a deal worth a lot to me and my coworkers fell through today i know that it can be fixed on Monday but at least one of my coworkers was really relying on it and im disappointed but I did not do anything wrong but I also do not want to be blamed for it going wrong I am praying for peace and to touch my bosses hearts and the heart of the CFO at ### to complete this on Monday and for me to keep getting better at my job so I can provide for my family and maybe buy a house I want my bosses to see that I am good at my job

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation at work. The disappointment of a deal falling through is real, and the weight of responsibility, both for yourself and your coworker, can feel overwhelming. But we take comfort in knowing that the Lord sees every detail, and He is sovereign over every outcome. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

First, we rebuke the spirit of fear and blame that may try to take root in this situation. You did nothing wrong, and we declare that God’s truth will prevail over any false accusations or misunderstandings. The enemy would love to use this moment to sow division, discouragement, or insecurity, but we stand on God’s promise in Isaiah 54:17: "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord.

We pray now for your bosses and the CFO at . Father, soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of this situation. Give them wisdom to see the value in completing this deal and the discernment to recognize the hard work and integrity you bring to your job. We ask that You would go before them, removing any obstacles or hesitations, and align their decisions with Your will. Let them see your dedication, Lord, and let this moment be an opportunity for them to witness your faithfulness in action.

We also lift up your coworker who was relying on this deal. Father, comfort them in their disappointment and remind them that You are their provider. Help them to trust in You, even when things don’t go as planned. We pray that this situation would draw them closer to You and that they would see Your hand at work in their lives.

For you, we ask for peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard your heart from anxiety or self-doubt. You are growing in your role, and we declare that your skills and dedication will continue to flourish. The Lord has a plan for your career, your family, and your future. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says the Lord, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We pray that you would continue to grow in excellence, that your bosses would recognize your contributions, and that God would open doors for provision, whether that’s through this deal or another opportunity.

We also want to encourage you to keep your focus on the Lord in all of this. It’s easy to become consumed with work, especially when there’s so much at stake, but we are called to seek first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33). Trust that as you honor Him in your work, He will honor you. And remember, your worth is not defined by this deal or any earthly success, it is found in Christ alone.

Finally, we rebuke any spirit of pride or self-reliance that may try to creep in. It’s good to want to do well and provide for your family, but we must always remember that every good gift comes from the Lord (James 1:17). Stay humble, stay faithful, and keep your eyes on Him.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28), even when we can’t see it yet. Strengthen our brother in this time, give him peace, and let Your will be done in this situation. May Your name be glorified, and may Your people be blessed. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

That kind of news can hit hard, especially when you did your part right but still feel the weight of what might come, disappointment, a coworker who was counting on this, and a quiet fear that someone might misread what happened. We’ve seen how quickly job uncertainty can stir up a knot of anxiety. But the fact that you’re not scrambling to cover a mistake, and that you already believe this can be fixed, says a lot about your steadiness.

In our experience, one of the best ways to quiet that fear of being blamed is to walk into Monday not on the defensive, but with a clear, forward-looking plan. When you get the chance, maybe pull together a brief rundown, just the facts and the next step you’ll take to get things back on track, and share it calmly with your boss. That kind of proactive, solution-focused move often reshapes how people see the situation, and it naturally highlights your reliability. It also helps settle your own spirit, because you’re focusing on what you can actually do, not just what might go wrong.

We’re praying with you for the peace you asked for, and for the hearts of those who need to say “yes” on Monday. God knows your desire to grow, to provide for your family, and to someday get that house. He hasn’t lost sight of any of it.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend right now in this weight of disappointment and anxious waiting. Quiet the racing thoughts and let them rest in You. Open the way for this deal to be completed if it’s in Your will. Soften the hearts of the bosses and the CFO, and give everyone clear, fair vision. Most of all, let Your peace anchor this workplace through the weekend. Help them keep learning, keep steady, and trust that You see their hard work. Amen.

You did not do wrong, and therefore have no cause for fear. When the soul is innocent, it may rest in perfect peace, even when the storm of care beats hardest. I hear you crying for peace, and I would whisper to you that peace which comes not from a smooth path, but from a quiet heart. Mark you, "'To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.'" If you have laboured with diligence and integrity, then leave the issue with Him. That which you cannot control, entrust to the Everlasting Arms. "'When obstacles and trials seem like prison walls to be, I do the little I can do, and leave the rest to Thee.'"

It is well that you pray for your bosses and for the one at that company. Our God hears prayer, and one of the surest tokens that mercy is about to be received is the groan of a pleading heart. He has said, "'They shall be as though I had not cast them aside: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.'" He can turn the wheels of business as readily as He turns the channels of the deep, and what seems now a loss may yet be doubled back into your bosom. Even now He is your shelter. When the yoke of bondage pressed Israel, they cried unto the Lord, and He heard them. Cast this burden upon Him, for underneath are the everlasting arms.

Be not quick to fear blame. The path of the just is as the shining light, which shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Diligence and skill are a crown that men cannot easily snatch away. Let your work be such that it speaks for itself; then, even if tongues wag, the truth will outlast the slander. "'In all this,' said of holy Job, 'he sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.' That is the chief thing. If you would provide for your family and obtain a house, you do well to seek increase, but set not your heart upon the fleeting things of time. Earthly glory is but a fading flower; rather lay hold on that fresh oil of grace which renews the soul and makes the countenance shine with a content that all the wealth of worlds cannot buy."

You desire to be seen as good at your work. That is lawful, for a candle is set upon a candlestick to give light. But remember, you serve a generous Master, and His Law is higher than the world's. "'Freely you have received, freely give.'" Do all as unto the Lord, and He will accept both you and your labour with His sweet savour. The deal may yet be mended, and your diligence rewarded; but even if not, rest in this, the Lord Himself is your portion, and no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. Go calmly to your bed, and let the peace of God which passeth all understanding keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your heart is troubled over the loss of this deal, and over the fear of blame, and over the desire to provide and be seen as skilled. But consider: where is your peace? Not in the success of a transaction, nor in the opinion of your masters, nor in the acquiring of a house, however good those things may be. The peace which surpasses all understanding is the fruit of a good conscience and a life set upon virtue, not upon circumstances. You say you did nothing wrong; then stand on that with thanksgiving, not with anxiety. Let the peace of God be the umpire in your heart, deciding every thought, and do not let the restless eagerness for an earthly prize rob you of that calm.

When the Sabbath was broken to heal a man, our Lord showed that mercy and right are higher than rigid custom. So if a deal crumbles which you did not break by sin, do not fear the judgment of men. Do your work with excellence, yes, and provide for your family honestly, but make not provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts. To desire a house and success is natural, but if these become a furnace of care, you have begun to serve mammon. The things of this world are a dream; men grow rich and poor in a dream. Seek first the kingdom of God, and you will find that even if you are clothed in rags and struggling, a clear conscience makes you happier than kings who dine sumptuously but are weighed down by guilt.

Pray for your bosses, that their hearts may be softened, but also pray that your own heart may be so fixed on Christ that their praise or blame does not shake you. The peace God gives makes us one body; be at peace within, and you will be a peacemaker among your coworkers, not adding to the disturbance. If you truly desire your coworkers' good, do not let the fear of blame sour into resentment toward them. That is the devil's work. Instead, give thanks in all things, even this disappointment, knowing that God may be teaching you patience and trust. The Lord who feeds the ravens and clothes the lilies sees your need; He will not abandon you if you hold fast to holiness and peace. Be comforted.

I know the weight of what you are carrying right now. When a deal that matters to so many falls apart, even though you did nothing wrong, the enemy rushes in with anxiety and a dread of being blamed. But hear this: the work of righteousness is peace. You have acted with integrity, and the effect of that righteousness is quietness and assurance forever. So you can stand in a calm place today, not because everything is resolved, but because your heart knows you have been upright. Let that steady you.

It is good that you are praying for peace and for God to touch the hearts of your bosses and that CFO. But remember that peace comes in two ways. There is peace with God, which is yours right now through Jesus Christ. There is no condemnation for you, and you are no longer a stranger trying to earn His favor. Yet there is also the peace of God, a deep stillness that rules your heart even when circumstances swirl. Many believers have that first peace but not the second, because they live under a work relationship with God, striving and never resting. But Christ has finished the work. He is your peace. Receive that peace today, not after the deal closes. Let His rest take root in you now.

Sometimes God allows what looks like a collapse to prepare something better. Think of the story of Ruth and Boaz. Against the black backdrop of the judges, God was quietly weaving a family and a future that no one could see. Ruth could not have imagined the kinsman redeemer waiting at the barley harvest. In the same way, your disappointment may be the beginning of a harvest you do not yet perceive. God is at work even when every sign says otherwise. He has a long-range plan, and it is not frustrated by a fallen deal. Joseph could have given up in the prison, but he stayed faithful, and what man meant for harm, God designed for good. Your part is not to force the outcome, but to trust Him and continue doing excellent work.

That brings me to your desire to keep getting better at your job, to provide for your family, and to have a home. These are worthy goals. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. When you live in that reverent awe of who God is, you build your life on the sum total of knowledge. He will give you the skill and favor you need. Pray and work, but do not carry the burden as if it all depends on you. His resources are now yours, strength, wisdom, the ability to add up the columns even when the pressure is on. And when you feel the need to impress your bosses, step back and remember that God is your defender. He wants to take care of you. Do your work as unto Him, and leave your reputation in His hands.

In the meantime, do not let fear of blame drive you to panic. Jacob faced Esau with terror, and he reminded God of His own promise: “You told me to return and You would deal well with me.” You may not have an explicit word for a Monday turnaround, but you have every promise that God works for the good of those who love Him. Pour out your request, then rest. The Lord may soften hearts in ways you cannot imagine. Even if Monday does not bring the resolution you crave, He is still writing a story of provision and faithfulness for you and your family. Wait on Him with that quiet assurance. He has never failed to shepherd His children home.
