Witchcraft

Disciple of Prayer
My ### has told me that witchcraft has been performed on me in a witchdoctor's shrine in ### against my job, marriage, and they me to either knock some one dead with a motorcycle or I myself die in an accident

We hear your deep distress and fear, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of God, who alone has power over all spiritual forces. The Bible is clear that witchcraft, sorcery, and all forms of occult practices are detestable to the Lord. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, it says, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." These practices are not only forbidden but are also powerless against those who are in Christ.

The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you may have life and have it abundantly. The threats you are facing, whether to harm someone else or to bring harm upon yourself, are not from God. They are lies from the father of lies (John 8:44), designed to bring fear, confusion, and destruction. We rebuke these spirits of witchcraft, fear, and death in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and no curse or spell can stand against a child of God who is covered by the blood of Jesus.

You must renounce any involvement or connection with witchcraft, whether knowingly or unknowingly. Confess any participation or curiosity in these practices, even if it was out of ignorance or desperation. In Acts 19:19, those who had practiced sorcery brought their books together and burned them publicly, showing their repentance and turning away from darkness. We encourage you to do the same, destroy any objects, charms, or items connected to these practices, and turn fully to Jesus.

The enemy wants you to believe that violence or death is the only way out, but that is a lie. God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You do not have to harm anyone or fear harm for yourself. Instead, submit yourself to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We also want to address the mention of your marriage and job. If there are struggles in these areas, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom and guidance. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness (Ephesians 5:22-33). If there are issues in your marriage, we pray for healing, restoration, and godly wisdom to navigate them. For your job, we pray that God will open doors of opportunity and provide for your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Most importantly, we must ask: Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? The name of Jesus is the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Jesus into your heart. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, and it is the only way to have true victory over the powers of darkness.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one to You, who is feeling trapped and threatened by the forces of darkness. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break every curse, spell, and assignment of witchcraft over their life, marriage, and job in the name of Jesus. We command every spirit of fear, death, and destruction to flee now and never return.

Father, we ask that You fill this one with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to resist the devil and the wisdom to walk in Your ways. We pray for protection over their life, their mind, and their heart. Surround them with Your angels to guard and keep them safe (Psalm 91:11). Lord, if there are areas of their life that need repentance or turning away from, reveal them and lead them into Your light.

We pray for their marriage, that You would heal any brokenness, restore love and trust, and help them to honor You in their relationship. For their job, we ask that You open doors of opportunity, provide favor, and meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Most of all, Lord, we pray that they would come to know You more deeply. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we ask that You draw them to Yourself. Let them experience Your love, grace, and salvation.

We thank You, Father, that You are greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We thank You that Jesus has already disarmed the powers and authorities of darkness (Colossians 2:15). We declare victory over this situation in the name of Jesus, and we trust You to bring about Your perfect will. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, to seek godly counsel, and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and support you. Do not give in to fear or desperation, but trust in the Lord, who is your deliverer and protector. If you have not yet given your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. He is the only way to true freedom and eternal life.

This is deeply unsettling to hear, and it’s no wonder your heart is heavy. When someone claims spiritual harm has been aimed at you, fear can rush in and try to take over. We’re so glad you reached out instead of carrying this alone.

We don’t know the full story behind what this person told you, but we do know something far more important: Jesus is Lord over every power and authority. That doesn’t mean the threat feels any less real in the moment, fear can be overwhelming. C. S. Lewis once wrote that the devil is equally pleased when we either ignore his schemes entirely or become consumed with an unhealthy fascination with them. So while we take spiritual opposition seriously, we also refuse to let it hijack our peace. Your safety, your livelihood, and your marriage matter to God, and He is not caught off guard.

A practical step you might consider is bringing this to a trusted pastor or spiritually mature believer in your life, someone who can pray with you face to face and help you process what’s going on. Sometimes having another person alongside you in the light of day makes the shadows feel far less powerful. If the person who told you this is someone you can limit contact with right now, that may also be wise, not out of panic, but simply to guard your own mind and heart from further fear-filled words.

In the meantime, let’s keep it simple: you don’t have to figure out all the spiritual dimensions of this yourself. Lean into the steady, everyday safety of belonging to Christ. He hasn’t abandoned you, and He never will.

Please join us as we pray:

Lord Jesus, our brother/sister is afraid, and we ask You to calm that storm right now. You are the victor over every dark scheme. We ask for Your mighty protection over their life, their marriage, and their work. Silence every lie spoken against them. Grant them Your peace that passes understanding, and surround them with wise believers who will stand with them. Let them sense Your nearness tonight. In Your powerful name, amen.

Fear not! Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us. The curse causeless shall not come; but if any curse be cast upon you without cause, it is as idle wind. He that has delivered us from the power of darkness will certainly help us in our daily troubles. Why should you fear them that kill the body? Fear not them which kill the body, but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell. You are hidden with Christ in God; your life is hid with Christ, and you are free from fear, having nothing to fear. All your interests are secure in Him. When Shimei cursed David, David said, So let him curse, for the Lord hath bidden him. So, if wicked men or devils pronounce curses upon you, remember that they can do nothing except it be given them from above.

Draw near to the mercy-seat. If you forsake the throne, then you may indeed fear; but when the Spirit draws you to the mercy-seat, such fear must vanish, for God loves the mercy-seat better than you do. There, in the presence of Jesus, who was made a curse for us, all your dread shall flee away. He has found a ransom. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it, I have found a ransom. The Lamb was slain, and deliverance is come. You shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Let the wicked do their worst; the Lord brings forth His people with a high hand. He makes their deliverance effectual. Therefore, trust in the Lord, and fear not. We must not fear; for fear is weakening and dishonoring to God. He who spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Cast yourself upon your God in Christ, and since God has made you free, you are free indeed. Fear not, only believe.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The report of witchcraft performed against you is meant to fill your soul with dread, but remember: all power of every curse was destroyed when Christ hung upon the tree. The Law pronounced a curse on all who did not continue in its commands, and none could escape it. But Christ, being innocent and without deceit, took upon Himself another curse, the curse of one who hangs on a tree, to redeem us from the curse of the Law. So now, if you are in Christ by faith, no curse spoken in a witchdoctor’s shrine has any claim on you. The evil one and his instruments may roar, but they are proceeding against One who has already crushed them. You have been marked with the sign of the cross, not with their devices. Therefore, do not fear their threats about your job, your marriage, or even your life. They desire to shake you from the Rock, but the Rock stands.

Concerning your marriage, hold fast to peace and holiness. If your spouse is walking in darkness or has been ensnared by those who practice such evils, do not repay evil with evil, but with prayer and a chaste, respectful manner. Marriage is not unholy; it preserves the holiness of your faith by keeping you from defilement. A believing wife or husband is a great good, though the enemy often attacks through the closest bonds, just as he used Job’s wife to persuade him to curse God. You must not listen when whispered deceit counsels blasphemy or despair. Yet if that spouse should demand that you participate in ungodliness, sacrifice to idols, or share in these works of darkness, then you are not bound: it is better to preserve godliness than to compromise it. But so long as they are willing to dwell with you, remain, for your faith may be the means of their salvation. Do not let fear unravel what God has joined, nor let the enemy’s threats push you into hasty abandonment of your marriage.

As for the threat that you might strike someone dead with your motorcycle or perish in an accident, cast that terror from your mind. Such evils do not come from the hand of God to His children, but are shadows cast by the adversary to make you cower. Christ has delivered you from the curse and has given you the Spirit of adoption, so you are no longer a slave to fear of death. If God permits trial, He gives grace; but He does not give a spirit of timidity. Pray without ceasing, practice every good work, and keep yourself occupied with the service of the saints, and these vain terrors will find no lodging in your heart.

Do not be surprised that a member of your own household brought this message. The enemy often uses those near us to spread his poison, for evil communications corrupt good manners. Stand like Job: when dark counsel came from his own wife, he refused her counsel and held to integrity. Let your answer be like his: “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks.” Cling to the church, partake of the holy mysteries, and arm yourself with the sign of faith. Where grace is, there is remission; and where remission is, there is no punishment for you. The promise of God is firm, and no witchdoctor’s shrine can overturn it. Go in peace; the curse has been exchanged for a blessing, and you are an heir of that promise.

Such a message is meant to sow terror and divide your heart from trust in the Lord. It aims to make you believe that your life, your marriage, and your work are at the mercy of a witchdoctor and not in the hands of the living God. Do not give place to that fear. The Scriptures show us a man named Job who faced a sudden, overwhelming assault on everything he had. In a single day, his wealth, his servants, and even his children were destroyed. He had no explanation for it, only the crushing weight of loss. Later, his own health was taken, leaving him in such agony that his wife, out of her own despair, said to him, “Curse God and die.”

Yet Job did not curse God. He did not understand the deep reasons for his suffering, but he held on to what he knew to be true: that the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, and that His name is to be blessed. What Job could not see was that his trials were not a punishment for hidden sin, but a part of a larger contest in which Satan tried to prove that Job served God only for what he could get. God allowed the testing, but He set firm limits on it. Satan could not touch Job’s life without permission.

I tell you this because you are now hearing threats against your job, your marriage, and your very life. The enemy wants you to believe that a curse spoken in a shrine has more power than the blood of Jesus Christ and the sovereign will of God your Father. That is a lie. The evil one may rage, but he can only operate within the boundaries God allows. Your standing before God is not determined by the rituals of the darkness. If you belong to Jesus, you are kept by Him, and no weapon formed against you will ultimately prosper.

Job’s friends came to him with simple, false logic: they insisted that his suffering proved he must be a hypocrite who had secret sin. They urged him to just get right with God, as if his misery were a simple equation of cause and effect. But they were wrong. They spoke things that were not true about his character and about God’s ways. In the same way, you must reject the voice that says your destruction is inevitable. Those words of death, whether they come from a shrine or from your own fears, are not the final word over your life. God alone holds your breath in His hands.

It is natural to cry out in confusion and pain when the path goes dark. Job did. He longed for the grave, not because he hated God, but because he wanted the suffering to end. He wished for a mediator, someone who could lay his hand on both God and man and bridge the gap. We have that mediator in Jesus Christ. He understands our weakness, He has conquered every power of darkness, and He now intercedes for you. When you do not know how to pray, He prays for you. Run to Him, not away from Him. Do not let fear drive you to despair or to curse the day you were born. Instead, pour out your heart to God, even the confusion and the dread, and then rest in His character.

God is fair, and He is just. That is what Job held onto even when he could not feel it. That same truth is yours. Acquaint yourself with God, and be at peace. Lay up His words in your heart. When the shadows gather, do not look to the threats of the enemy for your reality; look to the promises of God. He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” That promise holds firm in the face of any curse, any accident, and any human scheme.

Commit your job, your marriage, and your life afresh into the Lord’s keeping. Pray with simple faith: “Father, I trust my spirit, my family, and my daily work to You alone. Cover us with the protection only You can give, and bring to nothing every scheme aimed at our destruction.” Then walk forward in that trust, not in the fear that has been sent to paralyze you. The day of the wicked will meet its end, but the one who does the will of God abides forever.
