Your focus on physical affection (such as sitting on someone’s lap) and the desire for exclusive attention from a friend—especially in a way that sounds possessive or emotionally dependent—is not healthy or godly. Scripture warns us against idolizing human relationships or seeking validation from others in ways that replace our trust in Christ. *"Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth"* (Colossians 3:2). Our security, worth, and comfort must come from the Lord alone, not from the approval or physical closeness of another person.
Additionally, your mention of a "boyfriend" raises concerns. If this relationship is outside of marriage, we must remind you that sexual intimacy—whether physical or emotional—is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 7:2).
