Beloved of All
Don’t know whole story but hope Turkey doesn’t do anything to harm anyone, as I heard that the United States is selling or sold F-35s to Turkey and I hope that Russia doesn’t get any ideas. I hope not to go to a doctor until after ###. Hope to go out on Saturday and hope its sunny.

We come before the Lord with these concerns on your heart, lifting up the nations and your personal needs in prayer. First, we acknowledge that the Lord is sovereign over all the earth, every nation, every leader, and every circumstance is under His authority. "The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (Proverbs 21:1 WEB). We pray for wisdom and restraint for the leaders of Turkey, the United States, Russia, and all nations, that they would act with justice, peace, and discernment rather than aggression or selfish ambition.

Father, we ask that You would intervene in the affairs of men to prevent harm and conflict. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of those in positions of power (Philippians 4:7 WEB). We pray that any weapons or alliances would be used for the protection of the innocent and the defense of righteousness, not for oppression or destruction. Lord, we trust in Your promise that "blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God" (Matthew 5:9 WEB). Raise up peacemakers in every nation, including Turkey and Russia, to guide decisions that honor You.

We also lift up your personal concerns to the Lord. If there is fear or anxiety about visiting a doctor, we pray for Your peace to calm your heart. "Cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). We ask that You would provide clarity and courage when the time comes for you to seek medical care after . May You go before you and grant wisdom to those who will care for you.

As you look forward to going out on Saturday, we pray that the day would be filled with Your joy and provision. Whether the sun shines or clouds gather, may Your presence be your comfort and strength. "This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24 WEB). Let your time outside be refreshing to your spirit, and may You encounter moments of beauty and gratitude that draw you closer to the Lord.

We also want to gently encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, who is the Prince of Peace and the only mediator between God and man. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His sacrifice that we are saved. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we pray that you would consider the truth of His love and the gift of salvation He offers. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB).

Lord, we ask that You would guard this dear one’s heart from fear and fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18 WEB). May they walk in faith, trusting in Your goodness and sovereignty over all things. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear the swirl of concerns you’re carrying right now, from global headlines that feel far beyond our control to the personal worries closer to home. It’s easy for all those thoughts to tangle together, but we want to gently draw out the part you mentioned that is most directly about you: your hope to hold off on a doctor’s visit and to enjoy a sunny, normal Saturday.

We don’t know what that scheduled visit or symptom is, but we do know that sometimes anxiety tries to dress itself up in big, distant fears when a more personal one is too hard to sit with. If your reason for postponing is rooted in dread of what a doctor might say, we want to warmly encourage you not to let fear delay needed care. Going doesn’t mean you’re failing to trust God; it’s simply being wise about the body He gave you. We’ve watched people wait out of anxiety, only to see the worry grow heavier than the actual appointment ever was. So alongside prayer, we’d urge you to keep that visit unless a trusted professional tells you it’s fine to wait.

And for Saturday, we hope the sun comes out, too. Sometimes a simple, gentle day is genuinely healing.

Lord, this moment feels heavy, so we ask You to steady our friend’s heart. Quiet the noise of distant wars and let Your peace settle over the worries closest to home. Give courage if a doctor’s visit is needed, and grant a sweet, restful Saturday that feels like a small gift from Your hand. In Jesus’ name.

Your mind is tossed with many cares, the doings of nations, the sale of armaments, the shadow of conflict, the appointment with the physician, the weather for a Saturday outing. These things swarm about you, and you find no rest. Yet what is this but to let the world's noise drown out the still, small voice that whispers peace? The blood of Jesus whispers peace within; it speaks not of the absence of war among men, but of reconciliation with God, a peace which the world cannot give and cannot take away.

You hope Turkey does no harm, yet the hearts of all men are in the hand of the Lord; you hope Russia stirs not, yet He sets the bounds of nations. Is He not worth trusting with these great matters? And as for the physician, why cringe before that day? If you trust Him with your soul, can you not trust Him with your body?

To do the will of Jesus, this is rest, even in the waiting room, even under the surgeon's hand. And the sunshine you long for, should the skies be grey, yet the light of His countenance may make your heart glad. Only trust Him, only trust Him, only trust Him now. He is our peace, not the quiet of circumstances, but the deep, still river of the soul stayed on Jehovah.

Cast yourself upon Him, and you shall find that you swim when you sink, and the very anxiety that harasses you shall be swallowed up in perfect peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You let your mind be troubled by the doings of nations, the F-35s and the threats of rulers. What is this to you? The Lord has not set you as a watchman over the world, but commands you to watch your own soul. There are daily wars, destructions innumerable, and on every side the wrath of God encloses us as in a net, yet we slumber as though all were well. Do not tremble at what the Turks or the Russians may do, but tremble lest you fall into hell. The true war is within: your passions arrayed against your spirit, the world enticing you to forget eternity.

You hope for sunny weather on Saturday and to avoid the doctor until after a certain day. You are like those Pharisees who could read the sky’s face and say, “Fair weather,” or “Foul weather,” yet could not discern the signs of the times. What does it profit you if the sun shines on your body, but the light of righteousness does not shine in your heart? He is not rich who has many possessions, nor is he in good health who feels no ache in his flesh. The rich man in the parable had fair weather every day, yet he lifted up his eyes in torment; Lazarus had no comfort, yet was carried to Abraham’s bosom. So learn that neither sickness nor poverty is the true calamity, but the sin that plunges a man into ruin. Cast out the desire for ease and pleasant skies, and you will have peace whether it rains or shines.

Do not defer the care of your soul until after some date on a calendar. While you say, “I hope not to see a doctor until then,” your soul may be required of you this very night. The time is short. Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. Attend to your body with sober moderation, but do not make it a pretext to neglect repentance. Cease, then, from this restless anxiety. Instead of scanning the news for the movements of armies, scan your conscience for the movements of sin. Show mercy, for we all stand in need of mercy. Then, whether in health or sickness, in calm or storm, you will be rich toward God and hidden in His peace.

It is good to bring these things before the Lord. The world is full of uncertainty, and our hearts naturally reach out with hopes for safety, for peaceful days, for the kind of weather that lifts our spirits. You have named specific concerns: nations and weapons, a doctor’s visit, a simple Saturday outing. That longing for things to go well is not wrong in itself, but God invites us to take those desires and place them openly before Him.

One of the great struggles we face in prayer is the difference between demanding our own way and trusting the One who knows all things perfectly. I can easily become frustrated when God does not give me what I think I need. But His wisdom is far deeper than mine. There were times in Scripture when even the apostle Paul was not given the health he might have preferred, yet God had a purpose in it. I do not know why some prayers seem to go unanswered while others are granted. The Lord does not promise us a life without trouble; He promises His presence in the midst of it.

That does not mean we stop asking. Bring each of these hopes to Him: the nations you mentioned, your body, your plans for the weekend. Ask with an open heart, not clinging to your own will so tightly that you cannot receive what He chooses. His answer may be exactly what you long for, or He may use these very circumstances to prepare you for something you cannot yet see. The work He is doing in you right now is often the groundwork for what lies ahead.

When anxiety over world events or personal health begins to press in, recall what He has already done. We are so quick to forget His faithfulness. He has brought you through every previous day, every past worry, and He will not fail you now. Your deepest thirst is not ultimately for sunny skies or trouble-free politics; it is for the living God Himself. Delight yourself in Him, and entrust all these lesser desires to His care. He knows what is good for you far better than you or I ever could.

May the Lord fill you with His grace and peace as you lean on Him.
