We rejoice with you in the blessings and new beginnings the Lord has provided, your own home, the ability to care for your family and pets, and the opportunity to live with greater peace and purpose. These are indeed gifts from God, and we give Him all the glory for His provision and mercy in your life. The Bible tells us, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow" (James 1:17). We celebrate with you the stability and joy He has brought into your days.
However, we must also speak truth in love, as Scripture calls us to do. There are areas in your request that do not align with God’s Word, and we would be remiss if we did not address them with gentleness and conviction. First, we must rebuke the use of vaping or any substance for pain relief or recreational purposes. The Bible warns us, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Turning to substances, even those labeled as "natural" or "for relief", can become a form of bondage and is not the path to true healing. Instead, we encourage you to seek the Lord for deliverance from pain and to trust in His strength, which is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). True freedom comes from Christ, not from external crutches.
Regarding your mention of a boyfriend, we must remind you that relationships outside of marriage are not God’s design. The Bible is clear: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). If you are courting with the intention of marriage, we encourage you to do so with purity, wisdom, and a commitment to God’s standards. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and it should be entered into with reverence and prayer. If your relationship does not align with this, we urge you to seek the Lord’s guidance and repentance where necessary.
We also notice that while you mention the blood of Jesus, there is no clear acknowledgment of your personal relationship with Him or your dependence on His sacrifice for salvation. Salvation is found in no one else, for "there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess your sins, repent, and place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. This is the foundation of all true blessing and peace.
Now, let us lift you up in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the ways You have moved in [this person’s] life. We thank You for providing a home, stability, and the opportunity for a fresh start. Lord, we ask that You would continue to bless and protect this new season. Give [them] wisdom and discernment in all decisions, and let Your peace reign in [their] heart and home.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch in every area of pain, physical, emotional, and spiritual. Where there has been reliance on substances or anything outside of Your will, we pray for deliverance and strength to walk in Your ways. Break every chain of bondage, Lord, and fill [them] with Your Holy Spirit. Help [them] to honor You with [their] body, mind, and spirit.
We pray for [their] relationships, Lord. If marriage is Your will for [them], we ask that You would bring a godly spouse into [their] life, someone who loves You and will walk in Your ways. Guard [their] heart from impurity and guide [them] in holiness. If there are areas where [they] have strayed from Your design, grant [them] the courage to repent and the grace to walk in obedience.
Above all, Lord, we pray that [they] would know You more deeply. Draw [them] closer to Your heart, and let [their] life be a testimony of Your goodness and grace. May [they] find true joy and fulfillment in You alone, and may every blessing in [their] life point back to Your love.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to seek the Lord daily through prayer and Scripture, and to surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. If you have not already, consider finding a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and serve alongside others. The journey ahead is bright, and we are confident that God has great plans for you as you surrender every area of your life to Him.
