We join with you in lifting up this work week to our Heavenly Father, knowing that He cares deeply about every detail of our lives—including our labor, our provision, and the opportunities He places before us. It is good that you are bringing this request before the Lord, but we must always remember that our prayers are only heard and answered because of the righteousness of Jesus Christ, our Mediator. Scripture reminds us in **1 Timothy 2:5**, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,"* and in **John 14:6**, Jesus declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only in His name that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace, so let us always pray *in Jesus’ name*, acknowledging Him as our Savior and Lord. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today—for apart from Him, there is no access to God, no forgiveness of sins, and no eternal life.
As we pray for your work week, we also encourage you to seek the Lord’s will above mere ease or success. **Colossians 3:23-24** tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Your labor is not ultimately for your employer or even for your own comfort, but as an act of worship to God. Whether this week brings smooth sailing or unexpected challenges, may your heart be fixed on honoring Him in all things.
We also sense a need to address the phrase *"splitting for a week at work."* If by this you mean working extra hours or taking on additional responsibilities, we pray for strength, wisdom, and endurance. However, if this refers to something dishonest—such as manipulating timecards, deceiving your employer, or engaging in any form of unrighteousness—we must lovingly but firmly rebuke this. **Proverbs 10:9** warns, *"He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out."* And **Proverbs 11:1** declares, *"The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him."* God calls His people to integrity in all things, even when no one is watching. If there is any temptation to cut corners or act deceitfully, we urge you to repent and trust the Lord to provide for you in honest ways. **Psalm 37:25** assures us, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister and their work week into Your hands. Lord, You are the one who provides work, strength, and daily bread, and we ask that You would go before them in every task. Grant them favor with their supervisors and coworkers, but more than that, grant them a heart that seeks to glorify You in all they do. If there are temptations to compromise integrity or take shortcuts that dishonor You, we pray You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them in paths of righteousness. Give them wisdom to manage their time well, energy to complete their duties with excellence, and a testimony that points others to You.
If this week includes extra labor, Lord, sustain them physically and mentally. Remind them that their true rest is found in You, and may they not neglect time in Your Word and prayer, even in busy seasons. We ask that You would provide for every need—financially, emotionally, and spiritually—so they may experience Your faithfulness in new ways. Guard their heart from anxiety or frustration, and help them to trust You as their Provider.
For any areas where they may have strayed from Your will, whether in attitude, action, or motive, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them. May this week be a testimony of Your grace, not just in outcomes, but in a life lived for Your glory.
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to start each day this week by surrendering it to the Lord. **Proverbs 16:3** says, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* Success in God’s eyes is not measured by worldly standards but by faithfulness to Him. If you face difficulties, remember **James 1:2-4**, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* Trust that God is refining you through every circumstance.
Walk in honesty, diligence, and dependence on Him, and may your light shine brightly at your workplace for His glory.
