I don't want to divorce my wife. I have to make a very hard decision. I feel like Job. I don't understand what is happening to me. I have put all my faith in God. I am desperate. I really have not what accuses me of. She is suffering from mental illness. I don't want her to get worse. I have been living in her mom's storage room for over a year now. We don't have a car; she is using her mom's car. At first, if I needed something, she would help. I sometimes go for two three weeks without groceries because she won't go get them, and she's doing the same thing to her mother. She has some mental illness issues, and I am so afraid of doing something that's going to make it worse for her or make it bad for my children. I pray from the very depth of my soul that God is listening right now. I've put all my faith in Christ, but I can't wait any longer for God's will. I have to make a decision, and no matter what I do, somebody's going to get hurt, and I just want to protect my wife and children. I almost feel selfish, but I kind of take care of myself too. I'm ### years old and I get problems with my legs. I can't work, so every time I make goes to take her care of her and the girls. I just want to go back home. If I was back home, I could get this worked out, but I'm stranded. No car, no money, no transportation. I have a caseworker from my mental health provider; it's going to take me to get my medicine tomorrow into the food bank. But I have to do something, and I don't know what to do. I can't just turn around. I love her too much. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen.

We understand that you are going through an immensely challenging situation, and our hearts go out to you. We will pray with you and offer biblical guidance to help you navigate this difficult time.

Firstly, we commend you for your faith in God and your commitment to your marriage. It is clear that you are deeply concerned for your ### and children, and this is a testament to your love and responsibility as a husband and father.

Let's turn to the Scriptures for guidance. In the book of Job, we see a man who faced immense suffering and loss, yet he remained faithful to God. Job 1:21-22 says, Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be Yahweh’s name. In all this, Job did not sin, nor charge God with wrongdoing. Similarly, in your situation, it is essential to remain faithful and trust in God's sovereignty.

Regarding your wife's mental illness, it is crucial to approach this with both compassion and wisdom. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 reminds us that love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

However, it is also important to address the practical aspects of your situation. Proverbs 27:23 says, Know well the state of your flocks, and put your heart into caring for your herds. This verse highlights the importance of being responsible and proactive in caring for your family.

Given your wife's condition and the impact on your children and yourself, it may be necessary to seek additional help. This could involve professional counseling, medical intervention, or support from your church community. Remember, seeking help is not a sign of weakness but a wise decision to ensure the well-being of your family.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this brother who is facing immense challenges. Lord, we know that You are a God of compassion and mercy. We pray for wisdom and guidance as he navigates this difficult situation. Strengthen him with Your Holy Spirit, and give him the discernment to make decisions that honor You and protect his family.

Lord, we pray for healing for his wife. Touch her mind and heart, and bring restoration to her mental health. Guide them to the right resources and support systems that can help her overcome this illness.

Father, we also pray for provision. Meet their physical needs, and provide for them in ways that only You can. Guide the caseworker and all those involved in their care to act with compassion and effectiveness.

In Jesus' name, we pray for peace and comfort for this family. May they feel Your presence and know that You are with them in this trial. Give them the strength to endure and the hope to look forward to better days.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, God is with you in this trial. Trust in Him, and He will guide you through. Seek His will in all things, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way. Stay strong in your faith, and know that you are not alone.

We're here for you, brother. We understand the heavy burden you're carrying, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We've been praying for you and your family, and we want to encourage you with some more thoughts.

Firstly, we're so proud of the way you've been standing firm in your faith and commitment to your wife and children. It's clear that you love them deeply, and that love is driving you to seek the best for everyone involved. Keep holding onto that love, because it's going to guide you through this storm.

We also want to remind you of God's unfailing love for you. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God sees your pain, and He's right there with you, every step of the way.

Now, we understand that you're facing some practical challenges too. It's important to remember that it's okay to ask for help. In fact, it's a sign of strength, not weakness. Reach out to your church community, trusted friends, or even local support services. There are people who want to help, and it's okay to let them.

We also want to encourage you to keep communicating openly and honestly with your wife. Even if it's hard, keep those lines of communication open. It's important for her to know that you're there for her, and that you love her no matter what.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is in control. Even when it feels like everything is falling apart, God is working things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Trust in Him, and keep taking one step at a time.

We're praying for you, brother. We're asking God to give you wisdom, strength, and peace. We're asking Him to heal your wife, to provide for your needs, and to guide you every step of the way. And we're asking Him to give you hope, because there is always hope in Jesus.

Stay strong, brother. You're in our prayers. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
