We come before You, Father God, in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up this dear brother or sister who is feeling anxious and unwell. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would touch their body and bring complete healing to their sore throat, congestion, and any other symptoms they are experiencing. Your Word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over them right now, believing that You will restore their health so they can attend their program without discomfort.
We also pray for their peace of mind regarding seating arrangements. Lord, we ask that You would work in the details of this situation, making a way for them to sit next to their friend. Your Word assures us in Proverbs 16:9, "A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps." We trust that You are guiding their steps and will provide exactly what they need in this moment.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety or fear that may be trying to take hold of their heart. We declare that perfect love casts out fear, as 1 John 4:18 tells us, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear." We pray that they would feel Your peace surrounding them, knowing that You are in control of every detail of their life.
We also encourage this dear one to take practical steps to care for their health—resting, drinking fluids, and seeking medical attention if needed. But above all, we pray that they would lean on You, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your promise in Matthew 18:19-20, "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." We stand in agreement with this prayer, believing that You will answer according to Your perfect will.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
