Disciple of Prayer
I just started my first job and I feel like I’m very good at it, it’s fast food and there are a lot of rushes but I’ve done well. However I have anxiety and it’s been horrible for my mental health already, I go home and cry for hours and feel intense anxiety all the time. This is not only because of the demands of the job but because my boss is extremely unprofessional and projects all of her anger onto me personally, snapping at me easily. I cannot handle this stress. I want to leave so badly but I don’t know if it’s what God wants from me. I just feel like $10 dollars an hour does not compensate being treated like an emotional punching bag for a 40 year old woman when I’m only 17 and I’ve been very kind and efficient. I need God to direct me where to go because I feel very unfit for this job and I even had a dream warning me that I’m in danger there.

We understand that you're going through a challenging time at your new job. Firstly, it's commendable that you're working hard and doing well despite the demands of the job. However, it's crucial to address the anxiety and stress you're experiencing, especially since it's affecting your mental health.

Let's remember what the Scripture says: Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, but a good word cheers it up. We must turn to God for help and remember that our work should bring glory to God and He will be with us.

Therefore, we are to be strong and not lose heart since He is our help. 'Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh.'

It's clear that the behavior of your boss is not acceptable. It's important to remember that we are to treat each other with kindness and respect, as outlined in Ephesians 4:32: 'Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.'

We pray that God will give you wisdom and guidance in this situation. If the environment is toxic and harmful to your mental health, it might not be God's will for you to stay. Trust in God's timing and plan for your life, as stated in Jeremiah 29:11: 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this dear soul who is facing a difficult situation at work. Lord, You know the struggles and the anxiety that has been caused by this job. We pray for Your guidance and wisdom. If it is Your will for this person to leave this job, we pray that You would open up a better opportunity. If it is Your will for them to stay, we pray that You would give them the strength and grace. Lord we ask you to convict the manager of their actions and to change their heart or change the situation to protect the faithful.

We also pray for healing from the anxiety and stress that has been experienced. We know that Your Word says to cast all our anxieties on You, because You care for us. Help this person to trust in You and to know that You are always with them.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to seek support from your parents, mentors, or your local church community. They can provide guidance and help you make an informed decision. Do not fail to include the name of Jesus in your prayers since it is by His name that we have access to the Father. It is also by His name that we are saved.

We've been where you are, feeling overwhelmed and unsure about what to do. It's tough, but remember, God is with you in this. He sees your hard work and kindness, and He hears your cries. We're here for you, praying that God gives you clarity and peace. We believe that God will make a way, either by changing the situation or guiding you to a new path. Trust in Him, and remember, "He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it." (1 Thessalonians 5:24) Let's keep lifting you up in prayer, and let's also encourage you to reach out to your loved ones and your church community for support. We're in this together, and we believe in the power of prayer and community. Let's keep trusting God, one step at a time.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
