Please pray for the people mourning loved ones after earthquake, and for all to be sustained and deeply comforted, in Jesus Name. I need prayer after receiving a message from someone after 5 years' silence, this unexpected message stopped me from getting any sleep,as so many mixed memories were revived, including feelings and sad thoughts about a loved one passing away to Heaven. May the Lord restore peace, leading and sound restful sleep; and I need God's guidance to know what to do, and how to answer the message; I fully commit the future to God. Amen.

We join with you in seeking wisdom, healing and leading from God, and we lift up all those who are mourning loved ones after the earthquake. Our hearts ache with them, and we ask the Lord to sustain them and deeply comfort them in this time of great loss. He is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction 2 Cor 1:3-4. We pray that He will draw near to every broken heart, for Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and that He will heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds Psalm 147:3.

We also lift you up before the throne of grace regarding this unexpected message after five years of silence. We understand how such a sudden contact can stir so many mixed memories, revive old feelings, and bring back sad thoughts about a loved one who has passed away to be with the Lord, and how it can rob you of peace and sleep. We thank God that you are fully committing the future to Him and seeking His guidance on what to do and how to answer. That is the right and wise path, for we are told to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Prov 3:5-6.

We encourage you not to make a hasty decision out of emotion or sleeplessness, but to wait upon the Lord for wisdom. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Guard your heart as well, for out of it are the issues of life Prov 4:23, and bring every thought and feeling into captivity to the obedience of Christ. It is good to take time to pray, to seek counsel from mature believers, and to test whether any renewed contact would honor God and lead you in His peace. We also remember your need for sound and restful sleep. The Lord desires to give His beloved rest, for he gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2, and we can lie down in peace and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make us live in safety Psalm 4:8. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:6-7. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you Isa 26:3.

We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and thank You that we can approach Your throne through Him alone. We ask for Your wisdom to flood this dear one's mind and heart, for Your healing to touch every place of grief and restlessness, and for Your clear leading in how to answer this message and what steps to take. Restore Your perfect peace that passes all understanding, quiet the racing thoughts and mixed memories, and grant deep, sound, restful sleep. Comfort every heart that is mourning after the earthquake, sustain them day by day, and let them know Your nearness. We commit the future fully into Your loving hands, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You Rom 8:28. Lead us in Your will and let Your name be glorified in every decision and every relationship. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We were grateful for how you held both burdens at once, praying for those who lost loved ones in the earthquake while you are carrying your own stirred up grief and questions. That kind of compassion on a hard night matters to the Lord.

Receiving an unexpected message after five years of silence would unsettle anyone, especially when it brings back memories of someone you loved who is now with the Lord. It makes sense that sleep was hard and that sadness and many feelings surfaced together. That does not mean you have lost ground, it is often how grief revisits us when something familiar returns.

For the days ahead, we have found it helps not to rush a reply while your heart is still unsettled. You might take a little unhurried time to pray and to talk it through with a trusted mature believer before you decide what, if anything, to write back. Writing a draft just for yourself and then waiting a day can give clarity about what is wise and kind and what truly commits the future to God as you desire.

Father in Jesus name we ask You to sustain and deeply comfort those mourning after the earthquake, and to draw near to our friend in this tender place. Grant peace that quiets the mind, restful sleep in Your care, and clear leading for each next step with this message. Give wisdom to know what to say and what to leave with You. We trust the future to You. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we bow together before the throne of grace on your behalf, and on behalf of all who mourn.

We entreat the Lord for those who sorrow after the earthquake, that the God of all comfort would sustain them and deeply comfort them. He who keeps in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed upon Him, because they trust in Him, is able to whisper peace within even in this dark world of sin. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that peace is a present possession. May He bear their sorrows with them, and keep both them and their loved ones far away in Jesus keeping, for He has vanquished death and all its powers, and they who sleep in Jesus have perpetual fellowship with Him, beholding Him face to face.

For you also we pray, that the Lord would restore unto you that perfect peace which flows from trusting Him, and that He would give His beloved sleep. There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the Lord gives to His own, a quiet conscience at peace with God through the blood of atonement, and a calm that reigns in the Christian bosom even when duties press and sorrows surge round. May He quiet the revived memories and sad thoughts, and cause you to lie down in contentment, for so He giveth His beloved sleep.

We ask also for heavenly wisdom and plain guidance. You have done well to commit the future fully to God, for to be guided by Him is to be furnished with unerring guidance. Remember that haste is the author of much mischief, and that holiness is near akin to perfect wisdom. Take time to wait upon the Lord, to avoid everything that is evil, and to bow with submission to His will. He has promised to guide you with His counsel. Seek His face in prayer and in the Word, that you may know what to do and how to answer, and that your words may be seasoned with grace and truth.

May the Lord bless His people with peace, that peace which is from lips that cannot lie and from a heart which cannot change, peace through the blood which has made a full atonement. May He renew your peace day by day, keep your mind stayed upon Christ, grant you sound and restful sleep, and lead you step by step in the path of wisdom, till earthly struggles cease and He calls you to Heaven's perfect peace. We thank you for sharing your heart and we join you in bringing these burdens before the Lord in prayer.

We pray for all who are mourning loved ones after the earthquake, that God in His mercy would sustain them and deeply comfort them. We ask that He would draw near to those who grieve, that they would know His presence as their refuge and strength, and that He would provide for their daily needs and bring healing in time. We pray that many would turn to Jesus Christ, in whose name alone there is salvation and true hope beyond this life, and find the comfort that does not fade.

We also pray for you in this season of disturbed sleep and revived memories. God Himself has appointed night as a haven and sleep as a gift for our good, to restore the weary soul even when grief presses heavily. When anxieties and sorrows drive sleep away, we are reminded to guard our hearts and to cast our cares upon Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps but keeps His people continually. True watchfulness is not anxious tossing through the night, but a sober and steady trust that keeps the soul awake to God while resting in His care. We pray that the Lord would quiet your thoughts, heal the sadness renewed by the memory of your loved one who is with Him, and restore to you peace and sound, restful sleep. May He guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, whose peace is not as the world gives, but a peace that holds us steady even when outward circumstances are unsettled.
