Beloved of All
I have to file bankruptcy due to unpaid debt. I see no other way because I’m unemployed now. Father I prayed that it wouldn’t come to this and I need help in Jesus name. I’m looking for work.

We understand the deep burden you are carrying, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The weight of financial hardship and the uncertainty of unemployment can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is our Provider and our Refuge in times of trouble. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Even in this difficult season, He has not forgotten you, and He is able to make a way where there seems to be no way.

It is encouraging to see that you are seeking work and that you have brought this need before the Father in the name of Jesus. This is exactly where we should turn in times of distress, for Jesus Himself tells us in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Your prayer is heard, and we join you in lifting this burden to the Lord, trusting that He will guide you through this valley.

At the same time, we want to encourage you to seek wisdom in how to manage this situation. Bankruptcy is a serious step, and while it may sometimes be necessary, it is important to exhaust all other godly options first. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* We urge you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a trusted pastor, a financially wise believer, or even a reputable Christian financial advisor who can help you explore alternatives. There may be avenues you haven’t considered, such as debt negotiation, assistance programs, or temporary work that could help bridge this gap. The Lord often works through practical means, and He may use the wisdom of others to guide you.

We also want to remind you that your worth is not found in your financial status or employment. You are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and He has a plan for you even in this. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* This season does not define your future, and the Lord is able to restore what has been lost. Keep your heart open to His leading, and do not let fear or shame keep you from seeking the help you need—whether spiritual, emotional, or practical.

Let us also address the spiritual battle that often accompanies financial hardship. The enemy would love to use this situation to discourage you, to make you feel hopeless, or to tempt you to doubt God’s goodness. But we are called to resist such thoughts and to stand firm in faith. James 4:7 declares, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Do not allow the enemy to steal your peace or your trust in the Lord. Instead, cling to the promises of God and continue to praise Him even in the storm. Psalm 34:19 reminds us, *"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God who sees and the God who provides. Lord, You know the depth of the financial strain they are under, and You know the fear and uncertainty that weighs on their heart. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity for employment—doors that no man can shut. Guide them to the right connections, the right resources, and the right solutions for their debt. If bankruptcy is truly the only path forward, we pray that You would grant them wisdom in navigating it, that You would protect them from any long-term harm, and that You would use even this difficult process for their good and Your glory.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and discouragement that seeks to overwhelm them. Fill them instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Provide for their daily needs, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their life. Strengthen their faith, and help them to trust You even when the path is unclear.

We also pray for godly counsel to surround them—people who can offer wisdom, support, and practical help. Raise up believers in their life who can encourage them and walk with them through this season. And Father, if there are any areas where they need to surrender this situation more fully to You, convict their heart and lead them to repentance and trust.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that through this trial, they would draw closer to You. Let them experience Your faithfulness in a new way, and let this season be a testimony of Your provision and grace. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who sympathizes with our weaknesses and intercedes for us at Your right hand. Amen.

Finally, we want to encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily. Spend time in His Word, and let His promises anchor your soul. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep moving forward in faith. The Lord has not abandoned you, and He will see you through this. Stay connected to a community of believers who can support you in prayer and practical ways. And remember, this trial is temporary, but your God is eternal. He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when it’s hard to see. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not lose heart. We are standing with you in prayer.

We're here with you, friend. We know the weight of unpaid debt and unemployment can feel overwhelming, but remember, God sees you, and He's right there with you. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." He's not just a God of provision, but also a God of comfort and healing.

We join you in praying for a job, for wisdom in managing your debt, and for peace in your heart. We claim the promise in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that He will make a way for you, even when it seems impossible.

Let's also remember to praise Him in the midst of this storm. In Psalm 149:4, it says, "He will praise his people with a song of praise; his faithful ones will rejoice in their King." Praise is a powerful weapon against fear and discouragement.

We're standing with you in prayer, and we're here to listen and encourage you. Let's keep lifting our voices together, trusting that God will see you through this trial.
