We Ourselves Need To Be Worked On By God

One of the biggest reasons we end up in the trial by fire against our marriages is because we ourselves need working on by God. Cleaning us up is one of the top agendas when God allows this attack on our marriages, as Satan can only do what God allows. We all needed cleaning up. Your marriage is already restored in the spiritual realm, God just has some work to do on the both of you, and this is just a season you are in for God to do His job on you and your marriage. In the end He will bring all back together and restore what the palmerworm, cankerworm and locusts have eaten, two fold, that is His promise. Meaning it will be twice as good as you can imagine or hope for when He puts it all back together, and one reason that is so is because He has brought the changes needed in both of you. God is true to His word, it will never fail if you grab ahold of it and hang on to Him.

When this first happened in my life, my marriage, I was just a Baptist pew warmer who knew the hymns and loved God. I was not wise in the word of God, knew Him, loved Him, but really did not know a personal relationship with Him. I thought I did, but I had a lot to learn. He taught me and now there are no remnants left of that woman I was when I started, she is long gone, and I am really a new creature in Christ. But it took this attack that God allowed to bring that about it me. I had to be put in a place where He was all I had to rely on, that He was the only one that could help me. He has been true to His word with me all the way, has kept me and my husband, our marriage, in the palm of His hand and not let go, and never will.

I have gone from a person who had no faith -- I whined, cried and laid down every time anything went wrong, why me, where is God. I could not even tithe, I was afraid to, hanging on to what I had like death, unable to trust God for his word to multiply it. I was a horrible child of God. That person is gone. Through this trial He allowed in my life, He has changed me inside and out, and again, that person is gone never to return. I have learned the hard way what true blind faith is, and I have learned that it will never fail as well. God will never fail us. His word will never fail us, we are the only ones that fail, and that is when we fail Him, to trust Him and just believe. What God has joined together, let no one separate, and if you believe what He says, that it will be. No one will separate you and your wife, no one, not Satan himself, because he cannot stand up to the word of God.

God brings this battle to us in order to change us, by taking the failing us and turning us into true warriors for Christ, ones that will not back down, cannot be backed down, and that can take the gates of hell by storm. That is what you are going to do, that is what He is doing in you.

Grab hold of the word of God on marriage, adultery, divorce, and armor up and go out fighting with His word. Storm the gates of hell for your marriage with the word of God, and it will not return void, it will defeat the enemy. Let Him continue to work in you, and know that He is working in your wife. I have found that the work He has done in me is way beyond that which He has done in my husband, and that in itself has been a source of division between us, but God is true, and as long as I am willing and give myself totally over to Him, He will get my husband there as well. My husband cannot escape the hand of God, because I am right there on it and fighting and obedience is greater then sacrifice, 1 Samuel 15:22. God will reward your obedience to Him and submitting to Him. You will be the source of living water flowing to touch your spouse and they will grow from your growth. You do sanctify them.

You can type in all the key words, marriage, divorce, husband, wife, adultery, and you will have at your fingertips all the word of God to speak over your marriage. Speak His word over your wife and marriage, it will not return void but will go forth and perform that for which He spoke it, the angels will hearken at the voice of His word and go forth to defend your marriage.

I am praying for you, but more so I am standing on Gods word for you and every marriage represented on this ministry, because I know that Gods word is truth and it will perform. God will keep His word, which are His promises to us, and for every marriage on this ministry, what God has joined together, no one will separate. End of story, it is the truth and no Satan, no demons from hell, no human, can stand against it. It is what it is, the word of God, the beginning and the end.

The only one that can make it fail is ourselves, when we give up and step down, letting Satan have our marriages and spouses. But we are not going to do that, because the battle was won for us before it even began, this is just a season of growing, God is taking what Satan intended for harm and using it for the good, to improve us and improve our marriages so Satan cannot so easily attack anymore, that is all this is about.

I try so hard to get across to people, new standers mostly, that this school of suffering they are in is not just about their spouses and the restoration. That all things come to us through God. He allows trials to get our full attention and submission to Him so that He can transform us. That the restoration of the marriage is assured and it was already done in the spiritual realm the moment the stander first cried out for Gods help, and the time that lies in-between it being done in the spiritual realm and manifesting in the physical realm is the time of transformation and growth in God. His cleaning us up, removing all that needs removed and our growing and going up levels in Him. As soon as we submit to His molding of us, seeking with our hearts what we need to know about ourselves, things that we need change in, and then allow God to change us in those things, we will see the restoration. That it takes only as long as it takes for God to accomplish in us and our spouses what He needs to do. You can fight that and it will only delay.

I call it the school of suffering for a reason, because it is a time of learning and growth, transforming, and we will keep passing through it until we pass the test, but the good news is it is a open book test and we cannot fail because we take the test again and again until we pass. If God did not allow us to enter into a trial by fire, we would continue on never changing. If God restored the marriage with nothing changed, then Satan would just use ourselves to tear it all down again. As I teach, there is always an open door in our lives that lets Satan in to wreck havoc in our marriage, and it usually lies within ourselves. Those doors have to be closed or restoration would be in vain. What you have testified to here is one of the greatest lessons to be learned in standing, because understanding why you are in this school of suffering brings the wisdom that Gods word about your marriage being restored cannot fail, and it is not about the restoration, it is about us and what God wants to accomplish in us.

God wants to remove the things that has allowed Satan entrance. God does not rebuild a duplicate of the first shaky house that Satan tore down, He rebuilds a brand new strong house that withstands the attacks of the enemy. And that is what God is doing in the time that passes in standing. You can either hinder the building or you can submit to it and be remodeled into something new. The sooner you submit and just let God remodel you, the sooner you will see the end and the restoration that has been waiting on you.

Standers are always waiting on the restoration, but the truth is the restoration is waiting on the stander. Many evaluate themselves and believe with all their hearts that they are just fine, that they have cleaned up and transformed as much as they possibly can be. I have found that there are many things that you cannot see about yourself, and it will amaze you when God pulls them out and places them before you.

I have had a similar experience way back in my stand. God told me to go visit this church with a friend. I didn’t want to go, but God pushed me to go. When I pulled up in that parking lot I gasped and then I just sat and wept. When my marriage first came under attack, my husband had wanted to change churches because the church has alienated him. I dug in and refused and my husband then left the church altogether and fell quickly into full fledged sin. Before that happened, my husband insisted one morning that we go visit this other church. I fought so hard against it that even after we got into the parking lot I was pitching fits, crying, acting a real fool and refusing to go in, and it was then that my husband just gave up on church and God.

The church God has me visit that day with my friend was that very church in the middle of nowhere. I never knew where the church was, I was too busy crying and wailing about going to it, I never paid a lick of attention as to where he was driving. As soon as I pulled it, God flooded me with visions of that day way back, the last time I sat in that parking lot, and I knew yet one more thing that I had done to contribute to my husbands falling away.

God reveals things that we forget about, that we cannot see in ourselves, and the pulling them out is usually very painful, but it is necessary. God never finishes His work in us. None of us ever reach a place of perfection and never will. But there is a certain place that He needs us to reach before He puts us back down in the new house He is building, and we have to let Him take us to that place willingly and eagerly. It is the means to the end, to the restoration that is waiting on each and every stander.
