Heavenly Father, we thank You for nearness to God James 4:8. Help us be true worshippers, for such You are seeking, Jn 4:23. Grant us renewals of our first love, Rev 2:4, make the Bible as it was to us the first time we read with understanding, for the unfolding of Your Words gives light and understanding to the simple, Ps 119:130. Jesus, grant us freely to be "like children again," Matt 18:3, Mark 10:15, Matt 18:17, with the faith of a child, and grant us increase in devotional love of Your Father and Our Father by revealing Him to us, Matt 11:27, child-like trust, worship, adoration and prayer, Rev 2:5. Give us grace, discipline, and strengthen our resolve to take care of our own vineyards, Song 1:6, tend our gardens & keep them Gen 2:15, even forcefully take the Kingdom, Matt 11:12, and though You grant the Kingdom freely, Dan 7:27, Luke 12:32 -- You reward diligent seeking, Heb 11:6..

Holy Spirit of Wisdom & Revelation, flood our hearts with light to Know God, the Hope of our calling here and eternal, and the riches of what Christ wants to give us both now and forever, Eph 1:17-20, The Word Lk 24:45, Study 2 Tim 2:15, Intercession 1 Tim 2:1-4. Clarity & Order 1 Cor 14:33, resulting in happy grace for chores, wisdom for pressing needs Tit 3:14; fellowship w/ The Trinity & our teams 1 Cor 3:9, family, friends & the lost 1 Jn 1:1-3. We join with you in this deep longing to worship in spirit and truth and to walk in the wisdom and grace our Father so freely gives. We are encouraged by your hunger for nearness to God, for we know that when we draw near to God, He will draw near to us James 4:8, and that the Father is indeed seeking such true worshippers to worship Him John 4:23.

We love your prayer for a renewal of first love Rev 2:4 and for the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ 2 Cor 11:3. We agree with you that the unfolding of His words gives light and gives understanding to the simple Psalm 119:130, and that unless we turn and become as little children we will in no way enter the Kingdom of Heaven Matt 18:3. How beautiful to ask again for the faith of a child and for the Father to be revealed to us through the Son Matt 11:27, bringing childlike trust, worship, adoration and prayer.

We also stand with you in asking to receive freely from the throne of grace. We are told to draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need Heb 4:16. And we join you in asking for wisdom to walk worthily, that we may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthily of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory Col 1:9-11. We pray too that we may learn to maintain good works to meet pressing needs, that we may not be unfruitful Titus 3:14.

We thank God that we are His fellow workers 1 Cor 3:9, called into fellowship with the Trinity and with one another 1 John 1:3, and that as we abide in Him and His words abide in us, we will ask whatever we desire and it will be done for us, and in bearing much fruit we prove to be His disciples and the Father is glorified John 15:7-8.

And we agree with you for protection from temptation and stumbling blocks Rom 14:13, 1 Cor 8:9, from sin and deception and from the evil one John 17:15, for He will give His angels charge over us to guard us in all our ways Psalm 91:11 and His angels are ministering spirits sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation Heb 1:14.

So we pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your nearness and for seeking true worshippers. Renew in us our first love and make Your Word alive to us again as when we first understood it. Grant us to be like children again in faith, trust, worship and prayer, and reveal the Father to us through Jesus. Pour out Your Spirit of wisdom and revelation that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened to know the hope of Your calling and the riches of Your glory Eph 1:18 and open our minds to understand the Scriptures Luke 24:45. Give us grace and discipline to tend the garden You have given us Gen 2:15 and to take care of our own vineyards Song 1:6, and teach us to seek You diligently for You reward those who do Heb 11:6. Grant us clarity and order for You are not a God of confusion but of peace 1 Cor 14:33, happy grace for daily chores, wisdom for pressing needs, faithful fellowship in our teams and families, and angelic protection and ministry along the way. Keep us from every stumbling block and from evil, and restore to us the joy of Your salvation that we may teach transgressors Your ways and sinners may be converted to You Psalm 51:12-13. Let us bear much fruit and proclaim repentance and forgiveness of sins in Your name Luke 24:47. We ask all this through Jesus Christ, the one mediator between God and men 1 Tim 2:5, our priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek Psalm 110:4, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We were so encouraged to read your heart in this prayer. Your longing to worship in spirit and truth, to know the nearness of God again with childlike trust and first love, comes through so clearly. It is a beautiful desire, and we join you in asking God to meet you there.

One thing we have found helpful to remember is that this kind of renewal rarely comes all at once. Growing in worship and devotion is more like training over a long season than a single moment of trying harder. There will be highs and lows, but God is faithful through it all. Worship itself helps us in that training, it lifts our eyes to God on His throne and gently resets how we see our circumstances, ourselves, and the people around us. Simply staying close through His Word, prayer, and gathering with other believers gives the Holy Spirit room to do that slow, lasting work.

If it helps, you might choose just one small, steady rhythm for this week, perhaps a few unhurried minutes each morning to read and pray before the day's demands begin, and notice what God brings to light.

Father, thank You for drawing near when we draw near to You. Renew in our brother and sister that first love and childlike faith, give fresh light from Your Word and joy in Your presence, and guide each step with wisdom and grace. Keep us from evil and make our lives fruitful for You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

How good it is to hear a prayer that seeks first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and longs to worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for such the Father seeks. We join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, asking that you may draw near to God with the promise that He will draw near to you.

We pray that the Lord who remembers with grace the kindness of your youth and the love of your espousals would renew in you that first love which once made Christ so precious. Do not think that He is indifferent to your first prayers and first praises, for like as a father pities his children, so the Lord delights in the broken and lisping notes of His own. Yet if that love has grown cold, return again to first principles and to the great foundation stone, the cross of Christ, and to close communion with Him, for by neglect of communion that love is lost, and by communion it is restored. May the unfolding of His Word again give light and understanding to the simple, and be as sweet as when you first read it with opened eyes, and may you be kept in simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

We ask that you may be made as a little child again, with childlike trust and faith, that the Son may reveal the Father to you, and that you may wait upon the Lord in true dependence. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, for waiting signifies dependence and faith to see God in the dark and rest in His promise when it tarries. Grant you grace and discipline to keep your own vineyard and to tend the garden where He has placed you, and wisdom to walk with clarity and order, for God is not the author of confusion. May He give you happy grace for daily chores and wisdom for pressing needs, and cause you to abound in fruit as you abide in Christ, labouring together with Him and with His people as fellow workers, in fellowship with the Trinity and with family and friends, and in faithful proclamation of repentance and forgiveness to the lost.

We pray also for your protection, that you may be delivered from temptation and from the evil one, from every stumbling block and from sin, and from evil men and deceivers who would lead astray. May the Lord give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways, and keep you in the joy of sins forgiven, that fresh repentance may restore the joy of His salvation and make you the means of the happy conversion of sinners.

All this we ask through Jesus Christ, the one Mediator between God and man, our Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek, who loved us and gave Himself for us, and who ever lives to make intercession for us. May your thanksgiving rise to Him continually, for true worship is of the heart and spirit, and not of form alone, and may your life show that Christ is first and self is last, with nothing between but love.
