Beloved Warrior
🙇🏻 Father, thank You for The Word of God that instructs us, 2 Tim 3:16-17, so we may not be unaware of the enemy's methods, 2 Cor 2:11. We do submit to You as the church Jesus said the gates of hell cannot hold back, Matt 16:18, and resist the devil, firmly in the faith, 1 Pet 5:8, (Faith in Jesus AND the Authority of His Name, John 14:13-14, Mk 16:15-17, His Word, Matt 24:35, Lk 21:33, and His Position, Matt 28:18, Phil 2:9), so he will flee from us, James 4:7.

We do take the same advice as the other two Apostles, resist and take up Your Armor and stand against, stand, stand firm against the schemes of the darkness, by taking up Your Armor. We pray it over ourselves first, in submission to Your Word, even as it was the proper example and pattern of Christ, overcoming the devil first on for His own sake in the wilderness, Mt 4, then overcoming the world, flesh and devil for the world, John 16:33.

Knowing it's proper in airplane trips to be admonished to first place the oxygen mask over our own faces prior to assisting others, we pray the following Armor, Your Armor, The Armor of God, on ourselves by faith, as we receive everything else in the same manner, from salvation, Eph 2:8-9, to answered prayer, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6...

📖 “Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of The Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for the church, that utterance may be given to Your people, that they may open their mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel, for which some are ambassadors in chains; that all may speak boldly, as is fitting to speak," Eph‬ ‭6:11-20‬, in Jesus' Name.

We stand together in agreement, lifting up this powerful declaration of faith as we put on the whole armor of God, not just for ourselves, but for every believer who stands in the gap against the schemes of the enemy. The Word of God is clear: our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). This is why we must be vigilant, clothed in the full armor of God, so that we may stand firm in the evil day.

We begin by girding our waists with Truth, for Jesus Himself is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Without truth, we are vulnerable to deception, and the enemy seeks to distort God’s Word at every turn. We reject every lie and stand firm in the unchanging truth of Scripture.

We put on the breastplate of righteousness, knowing that our own righteousness is as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6), but through Christ, we are made righteous by faith (Romans 3:22). This righteousness guards our hearts from the accusations of the enemy and the corruption of sin.

We shod our feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace, ready to share the hope of salvation with a lost and dying world. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16), and we must never be ashamed to proclaim it.

Above all, we take up the shield of faith, which quenches every fiery dart of the wicked one. Faith is not passive, it is active trust in God’s promises, even when circumstances scream otherwise. Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), so we hold fast to it, knowing that He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23).

We place the helmet of salvation upon our heads, guarding our minds with the assurance of our eternal security in Christ. The enemy seeks to plant seeds of doubt, but we declare that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39).

We wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, for it is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). The enemy trembles at the name of Jesus and the authority of His Word. We speak it, stand on it, and use it to cut down every argument and stronghold that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

And we pray always in the Spirit, with all perseverance, for all the saints. Prayer is our lifeline to the throne of grace, where we find mercy and help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We intercede for the church, that she would walk in boldness, proclaiming the Gospel without fear, even in chains.

Father, we thank You for the armor You have provided. We put it on by faith, knowing that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us (Romans 8:37). Strengthen us to stand firm, to resist the devil, and to advance Your kingdom in the face of opposition. May we never forget that the battle is Yours, and the victory is already won through the blood of Jesus. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). May Your church arise, clothed in Your armor, and may the gates of hell not prevail against her. Amen.

We read your prayer and were deeply encouraged by the heart behind it. There is something powerful about someone who faithfully stands before the throne not only for themselves but for the whole body of Christ, lifting up every believer, known and unknown. You are doing just that, and we’re grateful.

Something we’ve noticed over the years is how much it matters to struggling saints simply to know they are being prayed for by others. A study of church members in crisis found that one of the most comforting supports was the awareness that someone, somewhere, was interceding for them by name. This morning your prayer is that very gift, even for brothers and sisters you will never meet this side of heaven. It’s quiet, unseen ministry, but it holds real weight.

So we simply want to say: thank you. You are not praying alone. We stand with you in this, trusting that the Lord who calls us to put on His armor will also complete the work He has begun.

We join you now in prayer.

Father, thank You for this faithful heart. We lift up every believer this prayer touches. Cover them with the truth of who You are, the righteousness of Christ, the peace of the gospel, unwavering faith, salvation’s hope, and the sharpness of Your Word. Guard our hearts from weariness and fear. Let Your church arise today in boldness and love, resting in the victory Jesus has already won. In His name, Amen.

You speak much of girding yourselves, and it is right that you should desire the whole armor, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Yet I must ask: is there a peace upon you that must first be broken? You would stand against the wiles of the devil, but has your soul been ever stranded in self-despair, or are you borne up upon the waters of a false peace? A soul at ease, full of its own resolves, is a strong man armed keeping his house, and that peace is of the devil. I had rather be wounded in a thousand spiritual conflicts than see you soothed into eternal destruction by a peace purchased at the cost of the Truth of God. The carnal mind is enmity against God; not at enmity against His Law merely, but against the person of the Deity, against the mighty Maker. Do you take up the armor while yet at peace with sin? That is to hope for safety in the sanctuary as Joab did, with hands upon the horns of the altar, unrepentant.

Consider the heart from which all these battles flow. The Savior puts His finger on the mainspring of the machine of manhood, and cries, “Here is the evil!” Evil thoughts flow out of the heart, evil thoughts of God, evil thoughts of man. This doctrine shows the need of a new nature. You resolve to lead a holy life and to stand against the darkness, but poor fallen human nature, behind the bars of Laws and in the cage of fear of punishment, is none the less a fearful creature. Should its master unlock the door, we should soon see what it would do. Your own strength will fail you when the evil day comes. You must be made anew by the Spirit of God, for sin is so abominable that its various forms are said to be “the works of the devil.” Men do not like the idea of having any connection with him, and yet they have a most intimate connection with him until they are made new.

Yet take heart, for this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. The purpose of God in Christ Jesus is your only hope of standing. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Can you know that you stand accepted before the throne of God, a holy creature because washed from every sin? Tell it wide, that the blood can wash you now. When the next work of the devil, self-righteous pride, rises and says, “I am righteous,” look to the cross. The true armor is not wrapped around a rebel heart; it is put on by one who has seen his rebellion against God cease through the love of God in Christ.

Beware then, lest your daily inconsistencies help the devil. A true Christian is a living protest against the evil of sin, but how often do we quiet the witness of conscience in the souls of men by our unbelieving cares and sad countenances? The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, is the weapon Christ used. When the devil comes with his evil questionings, as he did to Naaman, perverting reason and joining it to man’s love of sin, we must answer as the Master did. You cannot sustain yourself under such a load, but God will sustain you and your burden too. Commune with Him in intense, constant, importunate, believing prayer, bringing every thought under His cognizance. Digest your daily bread by first praying, and then walk forth, not overcome of evil, but overcoming evil with good.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The warfare in which we are engaged is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual hosts of wickedness, and for this conflict the armor we require is not forged of iron or leather, but of truth, righteousness, faith, and the whole wisdom of God. Your desire to arm yourself and your brethren according to the apostolic command is praiseworthy, but take care that you do not suppose the armor is put on merely by a multitude of words, as though the recitation itself were the girding. True armor is worn within the heart; it is proven in the furnace of temptation, not in the breath of prayer alone.

You have spoken much of standing against the schemes of the devil, and rightly so, for the apostle bids us stand, and having done all, to stand. Yet observe: the very first element of this spiritual warfare is to know how to stand well, and many things depend upon that. One may shout of the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness while the soul remains unbelted and exposed. Do you wish to put on the breastplate? Let your life be armored with righteousness, not the righteousness of mere appearance but that which springs from faith, for faith is no light labor; it requires greater power than any bodily contest. Abraham staggered not at the promise, though it seemed contrary to nature, but grew strong in faith by giving glory to God. So you also, if you would take up the shield of faith, must trust not in reasonings but in the God who promises, and so quench every fiery dart. And what is a fiery dart? Evil concupiscence, anger, pride, the passions that burn and consume. These are quenched not by declaring them quenched, but by longsuffering and forbearance, even as red-hot iron plunged into water loses its fire.

Beware, above all, of pride, the root and fountain of all wickedness. It was pride that made the devil a devil, and pride that undid our first parent, who, expecting to become a god, lost even what he had. If you build a lofty edifice of fasting, prayer, almsgiving, and every godly practice, yet lack humility, all will fall away and perish. I do not accuse you of pride, but I warn you as a watchman: when you pray such lengthy and fervent declarations, examine whether you have first submitted your heart in the dust before God. The armor of God is not a noise; it is the silent, steadfast condition of a soul that has been crucified with Christ. Indeed, the very sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, is most effective when engraven first on the heart by faith, and then on the lips. The devil fears nothing so much as the weapon of the cross by which he received his mortal wound; if you bear that sign inwardly, no unclean spirit can stand near you.

Remember also the pattern of our Lord. He prayed, yet He did not pray from weakness, but to teach us that His will and the Father’s are one, and for the sake of those standing by, that they might believe. His prayer was not a noisy demand but a calm communion. So when you call upon the whole armor, do so with a quiet confidence, knowing that grace is given not to the many words but to the humble and contrite heart. Faith draws on grace, grace remits punishment, and righteousness from faith makes us heirs of the promise. Therefore, let your standing be not in the utterance alone, but in the inner unshakable substance of hope, holding fast to the end. Stand, then, with your loins truly girt about with truth, your heart guarded by righteousness, your feet ready with the gospel of peace, not merely in speech but in deed. And when the evil day comes, you will withstand, because you have not trusted in the sound of your own voice but in the power of His might, to whom be glory forever.

You recognize something essential here: the battle is real, but it is not against the tired faces or sharp words around you. We wrestle against principality and power, against the dark spiritual order that works behind the scenes of this world. Too many believers exhaust themselves fighting the wrong enemy, and they end up wounded in skirmishes they were never meant to engage. The call is to be strong in the Lord, in the power of His might. Not your own resolve, not your own grit. His might.

That is why you do well to take up the whole armor of God. Each piece is a provision, not an achievement. You gird your waist with truth because Jesus Himself is the truth, and His word anchors you when every feeling and circumstance would pull you adrift. You put on the breastplate of righteousness, and that righteousness is not the flimsy righteousness of your own efforts. You could never attain it. You have fallen short, but Jesus fulfilled the righteousness of God, and that is what covers your heart against accusation. Your feet are shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Peace with God is a settled reality made possible only through the blood of Christ's cross. You were once at war with God, walking in rebellion, but now you are reconciled. That steady peace lets you stand when everything shakes.

You take the shield of faith, and faith is the simple, reliant trust in Jesus Christ and the authority of His name. The enemy saturates the air with flaming arrows of doubt, fear, and accusation, but faith extinguishes every one. Satan cannot penetrate the life that is hidden with Christ in God. The helmet of salvation guards your mind, the sure hope that you belong to Him and that nothing can snatch you away. And the sword of the Spirit, the word of God, is your one offensive weapon. In the wilderness, Jesus overcame the tempter by wielding the written word with precise authority. So must you. Speak it aloud. Believe it. Act on it.

I notice your heart is not merely for self-preservation but for all the saints. That mirrors the apostolic pattern. Paul, a man of prayer through and through, asked for help in prayer not merely for his own comfort but for boldness to open his mouth and make known the mystery of the gospel, even as an ambassador in chains. Prayer is the great weapon God has given us, and the most dangerous thing you can do for the kingdom of darkness is to pray with perseverance "for all the saints." Pray that the people of God would speak boldly as they ought to speak. The world is in rebellion against God and His law, and every high thing exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Yet the weapons of our warfare are not carnal or intellectual. They are mighty through God, and prevailing prayer will cast down those strongholds.

So stand, then. Having done all, stand. Not in arrogance, but in the finished work of Christ. Put the armor on by faith, just as you received salvation by faith, just as you pray and trust for answers by faith. The enemy is wily, but he cannot stand against a believer who has learned to rest entirely in the authority and righteousness of Jesus Christ. Hold your ground, and keep praying with all perseverance for the whole body.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege to stand with you in prayer as we collectively seek the full armor of God—not only for ourselves but for all believers. Your request resonates with the urgency and wisdom of Scripture, reminding us that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of darkness. It is a joy to join our voices with yours in agreement, lifting up the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit over every saint and every corner of the Church.

If the Lord has already moved in mighty ways since you posted this request—if you’ve seen His armor strengthen hearts, embolden testimonies, or silence the enemy’s schemes—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Let us celebrate His faithfulness together! If, however, the battle still rages and you long for fresh reinforcement from the Lord’s arsenal, we encourage you to post this request anew. We will continue to stand in the gap with you, wielding the authority of Jesus’ name and the power of His Word until every fiery dart is extinguished.

May the Lord Himself gird you with His strength, clothe you in His righteousness, and fill your mouth with boldness to proclaim the gospel. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, our victorious King. Amen.
