Why?

It is understandable to want clear answers from the Bible about hell, and Scripture does speak plainly about it. The Bible teaches that hell is real, not as a story or symbol only, but as a place of judgment and separation from God for those who die without repentance and faith in Christ.

One reason this teaching can be hard to hear is that it is meant to warn us. The Scriptures present hell as fire and punishment, as in the account of the rich man and Lazarus where the rich man who lived for himself was condemned to torment while Lazarus was comforted, and as in the warnings Jesus gave that those who do not do what God requires will fall under judgment. God threatens hell beforehand so that hearing of it we might turn and live in a way that we do not fall into it.

There is also a deception that tries to persuade people that there is no hell at all, so that they become careless. That is a device of the enemy, who wants people to be fearless about judgment and therefore more likely to fall into it. The fear of judgment, when it is held in a healthy way before our eyes, actually helps keep us from the very thing we fear, just as the people of Nineveh heard the warning that their city would be destroyed and they repented and were spared.

Talking about hell is not meant to crush you but to make the soul pure and sober, and to point you to the only rescue. The Bible is clear that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. He bore judgment on the cross and rose again so that all who trust in Him, turn from sin, and follow Him may be forgiven and not come into condemnation but enter the kingdom of heaven.

I do not know why another website may have removed your posts, and I cannot speak for their moderation, but I can assure you that asking what the Bible says about hell is a good and necessary question, and you are welcome to ask it here.

If you are seeking guidance, the best response to the reality of hell is to come to Christ in faith, confess your sins, trust His death and resurrection for your forgiveness, and walk in obedience to His word by the help of the Holy Spirit. Read the Gospels carefully, especially the warnings and promises of Jesus, and ask God for a heart that takes His word seriously.

I pray that God will give you clarity as you study the Scriptures, convict you where needed, comfort you with the grace offered in Jesus, and lead you into truth and holiness so that you may escape the punishment to come and live in hope of eternal life with Him.
