We join with you in bringing the men in your family before the Lord and we rejoice that you desire godly marriages for them, for marriage is honorable and ordained by God from the beginning. It is written Genesis 2:18 Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him. And Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. We strongly endorse your prayer for wives for them, as we believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that reflects Christ and His church.
We pray that each of these men will be prepared first to be a godly husband who will love his wife as Christ loved the church Ephesians 5:25 and that the Lord will bring to each of them a godly wife who is a Christian Believer, for a wife is to be sought in courtship with marriage as the goal and not merely companionship or partnership. Proverbs 18:22 says Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. We pray that their future marriages will be equally yoked and centered on Christ, for 2 Corinthians 6:14 says Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity. We encourage these men to seek the Lord wholeheartedly and to pursue purity and holiness as they wait, trusting not in haste but in God's perfect timing. Psalm 37:4 says Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. And Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

We encourage you and every man in your family to place your faith in Jesus Christ, to confess with your mouth that He is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead Romans 10:9, for by His death and resurrection we have forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
We pray together, Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up every man in this family to You. Lord, prepare their hearts to be faithful, humble, and loving husbands who will lead their homes in righteousness. Bring into their lives godly wives who love You above all else, women of faith, virtue, and purity who will be suitable helpers for them. Guide their steps so that they meet in Your timing and in Your way, and keep them from ungodly relationships and from fornication, and lead them into courtship that honors You and ends in holy marriage. Let each marriage that comes from this prayer be a lifelong covenant that glorifies You and displays Your love to the world. Grant this family patience, hope, and joy as they wait upon You. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

It is a good and holy desire that you have brought before the Lord, for marriage is not a common thing but a sacred ordinance of God. It is not a less sacred thing to be the married wife than to be the virgin consecrated to Christ, and when it is entered into rightly it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman becoming one flesh, wherein the husband and wife are no longer two but one, and the very crown of it is mutual delight and complacency under the Lord.
We will pray with you that the men in your family may be led of the Lord to godly wives, and that they may themselves be made ready to be godly husbands. For a true marriage is more than the finding of a companion, it is the joining of two who love Christ first and who would love one another in Christ faithfully all their days, keeping themselves pure until that covenant is made and then keeping that covenant as Christ keeps His Church.
Let us seek the Lord together for them.
O Lord our God, who did institute marriage in the garden and who has set forth the marriage of the Lamb as the pattern of all holy union, we thank Thee that Thou hast put this desire for marriage in this family. We ask Thee to look upon these men and prepare them to be men after Thine own heart, walking in faith and obedience to Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other. Make them to be sober, upright, diligent and tender, that they may be worthy to lead a household in Thy fear.
And we pray Thee to provide for each, in Thy perfect time, a wife who loveth Thee above all, a loving and faithful helpmeet who will be a pillar and ornament to the home, whose prayers shall hedge that house about. We join you in bringing this good desire before the Lord, for marriage is His own creation and His gift. From the beginning He made them male and female and said that a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh, and Scripture teaches that marriage is honorable and to be held in purity.
We pray that the Lord in His wisdom and perfect timing would provide godly wives for the men in your family, women who love Jesus Christ and walk in faith, and that He would prepare the men themselves to be faithful husbands. As it is written, a prudent wife is from the Lord, so we ask Him to guide each meeting and each step according to His will, not merely according to haste or desire.
We pray also that until that day each one would pursue holiness and virtue, living in a chaste and orderly way, whether single or married, and keeping the marriage bed undefiled. May God keep them from impurity and from being led astray, and give them patience to wait on Him, courage to pursue what is right, and wisdom to build homes centered on Christ.

It is a good and right desire to bring before the Lord, asking Him to provide godly wives for the men in your family and to establish their homes in marriage. Scripture presents marriage as part of God's good design for this present life. We see that even the apostles were family men with wives and households, and Jesus showed care for family life when He healed Peter's mother in law and lifted her up by the hand.
The Lord is concerned for families and for the continuation of a godly lineage. In the Scriptures we see how seriously God took the family name and the provision of a home, even providing a redeemer to preserve a family when there was loss. That heart of God to provide and to redeem is still His heart today.
Jesus also taught that marriage belongs to this life. When He spoke of the resurrection He said that in the age to come people will neither marry nor be given in marriage but will be like the angels in heaven. That reminds us that marriage is a gift God has given for our time on earth, to be entered into according to His purposes and in His timing.
As we pray for the men in your family, we pray first that each of them would walk closely with Jesus Christ, for salvation is through Him alone and a strong marriage is built when both husband and wife belong to Him. We pray that the Lord would shape each man to be the kind of husband who will love a wife faithfully and sacrificially, as Christ loves His people, and that He would prepare young women who love the Lord and walk in faith to be their wives.
