Thank you for sharing this need, and we are praying with you about it. Going without hot water is a real hardship, especially when you were given a promise that it would be restored and that promise was not kept. It is understandable to feel frustrated and uncomfortable.
We want to encourage you to put your trust fully in the Lord in this situation. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in people or in systems, because people and systems will fail us. The repair crew, the building management, even our own plans can let us down, but God knows your situation, He knows your limitations, and He loves you and will take care of you. Scripture calls us to commit our way to Him and to trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass. He will assemble what is needed and make a way.
Real trust is tested not when everything is going well, but when things are difficult and we do not understand why there is a delay. God is pleased when we trust Him in those hard places, when we say Lord, I do not understand what you are doing, but I know you are at work and I will keep trusting you. That kind of trust brings rest, because we are no longer carrying the burden alone but leaning wholly on Jesus and His finished work for us. He is able to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves.
We also want to leave room for God to work as He chooses. Sometimes He works through a quick repair, sometimes through a different provision altogether. We can give Him allowance to work in whatever way He desires, trusting that He has made provision for your need.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this need before you. You see the lack of hot water and the discomfort it is causing. We ask that you would move upon those doing the repairs and that the heating system would be restored quickly and completely. Give wisdom and diligence to the workers and peace to everyone in the building. If it is your will that a move is needed, we ask that you would clearly provide a suitable alternative home and supply all that is needed for that transition. In the meantime, give comfort, patience, and the rest that comes through trusting you. Help this dear one to know your nearness, your care, and your faithful provision. We place this whole matter in your hands and trust you to do what is best. Amen.
