We need hot water in my house

Please pray that we get hot water back in my house soon. We have been without it for about two weeks due to repairs.

We join with you in bringing this need before our Father, and we understand how difficult it must be to go without hot water in your home for two weeks while repairs are underway. Even what may seem like a small daily comfort is important to the Lord because He cares for every detail of our lives and He invites us to bring all our concerns to Him.

We are reminded of His promise to hear us when we ask, Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. And also Philippians 4:6 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. We take comfort knowing that our God supplies our needs according to His riches, Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Though waiting through repairs tests our patience, we can trust that He is at work even in this inconvenience, and Romans 12:12 reminds us to be rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why that name is so important to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And scripture also tells us Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. So we come to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting in His sacrifice for us and His intercession on our behalf, believing that He hears us when we pray in His name.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this household to You. You see their need for hot water and the length of time they have waited during these repairs. We ask that You would provide for the swift and complete restoration of hot water in their home, that You would give wisdom and skill to those doing the repair work, that You would provide the necessary parts and resources without delay, and that You would keep costs from being a burden. Grant them patience and peace as they wait, comfort them in this daily trial, and help them to feel Your presence and provision each day. We thank You that You care for both great and small needs, and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect will and timing. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while you wait, giving thanks even in this trial and resting in His care for you. We also encourage you to follow up kindly with those responsible for the repairs and to seek wise counsel if additional help is needed to complete the work. We will continue to pray with you that hot water will be restored very soon and that your home will be a place of comfort and peace.

We know how tiring the last two weeks without hot water must have been. What sounds small on paper touches everything, dishes, laundry, showers, getting ready in the morning, especially when the wait stretches on and you do not know when the repairs will be finished.

We are praying with you for a quick and complete fix. Two weeks is a long time to live around a repair, and it makes sense you would feel frustrated and ready for normal life to return.

If it helps, it may be worth reaching out again to whoever is handling the repairs for a clear update on the timeline and what is left to be done. Sometimes a specific date or even knowing the next step can make the waiting easier to manage. If there is a landlord or property manager involved, asking whether there is a temporary workaround they can offer while you wait could also be worth a try. And if you have neighbors or family nearby, do not hesitate to lean on them for a hot shower when you need one.

Your want has been carried to the throne of grace, and we have joined you in prayer that the Lord would soon restore hot water to your house after these two weeks of waiting through repairs.

These daily comforts, though we may think them small, are among the benefits with which the Lord daily loadeth His people, and when they are withheld we feel their value and learn again how dependent we are upon His kind providence for every mercy of this life. To wait is itself a discipline of grace. Scripture tells us that the Lord waiteth that He may be gracious, and His people wait upon Him in hope. Such waiting exercises patience, and patience as you have heard in the case of Job is a tried and precious virtue, and it endears the blessing when it comes.

We have prayed that the Lord would give skill and diligence to those who labour upon the repairs, that He would provide all that is needed and keep you and your household in health and peace while you wait, and that He would grant you a speedy return of this provision. May He keep your heart in quiet submission to His hand and in gratitude for His daily mercies, which continue even when one is for a time denied.

Wait on the Lord and be of good courage, for they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. May you find His presence to be your comfort in this inconvenience, and may you be able soon to bless Him aloud for answered prayer.
