🙇🏻 Wisdom & Revelation to Know God, The Hope of His Calling, Riches of Glorious Inheritance and the Surpassing Greatness of His Power, Eph 1:15-23, "For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all those God has Made Holy, 16 do not cease giving thanks for you in my praying: 17 'That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a Spirit of Wisdom and of Revelation in the true knowledge of Himself. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so you will know the hope of His calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in those who have been sanctified, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accord with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He exerted in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His Right Hand in the Heavenly Places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, in this age and in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way,'" Eph 1:15-23. Thank You in Jesus' Name

We join you in this beautiful and biblical prayer from Eph 1:15-23 and we give thanks with you for the faith in the Lord Jesus that God has placed in your heart and for your love for all those God has made holy.

We love that you are asking for exactly what the apostle Paul asked for, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your heart enlightened. This is the greatest pursuit of our lives, to know Him more. As it is written let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am Yahweh who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for I delight in these things says Yahweh, Jer 9:24. And our prayer is that you may know Him and the power of His resurrection, Phil 3:10.

We also pray with you to truly grasp the hope of His calling, that you would walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, Eph 4:1, knowing that you have been called to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 1 Pet 1:4. We pray you will see the riches of the glory of His inheritance in those who have been sanctified, understanding how precious you are to Him and how precious His people are, and that you would experience the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of His might which He worked in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and made Him to sit at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come, Eph 1:19-21.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we thank You for our brother or sister who hungers to know You. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would pour out a spirit of wisdom and revelation that they may know You more intimately and more truly. Enlighten the eyes of their heart we pray, that they may know the hope to which You have called them, the glorious riches of Your inheritance in Your holy people, and the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe, the same power that raised Christ from the dead. Fill them with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, Col 1:9, and if they lack wisdom we ask that You give generously as You have promised, James 1:5. Draw them into deeper fellowship with Your Son and keep them rooted and grounded in love to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, Eph 3:19. We ask all of this in the mighty and only name by which we have access to You, the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray this prayer daily and to linger in the Word where God reveals Himself. As you meditate on Eph 1:15-23 and the whole counsel of Scripture, the Holy Spirit will open your understanding and make Christ more real to you than ever before. Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking, for everyone who asks receives and he who seeks finds, Matt 7:8.

We were encouraged by your prayer for wisdom and revelation to know Him more deeply and to grasp the hope and power you described. That hunger itself is a beautiful sign of God at work in you.

We have found that this kind of knowing rarely comes all at once. Like any real growth, it happens gradually, almost imperceptibly, over a lifetime with highs and lows. It is more like training for a long race than trying hard for a moment. God uses ordinary, faithful practices to shape us over time.

If it helps, consider keeping it simple and sustainable this week. Set aside a little unhurried time each day to be with the Lord in His Word and in prayer, not to rush through but to listen and be honest before Him. Worship with other believers when you can, and ask the Holy Spirit to make Christ more real to you, since real growth only happens as He works in us. Each person's walk looks a bit different, so notice what helps you stay attentive to Him and stay with it.

Father, we thank You for this hunger to know You. Give our friend a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the true knowledge of Yourself, enlighten the eyes of the heart, and make Your hope and power more real day by day. Draw them close and keep them steady in Your love. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is great cause for thanksgiving in the prayer you have brought before the Lord, for you ask for that which God delights to give. We have heard your desire drawn from Ephesians 1:15-23 and we join you in praying that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the true knowledge of Himself.

You ask for wisdom, and we are reminded that Christ Himself is the power of God and the wisdom of God. He is not only wise, He is made of God unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. The wisdom you seek is not policy nor craft, but Christ personally dwelling in the heart, Christ in His gospel, and Christ formed within you by the Holy Spirit. True wisdom is to trust in the Lord, and happy is the man who so trusts, for he stands next to the Eternal One by faith in Jesus.

We pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, that you may know the hope of His calling. This calling is a holy calling, a high calling, and a heavenly calling. It is not of man but of God, a call from on high that lifts the heart to heavenly things and sets it upon holiness and eternity. May the Lord show you that He who has called you will keep you, and that if you are pressing toward the mark for the prize of this high calling in Christ Jesus, you have sure evidence of His gracious work within you.

We pray further that you may know the riches of the glory of His inheritance in those who have been sanctified. What a testimony God has given of His Fatherhood and of His adoption of all who believe in His Son. You are His, and He is yours, and the inheritance is glorious because the people themselves are His treasure, purchased by precious blood.

And we pray that you may know what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of the strength of His might which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion. This is the power with God of which the Scriptures speak. It is not a power in ourselves, but power by reason of what is in God, power given to those who draw near through Christ. The Lamb is upon the throne of God, co equal and co eternal with the Father, and all power is given unto Him in heaven and in earth. He who pleads with you to come unto Him will give you power to overcome sin and to bear your burdens as you come.

So we commend you to Him. May the Lord turn this blessed hope from a possible hope into an actual hope through believing in Jesus Christ, may He purify you by that hope, and may He keep you trusting in Him alone for salvation. We ask this not because there is hope in ourselves, for in ourselves there is no hope, but because there is hope in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior.

We give thanks for you and pray that you may experience in full measure this wisdom, this hope, this inheritance, and this power, to the praise of His glory. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
