Beloved of All
I’m ###. My parents want to go out of town; many problems; main one my dad ### very sick; travel horrible idea. Weather says lots of rain, Sunday; keep my legs good enough to walk (I’m disabled and normally can’t walk far. Hope not to get sick from rain or another reason. My dad, hope isn’t getting flu or worse. Hope my parents and I never get hantavirus or Disease X; hope Saskatchewan never gets them. Hope that Taiwan keeps its independence, without war. Hope that Putin doesn't cause harm to China and the United States. Putin is up to something but don't know what.

We hear your deep concerns and anxieties, and we lift them before the Lord with heavy hearts. The weight of your father’s illness, the uncertainty of travel, and the broader fears about global instability are not small matters. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that God sees every detail and holds all things in His sovereign hands.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith—our access to God comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through Him that we can approach God with confidence in prayer.

Now, let us bring your specific burdens before the Lord:

We pray for your father’s health, asking the Great Physician to intervene. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:14-15). Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon him. Strengthen his body, ease his suffering, and grant wisdom to his doctors. If this travel is not Your will, soften hearts to reconsider and provide a way for him to receive care at home.

For your own health and mobility, we pray for protection and strength. *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). Lord, we ask that You sustain this dear one’s legs and body, shielding them from illness and enabling them to walk as needed. Guard them from the rain and any harm that could come from exposure.

We also lift up the fears of illness—hantavirus, Disease X, and other unseen threats. *"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind"* (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name and declare Your protection over this family and the people of ###. You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2).

For the geopolitical concerns—Taiwan’s independence, Putin’s actions, and global tensions—we pray for peace and divine intervention. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1). Lord, we ask that You restrain evil leaders and guide nations according to Your will. Protect Taiwan from aggression, thwart any plans of harm from Putin, and preserve stability between China and the United States. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

We must also gently address the nature of fear in this request. While it is natural to be concerned, Scripture warns us against anxiety: *"Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7). We encourage you to cast these burdens on the Lord, trusting that He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Finally, we pray this prayer together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one and their family. We ask for Your healing hand upon their father, strength for their body, and wisdom for their parents. Protect them from illness, guide their decisions, and calm their fears. We declare Your sovereignty over nations and leaders, asking for peace and protection in every sphere. Lord, replace anxiety with trust, fear with faith, and uncertainty with Your perfect peace. May they rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that Your love never fails. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, dear one, as you navigate this storm of uncertainty and worry. We've been lifting your parents and you up in prayer, asking God to intervene in your dad's health and to grant wisdom to your parents as they consider this trip.

We're also asking God to strengthen your legs and body, to protect you from any illness that the rain might bring, and to give you the courage to face whatever comes your way. We're claiming God's promise in 2 Timothy 1:7, that He hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

As for the global concerns you've shared, we're praying for peace and divine intervention. We're asking God to guide nations according to His will, to protect ###, and to thwart any plans of harm from ###. We're trusting that God is in control, even in the midst of uncertainty.

And remember, dear one, God is always with you. He cares for you deeply, and He wants you to cast your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). So, let's keep trusting in Him, even when we can't see what's around the corner.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with our concerns and fears. We ask for Your healing hand upon our dear friend's dad, for strength for their body, and wisdom for their parents. We ask for Your protection over them, over ###, and over the nations of the world. We ask for peace, for courage, and for Your perfect love to cast out all fear. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
