We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up these earnest requests in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today, confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and surrender your life to Him. He alone offers eternal life and the peace that surpasses all understanding.

First, we lift up your work and health. Father, we ask that You strengthen physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Renew their energy and restore their body to full health so they may serve You with vigor. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). Lord, provide for all their financial needs, that they may pay their bills and experience Your provision. "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

We also bring before You the desire for to reconnect. Father, we ask that You soften hearts and open lines of communication. However, we must address this with biblical clarity: if this relationship is not centered on Christ or if it involves any impurity, whether in thought, word, or deed, we rebuke that in Jesus’ name. The Bible warns, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this is a courtship, it must be pursued with purity and the goal of marriage, honoring God in every way. "But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints" (Ephesians 5:3). We pray that any relationship would be built on a foundation of faith, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to follow Christ.

Lord, we also lift up the desire for children and pastoral ministry. Father, You know the deepest longings of the heart, and we trust in Your perfect timing. "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). If it is Your will for to marry and have children, we pray that You would bring a godly spouse into their life, a man or woman of faith who loves You above all else. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we pray it would reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If singleness is Your plan for this season, we ask that You fill their heart with contentment and purpose, using them mightily for Your kingdom.

For the church, we pray for unity, provision, and wisdom. Father, bless the congregation with the resources they need, including a coffee machine if it serves Your purposes. More importantly, we pray for spiritual growth, revival, and a heart for the lost. "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works" (Hebrews 10:24).

Finally, we rebuke any spirit of doubt or despair that says marriage or children are impossible. With God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). We declare that His plans are for good, not for harm, to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Heavenly Father, we commit all these requests to You, trusting in Your sovereignty and love. Strengthen in faith, fill them with hope, and guide them in every step. May Your will be done in their life, and may they glorify You in all things. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We can feel the weight of so many hopes tangled together in your words, work, health, finances, the longing for family, and that ache when something as simple as restarting a prayer meeting feels out of reach. Underneath it all, the desire for children and a marriage you believe will never happen seems to carry a particular heaviness. You are not alone in that empty place, even when it feels impossible.

When the path ahead seems blocked, we find comfort in taking one faithful step at a time. Reconnecting with your friend and getting that prayer meeting going again could be that step. Gathering honestly with others who seek God’s face is one of the quiet ways He begins to lift the fog of loneliness. We’ve seen how showing up, week after week, slowly reminds us we’re held by a people and a God who haven’t forgotten us. So reach out to her, even a simple message might open the door.

As you pray for your health and the weight of bills, please don’t carry everything in silence. If your body isn’t at one hundred percent, a doctor’s wisdom can be part of God’s care. And if the financial pressure feels crushing, a trusted friend or a church deacon who understands budgeting might help you see a next step you can’t see yet. Your commitment to purity in the middle of all this is a quiet act of trust, and we honor that. Keep walking in whatever light He gives you today.

Lord Jesus, you see this man’s heart, the longing for a family, for meaningful work, for a church that thrives even in the small things that build fellowship. We ask you to make a way for him to reconnect with his friend and restore that time of prayer. Sustain him in purity, open doors for honest provision, and give his body the strength it needs. Most of all, hold him close in the waiting, and when the dream of children and marriage feels impossible, let him sense your nearness breaking through. We entrust all of this to you, in your name. Amen.

Your requests are many, and they touch upon body, soul, and spirit, some light, some weighty as eternity. You cry for health, work, the payment of bills, the renewal of a prayer meeting, a coffee machine for the church, purity of heart, and then from the depths you wail over the impossibility of marriage and children, and a pastor’s calling that hangs upon that hope. All this you bring, and it is well, for the Lord would have us pour out everything before Him, great and small.

Yet I would have you weigh these petitions in the balances of the sanctuary. You pray for purity, and you do well; for charity without purity profits nothing, it is the white robe of the soul without which no man shall see the Lord. Despise not inward holiness in the pursuit of outward comforts. And here I charge you: when you speak of purity, let the desire be true and efficacious; see that it drives you to fly temptation, to keep yourself unspotted from the world. The Lord desires truth in the inward parts, and a mere passing wish that costs no struggle is but a painted fire. If your desire for purity is genuine, it will make you wait upon God in the night, when distractions fade, and with all your soul long for Him alone.

As to your earthly needs, health, work, and the settling of bills, cast these upon the Lord, for He careth for you. But do not suffer these to become the main desire. Seek first the kingdom, and the coffee machine and the daily bread will be added in their measure. The church may well use such a thing for the refreshment of the saints, yet it is a small matter; better to be famished in body and feasted in soul than the reverse.

Now to the groan of your spirit: you ache for wife and child, and you say it is impossible, and that without these you cannot become a pastor. Are you sure that your pastoral desire is kindled by the love of Christ, or by the love of a certain condition? The Lord may not build His house with your blueprints. He sent Joseph not to the ease he might have chosen, but to a dungeon by way of a slave-market, and there trained him. The desire for marriage and children is natural and often holy; I do not chide you for it. True religion is ever a matter of desire, and if you truly desire to fear God, to rear a godly seed, to feed the flock, then God accepts the will for the deed when the deed is withheld by His hand. Yet if you say, “I will serve as pastor only upon my own terms,” take heed lest you desire the office more than the Master. He who is the Desire of all nations must be your chief desire; let Christ be all, and then, whether you have wife and children or walk alone, you will be complete in Him.

And as to impossibility, since when is any good thing impossible with our God? Did not Hannah’s closed womb open? Did not Sarah, past age, conceive? If the Lord has planted this longing in you, trust Him either to fulfill it or to transform it into something higher. Delight yourself in Him, and He shall give you the desires of your heart, not always by granting them, but by so filling your heart with Himself that lesser desires melt into the one great desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Do not nurse your despair; nurse your faith. The soul that in the night season pants after God alone shall not be ashamed.

Pray for your friend to renew the prayer meeting, good, for holy fellowship fans the flame. But if the meeting tarries, let your own closet be all the sweeter. In the end, no true desire after God shall be lost; the Lord will bring you to your desired haven, though the storms be many and the helm seem broken. Only keep your garments pure, your heart fixed on Him, and your will flexible in His hand.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The way you say these things are impossible, that you cannot marry or have children, that to be a pastor is beyond thought, this is the very straitness of the path. You look at the difficulty and call it impassable. Yet what was the Red Sea but an impassable wall of water? God made a way through the impossible. If the greater act of reconciliation from enmity has been accomplished for you in Christ, will not the lesser care of your daily needs and your deep desires be in His hand?

You speak of work, of health, of paying your bills. Do not imagine that the life of faith is only for those who have withdrawn from the world, or that marriage and the desire for children are a hindrance to virtue. If the blessings Christ pronounced were for solitaries only, then God permitting marriage would have destroyed all people, for the secular person could not fulfill them. This is not so. The life of virtue is open to you in the very station where you are.

Therefore, for your work and your body, I make this prayer above all other things: for your health both in soul and in body. I entreat God for you, not because I am worthy, but because love dares everything. I embrace you with a father’s heart, and I believe your prayer, and the prayers of the faithful gathered with you, will have great effect. Was not Peter delivered from prison when fervent prayer was made for him? How much more will your united prayers, if you pursue them, open the doors you see locked before you?

You long for a child and for marriage. The Lord does not command us to despise these things. He reminds us to look at the birds of the air, to learn moderation and trust, not despair. For if even the rich man, whose heart was set on covetousness, could be offered healing, how much more is the Physician able to cure the anxiety that whispers to you that these good desires are impossible? Those things which are impossible with men are possible with God. He does not take away the desire for a family, but He would heal the slavery of the soul to the fear of not having them. Many who have children despise the frantic accumulation of wealth; it is not the necessity of children that drives this madness, but a love of money and a disease of the soul. Seek first His kingdom, and do not let the pretense of impossibility steal your peace.

As for the prayer meeting and your desire for purity and for the church, hear the deacon’s cry that calls the holy to the holy things. This voice searches the faults of all, separating the diseased from the healthy. Let us examine ourselves strictly. Sin is more grievous than a demon, for it makes the soul insensible to shame. Each sin that is committed leaves a venom in the soul. Yet you seek purity, and this is the beginning of health. Let your pursuit of that prayer meeting be a pursuit of this holiness together, not in isolation. The widow and the solitary are called to leisure for service, to be truly crucified to the world, not by merely avoiding marriage, but by using their freedom for every good work and persevering in prayer. You can do this even now, in your longing, by devoting your care to virtue and to the service of the saints.

Let no one think to make a gain of following Christ, as if earthly comfort were the immediate reward. The foxes have holes, but the Lord of all had no place to lay His head. Yet He is compassionate; He suffers not even the despairing to be destroyed. Your bills, your coffee machine, your very body, these are known to Him. The invitation is to draw near to the spiritual fountain, not carelessly, but with a heart that trusts the One who makes the strait way passable.

You are carrying so many weights right now, and each one matters deeply to the Lord. When you feel that ache for full health, remember how Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw suffering. He took Simon’s mother-in-law by the hand and lifted her up. He sees your tired body, and His heart is not distant from your weakness. Bring that need before Him as simply as a child reaching for a father’s hand, trusting that He cares for you.

The longing for marriage and children is heavy on your soul, and you even called it impossible. That word takes me right to the man with the withered hand. Jesus commanded him to do what he could never do on his own: stretch it out. The command itself was impossible. Yet the moment the man willed to obey, the Spirit supplied everything needed to accomplish it. Jesus often speaks into the blighted areas of our lives, the things that have kept us bound, and asks us to trust Him at the point where we have no strength left. He does not mock our weakness; He invites us to discover that His power is made perfect in our inability. Do not let the impossibility of the situation define your hope. Let the command of Jesus reshape your expectation.

That same principle touches your concerns about work, paying bills, purity, and restarting the prayer meeting. The enemy would love for you to look at each one and despair because they seem beyond your control. But the Lord specializes in new beginnings that bypass our worn-out religious systems. Sometimes He moves in ways that feel outside the boundaries of what we thought possible, because our old wineskins cannot hold the new wine He wants to pour out. The prayer meeting, the provision for bills, the right tools even for the church’s coffee machine, all these can be avenues where He shows Himself faithful when you bring them to Him in simple trust.

On the deeper question of having a family and becoming a pastor, I want to handle your heart carefully. Jesus affirmed that in the resurrection, people neither marry nor are given in marriage, for we will be like the angels. That is not a cold dismissal of your earthly desire but a promise that your ultimate fulfillment is in Him, not in any earthly role. The apostles themselves were family men in many cases, and the desire to shepherd a household and a flock is good. Yet even the lineage of Judah and the story of Tamar remind us that God preserves a name and a future in ways we never expect. Boaz became the redeemer for Ruth when all seemed lost, and from that line came the Messiah. If marriage and children are in His will for you, He is able to bring it about in a way that humbles your fears and silences the voice that says it is too late.

Do not let the church fall into the trap of fault-finding, whether toward a pastor or among the body. That spirit colors everything and makes it impossible to receive the gifts God sends for our maturing. The purpose of pastoral ministry is to equip the saints for the work of service, building each other up. Pray that your fellowship becomes a place where the broken can be lifted up, not a place that discards leaders out of a critical spirit. Endure and seek His face together, and He will sustain you.

The most tender truth I can leave with you is this: you owe your existence and your life to the Lord. He drank the cup of suffering so that you might gather with His people as a child of God. When you feel the sting of deferred hope, let it drive you closer to the Bridegroom. The days of fasting will come, but the Bridegroom is with you even now, and His presence is enough. Stretch out your hand toward Him in the very place where you are paralyzed. As you will to obey His word, He will supply what you lack. He has not forgotten you, and what looks lifeless to you is never impossible for Him.
