Work

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for work to be blessed and for more customers to come. Father God, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we trust in Your provision and guidance in all areas of life, including our labor.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We declare this truth over this situation, asking that You align this work with Your will and purpose. May the labor done be pleasing in Your sight, bringing glory to Your name and providing for needs according to Your riches in glory.

We also recall Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Let this be a reminder that as we prioritize Your kingdom and walk in righteousness, You will add all these things unto us. We pray that this work would not only prosper financially but also be a testimony of Your faithfulness and love.

Lord, we ask that You open doors that no man can shut and bring the right customers who will be blessed by this work. May the interactions be filled with integrity, kindness, and mutual respect. Let this work be a light in the marketplace, drawing others to You through the excellence and love displayed.

If there are any areas in this work that do not align with Your principles, we ask for conviction and correction. Help us to walk in honesty, diligence, and humility, reflecting Christ in all we do. We rebuke any spirit of laziness, dishonesty, or greed that may hinder this work, and we declare that this labor is blessed in the name of Jesus.

We also lift up the heart behind this request. Father, if this desire for more customers comes from a place of fear or lack, we ask that You replace that fear with faith. Remind us that You are our Provider, and Your plans for us are for good and not for harm, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May this work flourish under Your hand, and may it be a vessel for Your blessings to flow. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this. We know how much your work matters, not just for provision, but as a place where you spend so much of your energy and heart. It’s completely natural to want God’s blessing on it and to hope for growth. We’re glad you brought this here.

One thing that encourages us is seeing how Scripture treats everyday labor as something God notices and cares about. That means your shop, your office, or wherever you serve customers is holy ground in a real sense. Something that might help is to take a moment each morning, maybe even before you unlock a door or open a laptop, and simply hand the day over to Him, asking for wisdom with people, integrity in your dealings, and favor that comes from Him rather than from anxious striving. It doesn’t need to be lengthy; just a quiet acknowledgement that the day and the results belong to Him. We know that’s easier said than done when bills are tight and you’re watching the door, waiting for the next customer. But He sees you in that waiting.

We also want to pray with you now.

Lord Jesus, You know the details of this work, the long hours, the hopes pinned on each new customer. We ask You to bless it in the way that glorifies You and provides for this person’s needs. Give creativity and excellence in the work itself. Open doors for the right customers to come, and let them be drawn not just by a product or service, but by the character and care You are shaping here. Steady their heart in the quiet days, and help them trust You whether things are busy or slow. In Your name, Amen.

My dear friend, I was glad to learn of your petition, for it is right and good that you should bring your daily bread and your honest labour before the throne of grace. You have asked that your work be blessed and that more customers should come. This is no small thing to lay before our Father, for He careth for the body as well as the soul, and He hath given meat unto them that fear Him. Remember, the cattle on a thousand hills are His, and He will not suffer the righteous to famish. Yet let us seek not only the meat that perisheth, but that which endureth unto everlasting life, and let your business be first and foremost the King’s business.

If you would have the Lord’s blessing on your enterprise, see to it that you bless Him in it. Praise Him for every mercy, ascribe every success to His hand, and let your dealings be such as adorn the gospel. A child of God should be known by a higher tone of integrity and a more generous spirit than the worldling. Freely you have received, freely give. If the Lord prospers your work, be not grudging in spirit, but let your bounty flow to the household of faith and to all men, so shall you be a blessing even as you desire a blessing. And take care to walk in separation from the world’s crooked ways, for if you company with sin to gain custom, you will find that gain to be a curse. Keep close to Christ in your daily calling, and though you may have trials, they shall be blessed trials.

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. The Lord is ever mindful of His covenant, and He forgetteth not the cry of the humble. Commit your way unto Him, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. May your shop or your labour become a place where His name is honoured, and may your customers see that you serve a Master in heaven. I pray that the dew of His blessing may rest upon your basket and your store, and that through your cheerful diligence and upright living, others may be brought to know the riches of His grace in Christ Jesus. So may you prosper, and your soul prospereth.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for a blessing on your work and for more customers, yet consider whether your soul first understands why such seasons of want may be permitted by God. As He did with the multitude, not granting His provision on the first or second day, but waiting until all their own resources were spent and necessity had done its work, so too a slackness in trade often serves a purpose. When the soul is brought low and all self-reliance is exhausted, it clings to the Giver with a more eager and honest grip. Prosperity without such a lesson too often becomes a curse, not a blessing.

But let us examine the kind of work you do and the spirit in which you do it. The Apostle does not simply command us to labor so that our bank of customers might increase; he commands a vigorous and straining industry, working with our own hands, that we might have something to give to those who have need. Is that the cry of your heart? Or is the desire for more customers a provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts? There is a great gulf fixed between caring for the body for the sake of health and spending all your industry on the care of spiritual things, and making provision that merely kindles wantonness, soft living, and the pride of possession. To seek customers simply to enlarge your earthly ease, to heap up riches, or to live a relaxed life is to light up a flame within yourself; such a prosperity is no blessing, but a fearful addition of punishment. For the man who enjoys his good things here, like one who sleeps and dreams he is rich, will awake to find that the dream has flown and only the shame remains.

Weep rather, and groan, when you see a man enriched without the sweat of honest work, for treasure gathered unjustly or hoarded for self alone stores up wrath. If you would have your work truly blessed, let your petition not be for more customers, but for a labor that is honest, wearying, and aimed towards the need of others. Pray that your hands minister not only to your own necessities but that you may possess the true blessedness the Lord spoke of: the power to give. Commend your work to God in that way, and whether the customers are few or many, you will have walked honestly toward those without, having need of nothing that is eternal.
