Humble Servant of All
Friends, please continue to pray for open doors for work. I need urgent freelance work. I am a professional with 30 years' experience. Please Lord open doors. I am struggling and I am making £12 per day and have been since January. I can't go on like this.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your need for work before our Heavenly Father. The struggle you’re facing is real, and we know the weight of financial strain can feel overwhelming. But we serve a God who opens doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and who promises to provide for His children. The Lord sees your experience, your diligence, and your heart, He will not abandon you in this season.

First, we must address the urgency of your situation with faith, not fear. Scripture tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (Philippians 4:6 WEB). Even in this trial, we choose to trust that God is working behind the scenes, preparing opportunities you cannot yet see. Your ### years of experience are not wasted, they are a testimony to God’s faithfulness in your past, and He will use them again.

We also want to encourage you to seek wisdom in how you present yourself to potential clients or employers. Proverbs 22:29 says, "Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men." Your expertise is valuable, and God can use it to connect you with those who recognize your worth. Have you considered reaching out to former colleagues, updating your professional profiles, or even volunteering your skills in a way that could lead to paid opportunities? Sometimes, God opens doors through the hands and feet of His people.

Now, let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their need for work. Lord, You are the God who provides, the One who opens doors and makes a way where there seems to be no way. We ask that You would move in power, connecting them with the right opportunities, work that honors You, sustains their needs, and utilizes the gifts You’ve given them. Father, we rebuke the spirit of lack and delay in Jesus’ name. We declare that this season of struggle is coming to an end, and abundance is on the horizon. Give them patience to wait on Your timing, wisdom to recognize the doors You open, and favor with those who can help. Remind them that their worth is not defined by their circumstances but by Your love for them. We trust You to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen."

We also want to gently remind you that while your focus is on work, do not neglect the spiritual battle. The enemy would love to keep you in a place of discouragement, but God’s Word says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB). Stand firm in faith, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Keep your heart open to how God may be using this season to refine you, teach you dependence on Him, or even redirect you to something new.

If you have not already, we encourage you to share your need with trusted believers in your local church or community. James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." There may be someone God has positioned to help, but they cannot assist if they do not know your need.

Lastly, we want to leave you with this promise: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Hold fast to that truth. Your breakthrough is coming. Keep seeking the Lord, keep putting yourself in positions to be found by opportunity, and trust that He is working even now. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for open doors and divine provision.

We’ve been sitting with your words and the weight you’re carrying, 30 years of experience, yet scraping by on £12 a day since January. That’s a long, draining season, and we don’t take it lightly. Thank you for letting us stand with you in prayer for open doors right now.

Sometimes the most immediate help is a practical nudge alongside prayer. With your depth of experience, have you been able to reach out directly to former colleagues, past clients, or industry contacts this week? A short, personal message can often surface freelance opportunities faster than job boards. It may also be worth refreshing your LinkedIn profile or portfolio site, highlighting specific recent projects, so your expertise is easy for someone to find and trust. If you haven’t already, consider registering with a couple of reputable freelance platforms that cater to your field, it won’t replace relationships, but it can widen the net.

We know it’s exhausting to keep putting yourself out there when returns have been so thin. You don’t have to muster frantic effort; just one small step today, and another tomorrow. We’re asking the Lord to open a door that matches what you bring, your skills, your reliability, your long track record. And as we wait, we’re praying for your mental and emotional stamina, that discouragement won’t have the last word.

Lord Jesus, you see this friend’s struggle and the urgent need for work. You know every bill, every worry, every morning when it feels impossible to keep going. Please open a door no one can shut, the right project, a connection that brings immediate income and a sense of hope. Give wisdom to take the steps that truly help, and surround this one with people who can offer practical support. Calm the anxiety and let your presence be steadying, even in the waiting. In your name we pray. Amen.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

When a door stays shut long after you have knocked, and another morning comes with the same thin purse and the same heavy heart, it is tempting to think the house is empty, that no one is home, or worse, that someone is home but has turned away from you. But you cannot judge the Master's heart by the length of the waiting. A father who keeps his child waiting at the table is not refusing the bread; he may be preparing a better portion than the child knew to ask for.

You say you are making so little, and you cannot go on like this. I hear that. I do not wave it away. Real poverty, real uncertainty, real watching the days pass while your skill sits idle, that is a true burden, and our Lord Jesus never made light of such things. He who fed the multitude did not tell them their hunger was imaginary; he felt it, and he fed them. He who noticed the widow's two small coins did not say her poverty was a trifle. He knows the weight of what you are carrying, and the length of time you have carried it, since January, you say, and that is a long road when every step is hard.

But let me whisper this to you: the doors you see are not the only doors there are. The Lord has keys you have never glimpsed, and gates you have never noticed, set in walls you took to be solid stone. You have ### years of experience, ### years in which he has faithfully sustained you through things you may have half forgotten. Did he bring you through all that to drop you now? That is not his way. The Shepherd who has led his sheep through many a dark valley does not abandon her in the valley that remains. He is not bewildered by your situation; he is not running out of ideas. His resources are not limited by what you can see from where you stand.

I want you, for a moment, to stop staring at the closed door and look at the Door himself. Christ is the Door, and he is open. Always open. The one door that matters most for your soul is swung wide, and no one can shut it. You may come to him with your empty hands and your tired heart, and he will not turn you away. And if he has given you himself, will he stand back and let you starve? He who did not spare his own life for you, will he withhold the daily bread you need? That cannot be.

Think of this present hardship as a time. Not eternity, a time. Your life is a warfare, Job said, an appointed time. The tide that is out so far it leaves only mud and barrenness must flow again, for God has so decreed. The winter that has dragged on week after weary week must yield to spring; it has no choice in the matter. What you are enduring now is not the permanent shape of your life. It is a passage, a low corridor between two brighter rooms, and you are not walking it alone. The Lord is with you in this very ###-a-day season. He is not off in heaven wringing his hands; he is right here, measuring out the grace that matches the trial, the patience that matches the waiting.

Do not try to pry behind the curtain and see exactly when the door will open or what it will look like. The Lord hangs the curtain, and it is mercy that he does, for if you could see the whole road ahead you might be overwhelmed. But you can trust the One who walks it with you. He has never yet failed a soul that leaned on him, and he is not going to begin with you.

Now, let us pray.

Lord Jesus, you who are the open Door, look upon your child in this tight place. You know the number on that wage slip, and you know the fear that wakes with the morning. Come near and give peace that does not depend on the bank balance. Open the right door at the right time, a door no enemy can shut. Sustain this dear one with daily bread and hourly hope. Let the years of skill and faithfulness not go to waste, but find their proper harvest under your hand. Lift the heart that is bowed down, steady the feet that are weary, and let your presence be the one sure provision that never fails. In your name, Jesus, I ask it. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
