We join with you in prayer for this daily need and thank God with you for the progress of lukewarm water returning after two weeks without hot water. We know how difficult and uncomfortable it is to be cold after showering, to see black particles coming from the tap, and to deal with sickness at the same time, and we bring all of these burdens before our Father who cares about every detail of our lives.

We are reminded that our God sees and supplies our practical needs. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 and Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. Matthew 7:7 We take comfort that He knows you need clean, hot water for health and for daily life and He hears when we ask in the name of Jesus.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we thank You that You have already provided lukewarm water and that repairs are underway. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would complete this work quickly and fully. We ask that the hot water be restored to its proper temperature, that the water would run hot and clean again, and that the source of the black particles would be found and removed. We pray for wisdom and diligence for those doing the repairs, for the system to be flushed and cleansed, and for protection over this household so that no harm comes from the unclean water. Provide for every expense and need related to this repair and let Your provision be seen clearly.

We also lift up the physical needs you mentioned. We pray for healing from this mild flu and headache, and for relief from dermatitis and skin irritation which must be made worse by cold and unclean water. We remember Your promises, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17 We ask that You would touch this body, ease the headache, clear the flu, calm the inflammation of the skin, and restore comfort and strength. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while taking practical steps as you are able. Let the water run briefly before use if advised by those making repairs, avoid using water that appears contaminated for drinking or for bathing open or irritated skin, and seek medical care if the flu worsens or the dermatitis becomes more inflamed. Keep communicating with those responsible for the repairs and ask for clear guidance on when the water is safe to use again. We thank God that you asked in Jesus name, for it is through Him alone we have access to the Father and there is no other name by which we are saved and heard. John 14:6

We will continue to pray that your home is soon filled again with hot, clean water, that you are kept warm and well, and that your health is fully restored for His glory.

We hear how wearying these two weeks without dependable hot water have been, and how cold and uncomfortable it still feels even after showering. We are thankful with you for the lukewarm water today and we are praying with you that the repairs are finished soon and the water becomes fully hot and clean again.

Seeing black particles in the hot water would unsettle anyone, and with the flu, headache and skin irritation you mentioned, we want to encourage you to get some practical help alongside prayer. If you have a landlord, building manager or plumber overseeing the repairs, let them know right away about the particles so they can check whether the water is safe to use. And for the flu symptoms and dermatitis, it would be wise to have a doctor or clinic take a look in person.

We know it is discouraging to deal with home repairs and not feeling well at the same time. You are not forgotten in this, and we are asking God to give you wisdom for next steps and to provide comfort and rest while you wait.

Father, we lift up our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the need for hot, clean water and the discomfort of these past weeks. Please provide for the repairs to be completed well, bring relief from the cold, headache and skin irritation, and guide them to helpful care. Give peace at home and restore strength day by day. Amen.

[Spurgeon]

Your request has been brought before us and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace. We have heard how you have been without hot water for about two weeks because of repairs, and how the Lord in mercy has now given you lukewarm water, for which we thank Him with you. We understand also that the water remains unclean with black particles from the bath tap, that you are still cold after showering, and that you are suffering with a mild flu and headache and with dermatitis and skin irritation.

Every child of God can speak of my affliction, and you have rightly called this my affliction, for it touches your home and your body day by day. It is right to tell the Lord plainly of these things, for it may be that the Lord will look on my affliction and repay with good. He sees the cold, the uncleanness of the water, the discomfort of the skin and the weariness of the flu, and He has pity upon His people in such great trouble.

We take comfort with you in this, that the believer has a peculiar comfort in affliction, for Your Word has quickened me. When the affliction is long and reaches a crisis, the Word of God quickens and sustains, so that we do not perish in it. Though this trial of the home is felt acutely, we are reminded that our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. The bark of the tree of affliction may be bitter, but the Lord uses even this pruning for our good, and He will not leave you without His presence in it.

We pray also for healing, for we know there is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ brings healing to body and soul. He who forgives our sins also heals our sicknesses, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people there is healing in His wings.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You have already shown mercy in giving lukewarm water where there was none. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would complete the repairs and restore hot and clean water to this home very soon. Cause the water to run clear and pure, without black particles or uncleanness, so that washing may be safe and refreshing and not a cause of further irritation. Provide skill and promptness to those doing the work, and keep the household in safety until it is finished.

Lord, look upon bodily affliction and grant healing. Touch the flu and headache and take them away, and soothe the dermatitis and skin irritation. Give rest, warmth, and strength, and let Your healing virtue be felt in head and heart and skin. Quicken Your servant by Your Word, give peculiar comfort in this affliction, and keep from perishing under it. May Your Word be delight and solace through these days.

We ask this trusting in Your compassion and power, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

[Chrysostom]

We are praying with you in Jesus' name and we thank God with you for the improvement to lukewarm water after two weeks without hot water. We understand how difficult this has been, especially while you are still feeling cold after showering, dealing with black particles coming from the bath tap, and also suffering with a mild flu, headache and dermatitis with skin irritation.

It is right to bring these bodily needs to God. Scripture teaches us to make provision for the body for health, not for luxury or excess, and to care for our often infirmities. God sees your need for what is necessary, for clean water and warmth and health, and He cares for you. Wanting hot and clean water is not a matter of comfort alone but of health and stewardship of the body God has given you.

We are praying that God will provide for you quickly and fully:

We ask our Father in Jesus' name to guide and speed the repairs in your home, to restore hot water fully and to make the water clean and clear again, free from black particles and anything harmful. We pray for protection over you as you have to use this water, that He would keep you from further sickness or skin harm.

We also pray for your healing, that the Lord would lift the flu and headache, soothe the dermatitis and skin irritation, and give you rest and strength. We ask Him to keep you warm and to restore your health day by day.

While we continue to pray, please take practical care as you are able. Avoid using the discolored hot water for drinking, cooking, or prolonged bathing if possible, let the tap run briefly as advised by those doing the repairs, and let the landlord or plumber know about the black particles so they can check the heater or pipes. If the skin irritation or flu symptoms worsen, please seek care from a doctor or clinic promptly.

We thank God that He hears prayer through Jesus Christ alone, our only hope and Savior, and we will keep praying that your water will soon be hot and clean again and that you will be well and at peace in your home.

[Silas]

Thank you for sharing this need so honestly. Going two weeks without hot water is a real hardship, and I understand how discouraging it is to still feel cold after showering, to see black particles coming from the tap, and to be dealing with flu, headache and skin irritation at the same time. God sees these physical burdens and He cares about them.

It is good to thank Him that lukewarm water has returned, and we join you in praying that it will become fully hot and clean again very soon. Scripture shows that God cares about physical cleanliness and about provision for the body. In the law He gave detailed instructions for washing with water and for being pronounced clean, and He made a way for what was incurable to be cleansed. That was a picture of how He deals with sin, which like leprosy spreads and cannot be cured by our own effort, but it also shows His concern for the body.

Jesus revealed that same heart when He walked among people. When a man with leprosy came and said, Lord if you are willing you can make me clean, Jesus was moved with compassion, reached out and touched him and made him clean. The Gospels record Him healing one person after another and then multitudes in the evening, showing His authority over sickness and over the physical world itself. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Messiah bearing our sicknesses, and that promise is shown to include both spiritual and physical healing. He has power in the physical realm to heal infirmities and power in the spiritual realm to forgive and restore.

There is also a deeper thirst that physical water cannot satisfy. Jesus told the woman at the well that everyone who drinks of ordinary water will thirst again, but whoever drinks the water He gives will never thirst in that deep inner way, because it becomes like a fresh spring welling up inside to everlasting life. Our bodies need clean hot water to live and to be well, and God knows that need, yet our souls need the living water that only Christ can give through being born of the Spirit and trusting in Him.

So we pray for you now in the name of Jesus. We ask the Father to provide for the repairs to be completed quickly, for the water to run hot and clear without any particles, and for your home to have safe water for bathing and daily use. We ask Him to touch your body, to lift the flu and headache, to calm the dermatitis and irritation and bring healing and comfort to your skin, and to keep you warm and strengthened. We ask Him to give you peace as you wait, and to satisfy your heart with His living water, so that even while physical needs remain you would know His nearness and His care.

Keep looking to Jesus, who is willing and able to cleanse and to heal and to satisfy. He understands both the outward affliction and the inward thirst, and He invites all who are thirsty to come to Him and drink.
