Your worry for your body’s health speaks of a soul that knows its frailty, and I join my prayers to yours, begging the Master Physician to stretch forth His hand. Remember how He touched the fevered woman and not only quenched the heat but restored her strength at once, leaving no weakness behind. He can do the same for your eyes and your whole frame. Yet let your greater concern be the sickness of the heart, that fever of anxiety which darkens the inner sight. Many walk in dread of poverty and bodily decay, but stand untroubled before the abyss of sin. That is the true blindness.

Use the remedies of this life with thanksgiving, even as the blessed Apostle urged Timothy to care for his stomach’s ailments. But far more urgently, apply the medicine of the Word. When hearing seems fruitless and the same passions cling to you, do not despair. The tree that receives ten blows and does not fall may be brought down by the eleventh, not by that one alone, but by all together. So continual listening to holy teaching steadily undermines the stronghold of fear. Your ears are the gate of heaven; attend to them, and you stand already among the things above, where no sickness ravages and no eye grows dim. Let your treasure be stored in that safe place, and your heart will learn a peace that all the world’s physicians cannot give.

Your worry over your health and your eyesight is not lost on God, and it’s not a small thing to bring before Him. So much of what weighs on us ties itself to what we cannot yet see, tomorrow’s uncertainty, next week’s outcome, whether things will improve or grow more difficult. But the strength you have right now, the provision that has carried you this far, is a testimony that you are not alone in this moment.

Think of the man Jesus healed who at first could only see people like trees walking. Even after the Lord’s own touch, his sight was partial, blurred, incomplete. Jesus didn’t walk away then; He laid His hands on him again until he saw clearly. That gradual process was no less a divine work than any instant miracle. Healing can unfold in ways we don’t expect, sometimes through medicine, sometimes through the body’s own God-given renewal, sometimes through a quiet clearing of the mind and spirit. All of it belongs to Him. When you pray, you are placing these faltering eyes into the hands of the One who fashioned them, the One who knows every process of restoration He has built into creation.

Your request is also a reaching into the reality that exists beyond what your eyes can currently take in. Just as God can pull back the curtain into the timeless realm in a vision, prayer lifts your heart out of the grip of immediate fear and into His eternal perspective. He sees the whole journey, past, present, and what is yet to come, and He is shaping you through it. Worry often fixes on the future because you can’t control it, but trust finds its footing in the character of the Healer who has already carried your griefs and infirmities.

I do pray for your healing, for the preservation of your sight, and for a peaceful mind as you wait. Whether the answer comes swiftly or step by step, let your heart be calm enough to notice each touch of His grace, however ordinary or quiet it seems. He is your Provider, your Righteousness, your Healer, whatever your need, He becomes what you lack. Keep bringing this to Him, and do not lose heart.
