Working schedule VERY IMPORTANT!

Your request has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord with care and compassion. The weight you carry is real, commuting to another city without a car on a train that comes only every two hours, needing time in the morning to prepare the diet your stomach requires, needing to be home in the evening to care for your aging and sick mother, and carrying the responsibility of teaching young people. It is understandable that the thought of a schedule that forces you to wake at four in the morning or to run between classrooms feels overwhelming.

Scripture reminds us that each day has enough trouble of its own, and the Lord gently teaches us not to add tomorrow's burden to today's. He does not want you to live under superfluous anxieties, but to bring your needs to Him day by day and trust His fatherly care. The yoke He gives is sweet and light, not because the work is always easy, but because He bears it with us. The anxieties that come from covetousness or restless striving are heavy, but the path of faithful duty, caring for your health, honoring your mother, and doing your work diligently as a teacher, is a good and honorable path, and God sees it.

I will pray for you specifically. I will pray that the Lord will grant you favor and mercy with the authorities and with the one who makes the schedule, that you may receive work hours that allow you to take the train around ten in the morning and return around five twenty in the evening, or at least at times like eleven thirty or one thirty that still allow you to care for your needs at home. I will pray that you will be spared the hardship of waking at four and of constant switching of classrooms, and that your daily work may be ordered with as little stress as possible so you can serve your students well and care for your mother with peace.

Ask the Lord also for strength to be faithful in the duties of each day as it comes, trusting Him for the next day when it arrives, and not wearying in well doing even when the arrangements are difficult. He knows your diligence and your love for your mother. Honor for father and mother is precious to Him, and your desire to be present for her is pleasing in His sight.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come to You for this dear teacher. You know the train times, the distance, the early mornings, the need for a gentle diet, and the care required for an elderly mother. Have mercy and grant favor with those who set the schedule. Provide hours that are sustainable and kind, and keep away unnecessary complications and changes. Give peace to this heart, strength for each day, healing for the body, and grace to teach and to love at home. Help in trusting You one day at a time, knowing You will provide what is needed. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your heart for your mother and for your students and the weight you are carrying with your health and the commute are heard. It is understandable to want a schedule that allows you to prepare your meals in the morning, to care for your mother in the evening, and to avoid the exhaustion of very early mornings and long gaps between trains, and to hope for stability in your classroom assignment.

I want to encourage you first in the foundation that holds when schedules feel uncertain. Our standing before God does not rest on our efforts or on getting circumstances exactly as we wish. Salvation is God's work through Jesus Christ, finished on the cross, received by simply believing on Him whom God has sent. It is by grace through faith, a gift God Himself places in our hearts and draws us to receive. Because that work is finished, we can rest in what Christ has done rather than striving to earn God's favor, and we can come to Him in prayer with confidence that He hears us.

God also does a work in us before He does a work through us. Often as He shapes us He removes rough edges, and we do not always understand or enjoy that shaping. Scripture encourages us to count it joy when we go through hard testing, because He is preparing us for what He wants to do in and through our lives. The stress you feel around the timetable, the travel every two hours, the diet you must keep, and the care for your mother can feel like pressure from every side, and in those pressures God is still at work forming patience, trust and endurance in you.

Part of that work is learning to live in God's timing rather than our own. God rarely works as quickly as we would like, and waiting is difficult. Our impatience can get in the way, but if we wait, we often see how He works things out in ways we could not arrange ourselves. You have asked for favor and mercy from those who make the schedule, and that is right to pray. God is able to stir hearts, even the hearts of those in authority, to act with willingness and kindness. Just as He stirs willing hearts to accomplish His purposes, He can move those who decide assignments and timetables to show consideration. Pray for them, and also pray that you will have quiet diligence and peace to do your work faithfully whatever is decided, providing for your needs and serving your students well.

It is also true that God finishes what He begins. He who has begun a good work in you will continue to perform it until it is complete. His work in your life is not dependent on a perfect train at ten or at five twenty, and it is eternal in its value, far beyond one school year. That does not mean your request for a manageable schedule is unimportant to Him. He cares about your health, your mother, and your daily bread. Bring those specific needs to Him and ask for mercy, for wisdom for the decision makers, and for a classroom arrangement that allows you to teach effectively with less strain.

My prayer for you is that you will rest in the finished work of Jesus for your salvation and draw near to Him for strength today, that God will grant you favor where possible with those who set the schedule, that He will give you grace and health as you keep your diet and care for your mother, that He will give you patience if the answer requires waiting or adjusting, and that whether the schedule is exactly as you hope or requires a different sacrifice, you will know His presence and see His hand working in you and through your work as a teacher.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your working schedule.

We have continued to bring your specific needs before the Lord, that your schedule as a high school teacher would allow you to take the train at about ten am and return at about five twenty pm each day, and that you would be spared from having to wake at four am or from difficult morning trains the next day. We understand how important this is with no car and only a train every two hours to another city, with your gastritis diet that you must prepare in the morning and the need to care for your old sick mother in the evening, and that an alternative of eleven thirty or thirteen thirty could also work. We have also prayed for favor and mercy from the authorities and from the schedule maker, and that you would not have to switch classrooms and face added complications and stress. We take comfort in the promise that the heart of man plans his way but the Lord establishes his steps in Prov 16:9 and that we can cast our cares on Him because He cares for us in 1 Pet 5:7.

We pray that the Lord will grant you peace as you wait, that He will move the hearts of those who make the schedule to show you favor, and that He will provide the low stress schedule you need to care for your health and your mother while you serve your students. We ask for wisdom and strength for each day and for His provision for all your travels. We pray this in Jesus name.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
