We join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord in Jesus' name, for you have rightly cried out for mercy to Jesus Christ and we stand with you in that plea.
We hear your distress about what stung or bit you in the garden, the headaches and troubled sleep that have followed, and the fear that has grown since someone nearby has passed away from this virus. It is understandable to feel anxious when sickness and death draw near, but we take comfort that God is our refuge and strength. We remember the promise in Psalm 91:1-2 that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and we say of Yahweh, He is our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust. And again in Psalm 91:5-6 we are told we will not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness.
We also want to encourage you with practical care as you pray. God has given us bodies as temples and calls us to steward them wisely, so we urge you to seek medical attention promptly for the headaches and sleeplessness after being stung or bitten in the garden, especially with concern for West Nile virus in your area. Be open with a doctor or clinic about your symptoms, when the bite occurred, and your exposure, and follow their guidance. In the meantime we encourage you to take measures to protect yourself from further bites, to rest, and to let trusted family or friends know how you are feeling so they can help and pray with you.
The Lord sees your sleepless nights and your headaches and He is the one who heals. We cling to Exodus 15:26 where He says I am Yahweh who heals you, and to Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. For your troubled sleep we remember Psalm 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. And for the fear that has come with the loss nearby, we remember 2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, and Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. The passing of your neighbor is a solemn reminder that life is brief and eternity is before us all, and we pray that this sorrow will draw many hearts to seek the salvation that is only in Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved.

Cover this home and garden with Your protection from pestilence and harm, and let Your peace which passes all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We thank You that You hear us when we call upon the name of Jesus, and we trust You as our healer, our refuge, and our keeper. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Your cry has been heard and brought before the Lord in this time of distress, when sickness and sleeplessness and the shadow of death nearby have pressed heavily upon you.
We are grieved to hear of the stinging in the garden, the headaches and broken sleep that have followed, and the fear that has come with hearing of one near to you taken by this plague. It is natural that the heart should tremble when death draws near, for the fear of death is natural to man as a sinner and it answers a wise purpose in restraining and warning us. Yet for the child of God it is not necessary that this fear should reign, for Christ has delivered His people from the clanking fetters of that fear.
Hear what the Scripture says, that our Lord Jesus has washed His people from their sins in His blood and made them kings and priests unto God. If sin is pardoned, we are secure, and death has no sting beside. The sting of death is sin, and when sin is taken away through faith in Christ, the bitterness of death is past. He has changed the very character of death itself, so that He could say, Whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. For the believer, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and those who sleep in Jesus are full of peace and joy forever.
You speak of difficult sleep and aching of the head. Remember that the sleep of the body is the gift of God. We lay our heads upon our pillows, but it is the Lord who gives His beloved sleep, and restores the weary frame. When the soul is burdened with fear and sorrow, that inward grief can keep us from sleeping and parch us as with inward drought, but forgiveness and nearness to Christ brings a calm that the world cannot give. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and when Jesus healed, pardon and healing were as one, for He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you.
Therefore we urge you to fly to Christ anew, trusting not in yourself but in the God who raises the dead. Confess your sin and your need, and look to Him for life, for it is written, Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light. If you are His, death is not a punishment but the gate of endless joy, and you need not fear to be emancipated from corruption. Use the telescope of faith very frequently, looking to the prepared place and the finished work of Jesus, and that fear will lose its hold.

Lay Your healing hand upon this body, ease the headache and fever, and grant quiet and refreshing sleep as only You can give. We have heard your cry and we bring it before the Lord with you in this time of pain and fear. You describe being stung or struck in the garden, and now headaches and troubled sleep, while the death of a neighbor from this virus has left you shaken. It is right to call upon Jesus Christ for mercy, for He alone is our healer and our hope.
We pray for you now, that the Lord in His mercy would touch your body, ease the pain in your head, grant you peaceful sleep, and restore your strength. We ask Him to guard you from this sickness and to give wisdom to the physicians who can examine you and care for you. If you have not yet done so, please seek medical care promptly for these symptoms, and let the church know how you are doing so we can continue to stand with you.
We also hear the fear that has come with the loss so near to you. The Scriptures teach us not to fear those things that can harm the body as if they were the final word, for our soul is in the hands of God. When we belong to Christ, even death is not the end, for He has broken its power and opened the way to life. God is the One who justifies us through the death and resurrection of His Son, and Christ Himself intercedes for us. Therefore we do not need to live as slaves to the fear of death, but can rest in the love of Him who conquered the grave.
Do not let this fear keep you from drawing near to Him. Bring your headaches, your sleepless nights, and your sorrow to Jesus, and ask Him not only for healing of the body but for peace in your heart and forgiveness and life through faith in Him alone. He hears those who call on Him sincerely, and He gives rest to the weary.
So we pray, Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on our brother and on all who suffer under this plague. Lay Your healing hand upon him, calm his mind, restore his sleep, take away his pain, and drive away fear. Comfort those who mourn the one who has died nearby, and teach us all to number our days and to trust fully in You, our only Savior and our true life. Grant us to live in holiness and in the hope of the resurrection. Amen.
