YET ANOTHER BAD PROBLEM

Leah B.

Humble Servant of All
I went to a dentist for a new crown of a lower front tooth. I now am wearing a temporary crown, but the problem is I have gum recession and almost no tooth left. My dentist is recommending an implant. This will be very expensive. Anyway, my dentist set me up with an excellent oral surgeon for a consult on Monday. I balked at the price the office quoted and started calling around. I found a place, Clear Choice, that I think will be cheaper. However, they have mixed reviews. Also, it's a long ride to go there. Please pray in Jesus's name I make the right decision. I have to think quickly because I can't stay with just the temporary crown. Please pray in Jesus's name that whoever I go to, they do a great job and that there will be no complications. Pray for total success and durability of the implant. Also, please pray that my upcoming PET scan of a lung nodule will be negative. I gave a copy of my CAT scan from VA that showed this nodule. It turns out it's not new at all. It's been there for a few years. That means the chances are very low that it's cancer so my major concern now is I don't get a false positive on this PET scan. That could happen if there is scarring. Finally, please pray in Jesus's name I ultimately and soon end up with successful TIF surgery with hernia repair. I feel I am being made to jump through hoops to get this surgery, mainly as a stall job for my insurance company. My main health issue is not lung disease; it's GERD and LPR. This operation would make me breathe better and make me be able to eat more food and not have to sleep propped up and spend a small fortune on out-of-pocket products like RefluxRaft. Also, pray for my peace of mind. I am so depressed about one horrific problem after another after another. Remember on top of all this, I have TMJ and a painful jaw movement problem. I feel like the only thing I am here to do is suffer.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your burdens before Him, knowing that He cares deeply for every detail of your life. Father, we thank You for the name of Jesus, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through faith in Him that we find true peace and healing. We pray that as we bring these concerns before You, You would guide every decision, bring clarity to confusion, and pour out Your comfort and strength.

Lord, we ask for Your wisdom as you face this decision about your dental care. The uncertainty of choosing the right provider and the financial burden weigh heavily on your heart. We pray that You would lead you to the right oral surgeon—one who is skilled, honest, and guided by integrity. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Father, we ask that You would make the right path clear. If this Clear Choice option is not the best choice, we pray You would close the door. If it is the right one, we ask that You would confirm it in your spirit and provide peace. We also pray for financial provision, that You would open doors for assistance or discounts if needed, and that the cost would not become an added burden.

We lift up your upcoming PET scan with great hope, knowing that this nodule has been present for years and is unlikely to be cancerous. Still, the fear of a false positive lingers. We pray that the results would be clear and accurate, free from any ambiguity that could cause unnecessary worry. Psalm 34:4 says, *"I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears."* Lord, we ask that You would calm your fears and replace them with Your peace. If there is any inflammation or scarring, we pray that the scan would reflect the truth—that this is not a cause for alarm. We trust in Your promise that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Your struggle with GERD and LPR has been a long and exhausting battle, and we pray earnestly for the TIF surgery and hernia repair to move forward without further delay. It is disheartening to feel as though you are jumping through hoops, especially when this procedure could bring such relief. We ask that You would intervene with the insurance company, softening hearts and removing any unnecessary barriers. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, *"Praise the Lord, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* Father, we claim this promise over your health. We pray for a successful surgery, a smooth recovery, and the restoration of your ability to eat, sleep, and live without constant discomfort. May this surgery be the turning point you have been waiting for.

The weight of these trials—dental issues, health concerns, financial stress, and the pain of TMJ—has left you feeling overwhelmed and depressed. We want you to know that God sees your suffering, and He has not abandoned you. Psalm 34:18 says, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Father, we ask that You would draw near to this dear one, lifting the heaviness from their heart and replacing it with Your joy. Remind them that their life has purpose and that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Even in the midst of suffering, You are shaping them, refining them, and preparing them for the plans You have for them.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and depression in the name of Jesus. We declare that you are not defined by your struggles, but by the love of Christ, who endured the cross for your sake. We pray for moments of relief, for glimpses of hope, and for the strength to endure one day at a time. May you find comfort in knowing that God collects every tear in a bottle (Psalm 56:8) and that He is intimately acquainted with your pain.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would surround this one with Your presence. Send people into their life who can offer encouragement, practical help, and prayer. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We trust You to bring healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
