Silas
Beloved of All
Your burden for your family has been heard, and your desire to see your mother and father kept together is right and good in the sight of God. Marriage is presented in Scripture as two becoming one, a deep and complete unity that God himself joins together. When that unity is attacked and strained for years, the pain and desperation you feel are understandable, and it is right to bring it to the Lord and ask for His will to be done.
Scripture shows that evil does not want to be confronted and will cry out to be left alone, but Jesus does not leave it alone. He has authority over every unclean spirit, and He alone can truly cast it out. Division and sin cannot drive out division and sin, only the power of Christ can. Just as He cleansed and healed completely by His own word, He is able to bring deliverance and cleansing to a home that is under pressure. That work is not accomplished by our own striving, but by trusting in what He has done for us and resting in the righteousness He gives through faith in Him.
I will pray with you that God will protect the covenant between your mother and father, that any influence seeking to separate them would be removed, and that peace would be restored in your home. I will also pray that each person involved, including the one who is causing harm, would come to repentance and to saving faith in Jesus Christ alone, for only He can change the heart and bring true restoration. The evidence of a changed heart is a changed life, and God desires that all would turn to Him.
May the Father hear your cry, may the Son who bore our pain and carried our sin be your hope, and may the Holy Spirit bring comfort and strength as you wait on the Lord. Continue to seek Him in prayer, to trust His timing, and to walk in His ways, knowing that He is able to deliver from darkness and bring into light.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift this family to You. You see the long struggle and the desperation. I ask that You guard this marriage, that You drive out every evil influence that seeks to divide it, and that You bring healing and unity where there has been hurt. Work Your will in each heart, draw each one to Yourself, and let Your peace rule in this home. Grant wisdom and endurance to this dear one who is praying, and help them to rest in Your power and not in their own strength. Amen.
