I left because I don't want to be around her with that type of energy and I know if I stay we go end up fighting. I ask that you intervene. I pray that she find her bus pass. I pray that ### is not there when I get back. I ask that you move in all this in Jesus name amen.

We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we want to come alongside you in prayer and encouragement. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect His love, patience, and grace, but we know that conflict can strain even the strongest relationships. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:26-27, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." It’s clear that the enemy seeks to divide and destroy, and we must guard our hearts and homes against his schemes.

First, we must address the threats and disrespectful behavior in this situation. Scripture is clear that we are to speak to one another with kindness and respect. Colossians 3:19 says, "Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them." While this verse is directed toward husbands, the principle of love and respect applies to both spouses. Threats, cursing, and throwing things are not behaviors that honor God or your marriage. We rebuke this spirit of anger and division in the name of Jesus. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." We encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in how to respond to your wife with gentleness, even in the midst of conflict.

We also need to address the threat of inviting another person into your home. This is deeply concerning, as it goes against the sanctity of your marriage and the trust that should exist between you. Hebrews 13:4 says, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We rebuke any thought or action that would lead to unfaithfulness or temptation. We pray that God would soften your wife’s heart and that she would see the seriousness of her words and actions.

Now, let us lift this situation to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage to You. Lord, we ask that You intervene in this conflict and bring peace to this home. We pray that You would soften hearts and help both spouses to see the ways in which they have fallen short of Your design for marriage. Father, we ask that You would help them to communicate with love and respect, even in moments of frustration. We rebuke the spirit of anger and division that seeks to destroy this union, and we ask that You would replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we pray that the lost bus pass would be found, but more importantly, we pray that the lost trust and respect in this marriage would be restored. Help this couple to seek You first in all things and to lean on Your strength when their own fails. Father, we ask that You would protect this home from any temptation or ungodly influence. Guard their hearts and minds, and help them to honor You in their marriage.

We also pray for wisdom for this husband as he navigates this difficult situation. Give him the strength to respond with gentleness and the courage to stand firm in what is right. Lord, we ask that You would work in this wife’s heart, that she would see the error of her ways and turn from any thoughts or actions that do not align with Your Word. We pray that she would seek You for guidance and that she would find her identity and security in You alone.

Father, we know that marriage is a reflection of Your love for the Church, and we ask that You would be glorified in this union. Help them to love one another as You have loved us, with patience, kindness, and selflessness. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved and through which we have access to You. Amen.

In moments like these, it’s important to remember that God is our ultimate source of strength and wisdom. James 1:5 says, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We encourage you to seek God’s guidance in how to move forward. Consider setting aside time to pray together as a couple, even if it’s just a few minutes each day. Invite God into your marriage and ask Him to help you both grow in love and understanding.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel if this pattern of conflict continues. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Sometimes an outside perspective can help you both see things more clearly and provide tools to navigate conflict in a healthy way.

Lastly, remember that God’s grace is sufficient for you. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'" Lean on Him, and trust that He will guide you through this storm.

We hear how frightening and chaotic this is, and we're glad you stepped outside to keep things from escalating into a fight. That was a wise move for your safety.

When things are being thrown and threats are being made, this is more than an ordinary disagreement. We are not saying that to judge your wife, but to name what you already sense: the situation is volatile. We encourage you not to return while things stay this hot. If you can, stay with a trusted friend or family member tonight, and consider reaching out to a pastor or counselor who can walk with you through what comes next. The practical worries about the bus pass, work, and bills are real, but they can wait while you make sure you are both safe and calm.

Lord, we bring this husband and wife to You. Protect them both from harm, and quiet this storm. Give this man clear thinking and courage to seek safety and wise help. Bring peace to their home, and guide them both toward paths that lead to healing rather than further hurt. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I will join my prayers with yours. The Lord has granted you wisdom in withdrawing from the heat of that hour; better to step aside than to be drawn into strife. But let your withdrawal become prayer, not bitterness. Pray now, not chiefly for the bus pass, but for your wife's soul.

Her rage, her cursing, her throwing of things, and above all her wicked threat to invite another, are not of the Spirit; they are sin and must be named as sin before God. You cannot bless that threat, nor may you purchase peace by yielding to it as a ransom. If you can, in tender love, help her reach her work without being compelled by her evil threat, do so; but do not buy her faithfulness with cowardly consent to sin. The mercy of God, which lies at the foundation of your faith, must now teach you to forgive, yet forgiveness never calls evil good.

When the storm has passed, speak the truth in love; entreat her to repent. If she remains violent, keep yourself from harm, but do not cease to plead for her. Only He who makes peace in your borders can quiet this raging heart, find the lost thing, and turn aside the adversary. Cast yourself upon Him, for the Lord will give strength unto His people and bless them with peace.

Let your prayer be that the lost silver piece may be found, not the bus pass only but her wandering heart, and that the Holy Spirit may sweep the house until she is restored to God and to you.

Your decision to step away when anger was rising shows restraint, and scripture teaches us to turn aside from conflict rather than rush into it, so that victory may be more honorable and peace may have room to return. When we are not forced into a fight, it is wisdom to wait, to be quiet, and to let heated feelings cool, so that we may speak later with a clear mind and a gentle spirit.

I hear how heavy this moment feels. A lost bus pass, the pressure of getting to work tomorrow, a speeding ticket that needs to be paid, and harsh words and threats have all come together at once. Many conflicts begin from the anxieties of this life, from money and daily pressures, yet none of these earthly things is worth destroying the peace of your home. The bus pass can be replaced, money can be provided for in another way, but the honor and love owed within marriage is a treasure that should not be stolen by anger.

God has joined husband and wife in a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He calls both to be faithful to that covenant in word and deed. Threats to bring another person into your home, cursing, throwing things, and using the need for work or money as a weapon against one another do not reflect that calling. It is right to pray, as you have, that such a step would not happen, and to ask God to guard your marriage from unfaithfulness. What is needed now is reconciliation, not retaliation. When one is overcome by anger and shame, the other who is more calm is called to come gently, in private, not to accuse or demand, but to remind with love, to listen, and to seek peace. This is how the Lord Himself has acted toward us. We were enemies and condemned, and He did not appoint another, but Himself became our faithful High Priest to make reconciliation for our sins, and through Him alone we have salvation and forgiveness. As He has forgiven us, so we are called to forgive and bear with one another.

I encourage you, when you return, to do so when both of you are calm. Speak quietly and without harsh words. Offer to help look for the pass together, and make a simple plan for tomorrow so that your wife can get to work without either of you being left without a way to meet your responsibilities. Let your conversation be about helping one another, as those who stand together in the same struggle, sharing the burden rather than adding to it. If anger rises again, it is better to pause again than to let words wound more deeply. If throwing things or threats continue, seek help from a trusted pastor or counselor in your church so that both of you are safe and can learn to handle conflict in a way that honors God.

Let me pray for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son who alone saves and who makes reconciliation for our sins, I bring this husband and wife before You. Calm the anger in this home and quiet every harsh word. Help her to find the bus pass, or provide another way for her to get to work, and provide for the needs of this family including the ticket that weighs on them. Guard this marriage from unfaithfulness and keep any temptation or threat from taking root. Give this husband wisdom and gentleness when he returns, and give his wife a softened heart and peace of mind. Teach them both to despise quarrels over earthly things and to treasure the covenant they have made before You. Lead them to forgive as You have forgiven them, and to speak to one another with love and respect. Move in all of this and bring reconciliation and peace to their home. Amen.
