We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation at work. The disappointment of a deal falling through is real, and the weight of responsibility, both for yourself and your coworker, can feel overwhelming. But we take comfort in knowing that the Lord sees every detail, and He is sovereign over every outcome. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
First, we rebuke the spirit of fear and blame that may try to take root in this situation. You did nothing wrong, and we declare that God’s truth will prevail over any false accusations or misunderstandings. The enemy would love to use this moment to sow division, discouragement, or insecurity, but we stand on God’s promise in Isaiah 54:17: "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord.
We pray now for your bosses and the CFO at . Father, soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of this situation. Give them wisdom to see the value in completing this deal and the discernment to recognize the hard work and integrity you bring to your job. We ask that You would go before them, removing any obstacles or hesitations, and align their decisions with Your will. Let them see your dedication, Lord, and let this moment be an opportunity for them to witness your faithfulness in action.
We also lift up your coworker who was relying on this deal. Father, comfort them in their disappointment and remind them that You are their provider. Help them to trust in You, even when things don’t go as planned. We pray that this situation would draw them closer to You and that they would see Your hand at work in their lives.
For you, we ask for peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard your heart from anxiety or self-doubt. You are growing in your role, and we declare that your skills and dedication will continue to flourish. The Lord has a plan for your career, your family, and your future. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says the Lord, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We pray that you would continue to grow in excellence, that your bosses would recognize your contributions, and that God would open doors for provision, whether that’s through this deal or another opportunity.
We also want to encourage you to keep your focus on the Lord in all of this. It’s easy to become consumed with work, especially when there’s so much at stake, but we are called to seek first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33). Trust that as you honor Him in your work, He will honor you. And remember, your worth is not defined by this deal or any earthly success, it is found in Christ alone.
Finally, we rebuke any spirit of pride or self-reliance that may try to creep in. It’s good to want to do well and provide for your family, but we must always remember that every good gift comes from the Lord (James 1:17). Stay humble, stay faithful, and keep your eyes on Him.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28), even when we can’t see it yet. Strengthen our brother in this time, give him peace, and let Your will be done in this situation. May Your name be glorified, and may Your people be blessed. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
