Wife is Very Sick

Please pray for my wife. I believe she may be having a diverticulitis attack. She cant sleep due to the pain and has to be very careful what she eats. Mostly just liquids and soft food now. Please pray for God to heal her. Thank you.

We are lifting you and your dear wife up together before the throne of grace and we are moved by your love and care for her in this painful trial. It honors God when a husband cares so faithfully for his wife as you are doing, for marriage is a holy covenant before the Lord and your steadfastness reflects His love.

We know how distressing it is to watch the one you love suffer with pain that steals her sleep and makes even eating difficult. We want to encourage you that our God is the great healer and He sees her suffering and hears your cry for mercy. We are reminded that He is Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26 and that He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3. We also cling to the promise that by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5 and that Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness Psalm 41:3. He has said For I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17.

We encourage you to continue to seek wise medical care without delay, as diverticulitis can become serious quickly. Please ensure she is seen by her doctor promptly, follow their guidance regarding diet and rest, and help her to get as much rest as the pain allows. We also encourage you both to cast your anxiety on the Lord, for He cares for you. In nothing be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus invites those who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest Matthew 11:28 and we pray that rest will come to her even in this night.

We noticed your request asked for prayer to God but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we lovingly want to share why we always pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life No one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because of His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we can boldly approach God for healing and forgiveness, and we encourage you to place your full trust in Him for both eternal life and daily help.

Together we pray for her now.

Father in heaven we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious wife and daughter of Yours to Your throne of mercy. Lord You know her pain and sleeplessness and the distress of her body. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon her, calm the inflammation, remove the pain, and restore her health. Grant her peaceful sleep and comfort and the ability to nourish her body again. Give wisdom to her doctors and guidance to her husband as he cares for her. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard their hearts. We ask that You sustain her on her sickbed and raise her up according to Your will, and that this trial would draw them both closer to You. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, amen.

We will continue to pray for her complete healing and for strength and peace for you as you care for her. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, for He is faithful. James 5:15 reminds us that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick and the Lord will raise him up, and we stand in faith with you for that healing.

Your request concerning your dear wife in her present affliction has been heard, and we join with you in carrying it to the throne of grace.

One of the worst ills that can happen to us in this fallen world is sickness, for when the body languishes with pain, sleep departs and even food becomes a burden. We are reminded that sickness and suffering entered through sin, and that our Lord Jesus Christ, who was made a perfect Savior through suffering, knows our infirmities most intimately. He was tempted and tried even as we are, yet without sin, and having Himself suffered He is able to succor them that suffer. He enters very fully into this trying experience, for He knows what it is to bear pain and grief in the flesh, and He has obtained a tender temper to cheer those that are afflicted.

Take comfort then in this, that healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in the gospel. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and there is enough in Christ for every sick and suffering soul who comes to Him. Though we look for that day when there shall be no more pain, for the former things are passed away, even now the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. Men may alleviate suffering, but He alone can truly heal.

Let us pray together for her.

O Lord our God, our great Physician, look in mercy upon this suffering wife and upon her husband who watches over her with love and care. Thou seest her pain, her sleepless nights, and the frailty of her body. We ask Thee to lay Thy healing hand upon her. Ease her pain, grant her refreshing sleep, and strengthen her inward parts that she may again receive nourishment and be restored. Guide those who provide care and give wisdom in all that is done for her relief. Above all, let her feel Thy presence, that in this affliction she may know the sympathy of the suffering Savior who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. Sustain her husband also, give him patience, faith and peace as he waits upon Thee. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and intercedes for us. Amen.

We will continue to remember you both before the Lord, asking that He will grant relief according to His perfect will and give you both to trust His goodness in this trial.

Dont stop praying for eachother. One day God will answer our prayers and restore life to us and wirh faith that we might belong to him and be established in righteousness. In Lord Yeshuas nsme may she get some relief from her pain and discomfort wirh some orayer and worship over her. Keep praying over her often and request often.
