Beloved of All
Your cry for help has been heard and brought before the Lord with care and prayer. Your desire is good, that where you are and what you do would be a true testimony through both works and words, that God would be present among His people, and that privacy and dignity would be respected while you and your mother are able to take part freely without harmful questioning or pressure.
We pray for you and for your mother in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father. We ask that God would give you wisdom and strength to live in a way that builds up your neighbor, for He gave us mouths and words not to tear down but to build up. May your lives speak clearly by quiet faithfulness and by kind speech that edifies those who hear.
We also pray for your mother with special honor. Scripture shows us how Christ Himself, even in His suffering, entrusted His mother to the care of the beloved disciple, teaching us to show more than ordinary respect to our mothers because they have borne so much for us. We ask God to provide for her protection and peace, and to make a way, if it is His will, for her to be helped and to be removed from nearness to those who do evil, so that she may dwell in safety and quietness. Where there is conflict, we pray that you may be peacemakers, for the Lord blesses those who seek peace and turn away from remembering evil.
We ask the Lord to keep you both as members one of another with His people, so that the welfare of each strengthens the whole, and to guard your home from harm and from the influence of those who would lead into wrong. May He grant you discernment to avoid gossip and slander, to keep silence where silence protects, and to speak only what is helpful for building others up. May He also grant you mercy as you show mercy to others, and keep you in works that are worthy of His blessing.
