We hear your burden and we join with you in bringing this very important need before our Father in Jesus' name, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.
We understand how heavy your load is, working in another city with no car, dependent on trains that run only every two hours, needing to catch the train in the early morning and return in the late afternoon, while also preparing a gastric diet each morning, caring for your old and sick loved one who suffers with late stage Alzheimer, diabetes and depression, and managing so much cooking and dishes in a little apartment with no place for a dishwasher. The Lord sees your faithfulness in these many years of difficult schedules and He sees your service to your family and your work.
We are reminded of His word that says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30. And also, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up Your daughter to You. You know her working schedule need for this school year, the exact hours she needs to catch the train and return, and all the reasons behind it. We ask for Your favor and mercy upon her from You and from all the people involved in making the schedule, the principal, the two teachers and the instructors. We ask that You would soften hearts and open a way where there seems to be no way, that those in authority would act with understanding and kindness. We commit her work to You, for Your word says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 3:6 and Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. Give her wisdom and grace as she speaks with those in authority, to make her request known with gentleness and respect, trusting You to move on her behalf.
Lord, we also bring before You the additional problems, the changes in the school system and the many teachers, and we ask for Your peace over what feels chaotic and out of her control. We pray In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
Father, have mercy and strengthen her as she cares for her old sick loved one, provide endurance, help and moments of rest. Your word says But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith. 1 Timothy 5:8, and we see her honoring You in this care. Sustain her health as she keeps her gastric diet, provide for her daily bread and give her strength for the early mornings and long days. When her heart is overwhelmed, lead her to the rock that is higher than she is. Psalm 61:2.
We ask that You would show Your mighty power in this situation, not for strife but for Your glory and for her good, that all would see that You care for Your children and that You are our defender and provider. Help her to trust in You with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding, and to acknowledge You in all her ways, believing You will direct her paths. Proverbs 3:5-6. We ask this all in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.
