in purity and honor, to give you rest for your souls as you take His yoke, and to keep you all walking in His ways.
